"Great food, comfortable drink" is the mission, but at Alice’s, it's about much more than that. With a broad deck that overlooks the main stretch of Lake Hopatcong, fresh produce from nearby Halsey Island, and a naturally simple (but rustic) decor, Alice's is a place that celebrates lake living and good company.

Lake Hopatcong resident Alice Szigethy opened Alice's in June 2009 to expand the selection of lake destinations. In this reinvention of a building that had been a series of eateries over several decades, the space features vaulted ceilings, reclaimed-barn-wood walls, comfy booths, and a full bar that extends from the airy interior to the breezy deck. A mahogany seating bar runs the length of the deck so guests can sit and enjoy a clear panorama of the water, and an austere metal awning gives outdoor diners a shady place to enjoy the view, the breeze-and, of course, the food.

We had a great experience here for Easter Brunch. The food was great, the Easter bunny was very interactive with my kids, service was awesome. Highly recommend!

Was there on Saturday the 19th. Our waitress not very pleasant and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Have been there several times , live local and had no problem before . Had the bowl and was very dry. Would love to come back as a nice place for locals but service was not very good and very overpriced for what I got . Not alot of places on the lake

We had a wonderful seat to see the lake on the porch! The service was a little slow, got water quickly, but waited awhile to get drink order and then to order our food. Enjoyed the cod tacos and the mango margarita was very good and spicy! My husband enjoyed his burger and fries and beer. We will definitely return .

Food, drinks and service were great. I love all the variety of mocktails they have, that was extra for me. Place is beautiful with a nice view.

Went in March and took advantage of an easy window seat reservation. The ambiance was very inviting and the view of the lake was gorgeous. We had the cauliflower appetizer and French onion burger which was really good! The service was quick and overall experience definitely will have me coming back again. Definitely recommend!

The salmon was dry, cheese with prosciutto sandwich was like cardboard. Service was slow. Very disappointing.

Great to see this good place reopened to regular diners and not just catered events. Outstanding view of the lake and very good service. Food is good but not great.

Go to spot for girls lunch! Beautiful view and great friend. Service is so good. Ryan is sneaks do cordial. Great lunch special menu for soup and salad or sandwich.

we were so pleased with the food especially those addictive nachos. we are all coming back!!! Joshua, our server, was attentive, accommodating and made great food/drink selections highly recommend this restaurant
