Come and Taste For Yourself!
Food& service were great. We went during Friday evening so the ambiance was very much for family
Food was very fresh, tasty and reasonably priced.
It was a little less than average. Slow service and we arrived right before the crowd.
All of the Meze we had were great. The gyro was crisp and juicy. Plus, their tsaziki has mint in it which was delicious.
Lots of gluten-free options. This is go to restaurant before attending shows at Eisenmann Center.
mediterranean food, buffet only in lunch.
Great...wonderful...will definitely make it a regular dining spot
Love this family owned restaurant. For Mediterranean food, it is exceptional. We order Mezza plate. It has everything on it you could possibly want including olives, dolmas (grape leaves), hummus, baba ghanouj, and tabouli. We almost always order this along with chicken kabobs. Chicken is flavorful but not overpowering and moist. Other table mates order lamb chops and the golden chicken. All were tasty. Saffron rice is lightest I have ever had. We have been going to Ali Baba since they were in their first location in Dallas on lower Greenville, more than 20 yrs ago. They are opening another new restaurant at Tollway and Park in Plano next week. Can’t wait to try it.
The saffron chicken was really good and it was called gluten free on their menu but the rice they have had vermicelli in it.... no other rice options on the dinner menu. They did sauté some vegetables for me that were very nice but I wanted rice to complete the gluten free meal.. it’s kinda a big miss on their part.
Best Mediterranean food in the world!
We have been to Ali Baba since they were on lower Greenville (almost yrs). Food is fabulous. Never had a bad meal. My favorite is the chicken kabob (always moist) and mezzo plate. The Roasted half chicken is nice and crispy (moist too) and is excellent as well. Lamb chops are small but very tasty and you get at least 6. Their saffron rice is so light and flavorful, it almost floats away. Don’t Forget the salad.
Great experience and incredible food! This place is great! Highly recommend!
We were visiting from Kansas City, and were more than impressed with the wonderful meal and service! Some of the best middle eastern food we have ever eating, even during our 10 years living in the San Francisco Bay Area! Portions are very large, and we ordered WAY too much food. But it was so good we took all the left overs, purchased a cooler and ice, and drove it all the way back to KC! Thank you SOO much for the amazing food!
The saffron chicken is amazing! Love coming here just for that.
Enjoyed everything. The lamb chops were delicious and the saffron chicken was perfect.
Outstanding, as usual, never disappointed when I dine here. Really authentic food. Friendly, prompt service.
Great food; good price; wonderful waitress. Very enjoyable experience.
Great service and great meal... best Med food around!
Food is pretty good but the atmosphere or lack of makes the dining experience less then
I've been to Ali Baba twice before this evening. I always had the buffet which I highly recommend. This time was dinner and while my dish was tasty it was too salty. My meat of my friend's kabab was also salty. The pita was warm and, as always, delicious. Our service was wonderful.
Delicious food and friendly service. Great gluten free menu!
Was a bit disappointed tonight , love this restaurant and the food, but it just wasn't up to par this night. The waitress was a bit pushy and reached across me a few times to pick up a plate. Finally I had to tell her that I would let her know when I was ready to have my plate picked up. They seemed very rushed when there was hardly any people in there. Not sure if I will return for a while.
This is best Mediterranean restaurant in the Dallas area. We originally went to first location on lower Greenville many years ago. This location is very nice (much larger). We love their Mezze Plate, Greek salad, Chicken Kabobs, Golden Chicken, Rack of Lamb. Very reasonably priced. They have a bar, plus during the week buffet which seems like it is everything on menu. Honestly, I avoid lunch as too much food! You must try it.
Good food, good value, good choice in middle eastern cuisine. We were there for dinner, but we know there is a great lunch buffet available. Definitely worth a try.
Was closed. Early for 4th. We love the restaurant, but your site should notify if closing early.
The food was excellent and worth returning in the near future. The noise level was very low that helped to have a very intimate conversation between my wife and I. This is our second time, we have been at Ali Baba and hope to return quite often. The first time was during a business meal just 6 weeks ago.
My husband and I took our 7 kids ages 10 months to 16 years and every one of us left full and happy. Best hummus in town and very family friendly.
We really enjoyed the fresh delicious food at Ali Baba.Highly recommend the fried Calimari and the Kababs.Very nice wait staff.Quiet in the evenings but the lunch buffet is always packed.
Have eaten at Ali Babba for years and it never disappoints! It is always fresh and just an outstanding dining experience. One of my favorite spots in Dallas. Lunch is a buffet and is awesome as you can sample some of the foods you might not try otherwise. Excellent meal every time and service is always great.
Service was good. Mezze sampler very tasty and the pita was hot. Our entrees were a gyro plate and baked kibble. Portions were quite large and each were accompanied by a large serving of rice and tzaziki. Baklava was sweet with a hint of lemon. My preference would have been for it to have been made with pistachios instead of walnuts but they offer 2 pieces with pistachio ice cream (we opted to just share one piece).
It appears they offer a buffet at lunch and will definitely be back to try it next time I'm in the area.
The food + service was above average for the price. Very clean restaurant. Don't be deceived by the outside appearance...we enjoyed it and look forward to returning.
Terrific Mediterranean food. A reliable, reasonable restaurant in the Dallas scene for many years as it was located in "lower Greenville" for many years. And over those years, many of us would line up before they opened to get in for those few tables and some of the best Chicken Kabobs in the city served with vegetables and a wonderful rice. My wife loves their roasted trout and has it almost every time. We suggest their hummus as a starter with a plate of raw vegetables - tomatoes, cucumber, pickles, onions along with the fresh Pita. Go, you will enjoy.
It was okay. Just not what we were looking for. Thought their lamb muskaka would have been better. Anyway not bad over all.
