Alhambra Palace Restaurant
We were the only ones there on a Thursday night at 7:30. Food was great but bizarre to be in an empty restaurant.
The food was so delicious and the place is beautiful. Try the salmon.
This restaurant is best on the weekends because of the show. Great food and very fun entertainment. The details on the architecture of the restaurant is mesmerizing. Perfect place for a date night.
Todo excelente y el lugar hermoso
Food was very tasty! Drinks were strong! I only wish we could have stayed to watch the shows, but already had another show planned after so had early reservations. Attentive server and very pretty inside interior. Will be back
This was my second time being here and it definitely was the best. Being early for Sunday brunch has its perks. We had a party of 4 share our grandmother's birthday and she had a blast. The area was wheelchair accessible (was requested upon reservation) which made moving around so much easier. The waitress and waiter were very attentive to our needs and made our grandmother's experience one she will never forget.
The place is beautiful, the food delicious, the servers were wonderful. The only thing I'd recommend would be posting to social media when events are cancelled at the last minute. We went for karaoke night and it had been cancelled even though it had been advertised on Instagram. Also, making sure the bathrooms are cleaned and well stocked is a must in a place this gorgeous. The unclean toilet and lack of tissue was a bit surprising considering the night was slow.
Loved the food and entertainment. Who doesn't like to watch beautiful women belly dance! It was definitely a great place to take wife on our anniversary. The only negative thing about the experience was that we had to wait way to long for our check when we were ready to leave.
It is a nice place to eat tasty food and enjoy meddle eastern entertainment
The food was phenomenal - very authentic and true to the culture. The entertainment was also very lively. Our server would come and then go for about an hour or two and it would be a mission finding her. It is a bit on the pricier side and one annoying thing was gratuity was added to our check automatically for a party of 2 when their policy says it's added for a party of 4. They automatically added 18% which sucks for the server because we always tip 20% and cash. So, their loss.
Wonderful service and great entertainment .
We were there for my wife’s bday and she enjoyed every minute we were there.
The ambiance and service were superb we will be back!!!
This place is WONDERFUL!! I had paella and it was excellent! The decor and ambiance are outstanding! Our waitress was very attentive and helpful! Love this restaurant! Will definitely return!
The place isn’t as good as it used to be. Food was mediocre and the entertainment was ok, but overall just too boring. It was also quite empty so the atmosphere was missing.
...and salsa dancing!
Fun night . Would go again . The server was polite but hovered over the table continuously asking if we wanted to order more food.
While the food was good, closing the bill was an odd and poor experience. They advertise gratuity is only added for parties for 4 or more. We had 3 people and the server automatically added 20% gratuity and said we could add more if we wanted, but we needed to do it before she ran the credit card because she couldn’t add tip later. While we would’ve given 20%, this is super shady and opposite of what’s advertised. When we provided 2 credit cards, she asked what card the tip should go on vs splitting. Furthermore, she ran my friends credit card as a debit and requested my friend to walk to the register to enter the PIN. What type of archaic systems don’t allow tip after the fact and what restaurant lies about their gratuity policy? This really soured our experience of what would’ve been a nice meal.
This was my second time there and the experience was pleasant. The ambiance was beautiful and the waiter was very nice. I look forward to coming again on an event night!
The food was not well prepared, steak not seasoned or cooked as requested ( over cooked), hummus was very sour, pita was burnt, salmon tartar was spoiled ( very musky and gamey). Spend over 100.00 and over 75% of the meal was not consumable.
Grand palace like interiors with great belly dance shows and other performances. They even made it a dance floor for half an hour. Good entertainment.
Service was however terrible. We booked a table for 3 on open table in advance yet we waited for almost 45 minutes standing at the back of the hall. No one even bothered to come and ask for half an hour. Finally when we got the seat, they put our table in a corner where we cudnt even see the stage. It was utmost pathetic service
Food was decent. The decor and service was great! Would go back again
The food was just ok. It needs to match the decor. KTSE
Best lamb chops ever. Veggies were delicious. Entire meal was delightful. We also try the beef dish with the couscous. Both were so delicious that there wasn't a speck left. Desert was an added treat. Wine list has a lot of nice options. Cannot wait to return.
The only problem was the room temperature was hot inside but overall was great will be back
THIS WAS AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE FOR MY FAMILY AND I. WE VISITED THEIR ESTABLISHMENT ON MOTHER'S DAY ALONG WITH ANOTHER FAMILY TOTALING ROUGHLY ABOUT 40 PPL AND WE REALLY ENJOYED THE SHOW AND THE FOOD WAS OKAY. IT WAS ACTION PACKED, FAMILY FRIENDLY AND TE PERFORMERS WERE VERY VERY ENERGETIC, EVEN THE CHILDREN ENJOYED THEMSELVES. GREAT JOB ALHAMBRA!
We love the food, but the entertainment is AMAZING & that’s our main reason for always going back!!
Amazing service, beautiful ambiance and environment. I can’t wait to go back!
Not worth going other than weekends. It was dead on Sunday and private event going on in main area. Food was not impressive. Had better food at food trucks.
Great ambiance and program. I love the interior decoration. Great place to have fun and belly dancing. There was also Latin music today.,we had a great server. She was pleasant. Will come again
Great service orchestrated by their skilled GM and maestro , Nahmoun!
Cool place that I had never heard about. Entree was very average; lentil soup, falafel and salmon tartar from the appetizer section were awesome.
Saturday evening is a fun time to be there as there are dance performances/music shows happening. They start at 8.30 and go on for about 2.5-3 hours.
We enjoyed are first experience, slightly disappointed with the food and wine options but overall it was good. The events made up for it.
Definitely recommend people to try the restaurant at least once.
Our waitress didn’t know the menu and it would also take her about 30 mins every time we ordered a round of beers. Gratuity was also forced at 20% for parties of 4 or more. The entertainment didn’t start at 8pm as advertised and around 9:30-10pm the turned the dance floor into a night club with blasting music. We will not return.
Very fun place but very loud!! Unable to have a conversation when someone is on microphone or music playing.
Alhambra Palace is a beautiful restaurant with great ambiance and vibe. Service is average at best, the food (especially the lamb) tastes a little bit too gamey for me. Not really seasoned great either. Drinks for overpriced and didn't exactly taste that great either. Wouldnt go back.
May be willing to try it again. When i made birthday dinner reservations i should have been told it was a fundraiser happening on the night of my reservations and my spouse was set on trying the food after graveling over the menu. We stayed but atmosphere wasn't pleasant it felt as if we were eating in a xloset only time we seen other guest was when they were going to use restroom which happened to be in the area we were in.
Its a nice place and restaurant if you never been before but little too loud if you want to have conversation. Way too loud the music, otherwise the show is same as few years back but like i said if you never been its good to see it.
Amira the waitress was friendly and welcoming. As well as the overall atmosphere. Very beautiful place with great food. A very comfortable place to be.
I would rethink going here ever for lunch.. place was empty and service was slow
Well, the food was not what I was expecting being I had heard about it from so many people. The pita bread was store bought & not made there. The food did not seem authentic. I am used to more authentic food from Detroit I suppose. I think the restaurant is more about the experience on a Saturday night.
Food quality has fallen dramatically, service not what it used to be, and was far too loud to even speak to the person next to me.
Alhambra is my favourite spot to spend a good Saturday night, the food is good (not the best in Chicago but very decent), the Music, the show, the friendliness of the staff and everyone coming to spend a good time is worth giving it a try.
I am a faithful customer and will come back to spend a good night dancing and having fun with friends, releasing stress, celebrating a birthday or just breaking up the routine.
