Our waitress Brandy made our dining experience very memorable - she was knowledgeable about the wine list and offered us samples and made great dinner recommendations. Our food came out course by course and was timed perfectly. The empanada appetizer was good but I expected more sauces to accompany the four different varieties - our favorite was the spinach and cheese! Can we get 4 of those next time?? We each had a salad - I had the poached pear and fig salad which was wonderful. The salad dressing was a honey vinaigrette that was especially interesting! My date had the grilled caesar and really enjoyed it as well. I had the pistachio crusted salmon meal and it was also wonderful - the salmon was flavorful and I loved that there were SO many pistachios! The butternut squash mash and green beans were ok... the green beans were pretty bland. My date enjoyed the surf and turf special of the night - steak and lobster tail accompanied by mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The steak and mashed potatoes hit the spot! He didn't eat much of the asparagus - pretty tough and large stalks. Unfortunately, we didn't save room for dessert but we noticed a few at other tables that looked delicious! Alfio's was a very nice special occasion dining experience and we hope to go back again!!

Alfio’s food is absolutely perfect. The empanadas are a MUST. The braised short rib with gnocchi is also unbelievable. Go eat here to truly treat your tastebuds! Super friendly staff as well

The food was delicious, however the cocktails (Manhattan and martini) were weak and flavorless, even after sending one back. Wouldn’t order anything other than beer or wine from the bar.

We had a reservation at 8:00 and when we arrived our table wasn’t ready. We sat and waited 15 minutes. Apparently, we had been assigned a table that was still occupied and couldn’t possibly be seated anywhere else, even though the entire back half of the restaurant was empty. The situation and the host were awkward.
We ordered the mussels which were nice and big although 3 were unopened. A seafood no-no. The broth they were in was visually beautiful but so salty it was inedible with bread. We ordered the fried goat cheese, beet and arugula salad. Fryer oil needed to be changed as the huge chunks of goat cheese had that rancid oil taste. Salad was a good idea but bad oil and way too much salt made it a disappointment. We also ordered the ribeye, which came with lackluster and watery butternut squash/mashed potatoes and unseasoned Brussels. Cioppiono was, again, over salted and so fiery hot that none of the ingredients could be tasted. Lastly, we ordered the shrimp and scallops pasta. The quality of the seafood was good but the salt was overpowering. Waitress was cute and perky but used plates and silverware remained on the table throughout the meal. With a glass of wine and two cocktails the $125.00 price tag did not meet the expectation nor was the meal and service worth the price. We won’t be back

This is my second time at this restaurant. Overall the food was delicious, server was pleasant and helpful but the noise was intolerable. We arrived early, 6:30 assuming it would be busy by 7:30 but by 7:15 we could not hear over the din of other diners and they were just having normal levels of conversation. Unfortunately I would have to say I will think twice about returning, one should be able to have a conversation without constantly saying "what" and raising your own voice to be heard.
