Alexanders steakhouse in Cupertino told me they did not have my reservation because they stopped working with open table 6 months ago, so do not book on open table if you want a reservation at this restaurant.

I tried to cancel this reservation many times and had to call the restaurant only to find out that they no longer were

Great service and food presentation! I went there with my friend to celebrate our birthday. The waiter was fantastic. The food was delicious and the dessert is to die for! Fantastic restaurant. Highly recommend this for a nice dinner with someone or corporate event for the VIP's.

I t was our first time in the new location and the dining room does not feel as nice as the last one. We were seated at a table right next to a waiter's station where we had full view of their computer screen and other equipment...not what you expect from a Michelin star restaurant.
One of our guests arrived early and waited for 10 minutes in the bar before anyone asked her if she would like to order a drink.
Our server was wonderful. Steaks/prime rib and Hamachi shots are still fantastic.

Everything was great, except the chef mixed up the way we wanted our steak. I didn't notice until I got to the middle of my steak (I asked for Medium and it was medium rare in the middle). But by then, I was already full. I just advised our waitress to make sure the chef is reading the order correctly. But my BFs steak was super well done when he asked for medium rare, not sure how he was able to eat it. But since the chef mixed it up his should have been medium not medium well/well done!

Its a steak restaurant so they should at least know how to cook the meat, even if the meat was a thicker cut!

The manager said he put a note to make sure the how the food is order is cooked the right waya, on my reservation for next, but not sure if thats true.

But the waitress and manager were both really nice and the side dishes we ordered were amazing. We still made the best of it.

Overpriced. Poorly executed. First - Both our drinks at the bar were served incorrectly. The original Alexander's had much better ambiance with the fireplace and the sofas. This was very techno feeling. Great for s business lunch on someone else's expense account. For a date, yuck ! Steaks were supposed to be black and blue. No char on the outside. Mashed potatoes mediocre. Dessert mediocre. No reason to go back !

We arrived about 1/2 hour before our reservation, we sat at the bar for 10-15 minutes before the area was cleaned or we were asked if we wanted anything. My steak (split bone in ribeye) was under cooked and had little to no flavor, my wife's (F-1 Short rib) meal was good . The sides, appetizers and sides were very good, however the desert menu was small and and was underwhelming. We decided to not have dessert, although the free sour apple cotton candy was interesting. We will not be going back, for $350.00 we would rather go to Morton's in downtown San Jose.
