We went for an anniversary celebration. Each of us started with a glass of wine and he the wedge salad, me the baked feta. He doesn't like garlic (or rather garlic doesn't like him) so the waitress graciously brought him plain bread, and me the scrumptious house made garlic bread. For entree, he had the spinach lasagna, and I had my favorite, the White Room pizza. His plate was clean, and as usual, I had a good deal of pizza left. This pizza is incredible. The mixture of flavors - wow. Never, ever disappoints, which is why I always end up ordering it. We were (thank you) seated near the window in a table that was semi-private, vs the ones along the long booth, where you're just a few inches from the table next to you. The evening was made even more special by being placed in Kelly's section. She was fantastic, sweet, attentive, pleasant, exuded happiness while working. We will certainly ask for her next time we visit Alexander's. I'd be remiss in not mentioning the rest of the staff there. Everyone works as a team, and that way the diner never feels neglected. Great evening, as usual.
Enjoyed our Saturday night meal. Was a little cold at the beginning but after it filled up, was more comfortable outside. Service was great, food was really good and atmosphere was fun too.
The food was amazing! My friend and I shared a jalapeno and sausage pizza and the risotto with scallops--both dishes were GREAT! I'll definitely go back and SOON!
Love this place. Great decor and food. Perfect for dates as well as groups.
We loved it! My 1st time there and now I have a new go to spot. Loved the pizza and Scallops & Shrimp pasta. Along with 2 desserts; one we ate there & took the other home.
5 Stars ⭐️
Justin our server was wonderful and patient. Food was very good. Overall a good experience and would recommend.
Really, really, really good food. I had the cheese filled tortellini with shrimp and scallops. Phenomenal. The roasted beet salad. Amazing. And the cheese, fig jam, and bread appetizer. On point. I will definitely return here again.
All was good but it took awhile for the food
The evening was excellent in almost every way. The menu provided a wide variety of offerings, which was then enhanced by two specials of the day. The restaurant was very busy on on Monday evening, but staffing levels seemed to be able to meet the needs of the diners. Our meal came rather quickly, all arrived at the same time and all were good and hot. Very pleased with the entire experience.
For making the reservations the same day, the accommodations were perfect. Understanding that other people had made the reservations days before and we still got in in a timely manner was worth the wait. The hostess went above and beyond to make our dining experience worth coming back. My partner had been there once and this was my first time and I was elated by the atmosphere and the service. We got two glasses of wine for free and Tiramisu for defending the hostess while a rowdy customer was trying to be seated with her child.
Waited 35 minutes to get seated even though we had a reservation. This is unacceptable.
Had a reservation at 8:00. After 45 minutes of not being seated we left.
We met friends here for a Saturday night dinner. We had reservations and we were seated immediately. The positive points to the restaurant was a friendly waitress and fairly good food.
On the negative side, the noise level was huge and we had very aggressive bus boys who hovered practically over the table and wanted to take your plates as soon as you had your
last bite (in one case they actually grabbed a plate before my spouse was finished!). I am guessing it was because of the crowd that had formed out the door and they wanted us to
give up our table as soon as possible. So for those reasons, I cannot recommend this place for a relaxing meal out with family and/or friends.
After a bad experience I took the time to email the manager directly. I did not want to write a negative review. It’s been 3 days and I have not received any message back. I do not believe that they care about their bad service.
We always come here for special occasions or when friends are in town. I love the food and love the ambiance. Great staff as well, many of them have been there for years. I highly recommend Alexander's for great Authentic Italian food and great pasta.
Always an experience eating here. Hasn’t let me down!
We have gone to Alexander's before and have never been disappointed. It was a very cold night and we were hoping to get a table inside, which we requested when we walked in and were immediately given.
We love the ambiance of the place, it is very pretty and romantic and the food is rich and flavorful.
Arrived on time and we were seated promptly. Our server, Kelly, was nice. She introduced herself and told us to take our time on looking over the menu. When she came back, she told us the specials and we proceeded to order. Food took a while but we weren't in a hurry. I actually appreciated the fact that everyone around us were having actual conversations and not on their phones. It seems like time slowed down at Alexanders. People were really enjoying themselves. As for the food, my wife ordered the Tuscan Seafood pasta. It was delicious. I could taste the sea with every bite that she shared with me. As for me, I love pizza, so I ordered the ? I actually forgot the name! It was ok, nothing to rave about but for me, the best part was the whole cloves of garlic that was on top of the pizza. It was different, but really stood out. Would love to come back here again and try a different kind of pasta!
Still our favorite and go to and beat Italian restaurant and staff in town
Generally a great little date spot. Parking is a hassle but food and service have been 8/10 the last couple visits. My recent visit was a 5/10 so I hope this out of the normal experience is simply that, a one off.
The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was yummy, but for the price I was expecting it to be amazing. And to me, it was good but not great. Also, I planned it for a romantic and fancy date for my fiancé and me and it was so extremely loud. We were sitting next to this table of drunk women who were yelling. It was a pretty place and I would go back and I would recommend it.
Wow, amazing meal! Delicious ziti with vodka sauce. Creamy, a hint of spice and sausage. Every mouthful was incredible. I sang through the whole meal, uhm, uhm, uhm! Table bread big wow. Thank you CLAIRESSE and Christian for making our evening so wonderful!
we were in on a Monday night and it was very busy. We had a reservation and had a short wait but got our favorite table in the corner of the front room.
Was disappointed that neither the hostess or our server didn't inform us of the $1 beer/$6 pizza special that night until we inquired about why so many people were ordering beer directly from the bar. We may have changed our order. Other than that, as good as it always is.
Arrived 7 minutes late for our reservation due to problems parking. Saw immediately that they were way overbooked. Had to wait 30 minutes for our table and then was placed at a table for 2 for a party of 3. Waiter had to say that this table was way too small and moved us....expected to maybe be "comped" a drink or something for the initial hassles but no.
Service very good, food ok, chairs - very cheap and not up to par with rest of restaurant.
I love Alexander's and have been many times. This time the service left much to be desired. It took our server 20 minutes to greet our table. We had to ask for things twice and she didn't check in on us during the meal.
Lovely place. Seafood risotto was outstanding. Chicken pesto had a bit much pesto. Sausage pasta also very good. Gets very crowded so be sure to make a reservation.
My seven year old son and I went there for a mother-son date. We dressed up so it was fun to eat at a fancy restaurant with white tablecloths. The staff was very friendly, though this place is definitely more designed for a date/adults than family dining. The garlic bread was extremely delicious! The mussels were pretty good, though my son filled up on garlic bread. He was able to order a pepperoni pizza, which he appreciated. I had the walnut gorgonzola pasta that had disappointingly had more tomatoes than walnuts. It was still pretty yummy though not super memorable. Still, we had a lot of fun, and it was quiet enough to be able to hear each other.
The food is really good, but what makes the experience even better is that the service is superb. They are extremely nice and attentive, which makes me wanna come back all the time.
Sat outside. Lovely!
As always, great service, great food.
great food, great service! a very special day for all of us :)
If you're looking for a romantic dinner this is your place!
Overrated, overpriced and straight up wrong. Food wasn’t impressing (lukewarm), tiramisu taste like cardboard; when we asked the waiter about the wine selection he had no idea. They crammed in so many tables it was uncomfortable to have a conversation. The jersey rigged white wall had massive spiders and when we brought this up with the waiter his words were “omg, I’m glad you guys moved because I would of freacked out” and left the spider on the wall. Definitely not the Valentine’s Day dinner we hopped for. Felt robbed after paying $230 for what reminded me of bad wedding food. Not sure that I would return on a regular business day.
It was a fun valentines dinner
Me and my wife had our first date here in 2012 and it was just as memrobale to ight as it was then. Great service, great place, great people. We will definitely be back!!
Alexander’s is a wonderful place to enjoy
We had a fabulous evening and were cared for in such a loving way
The food was fantastic
We enjoyed our dinner, the food was very good. One corrective criticism please turn up the lights, its very difficult to read the menu in the low light level. Several diners were using the bright light on their phones and it became distracting to others. I do understand that you are trying to create ambiance for your diners.
