Alexander's on 30th Ratings and Reviews
Our server Justin started out very attentive. He took our drink order and appetizer order. The appetizer came out before he took our food order. We were l finished with our appetizer before he took the food order.
When the food was finally delivered my wine and water glasses sat empty for a good 10 minutes before Justin realized it. I would have loved another glass of red wine with my pasta dish. But at that point I was over it.
Dinner for three people and 4 glasses of wine was $132. It's hard to want to tip 20% when the service deteriorates throughout the dinner service. I paid with cash and he didn't break the $20 bills I left as a tip when he brought change.
I have always been a fan of the ambiance and food at Alexanders, but the service that night was truly disappointing.
Reserved a table for 3 for 7:30 pm but didnt get table ready till 8:15... The place is nice , food is great, service is a thumbs up and the price is affordable..
Just had a hard time slicing my steak while my plate is moving.. the glass table top doesnt seem to go well w/ the plate.. sliperry
Food was not as good as usual. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was scolding hot and bland. My husbands fish special was cold My moms fish pasta was good as were the shrimp appetizers. We spent 200.00 for three people. Hope this was a one time thing as we love this place
Good food, service was weird, server was not very personable but maybe that's because she included a 20% gratuity onto our bill she knew she was getting. The bus boy was extremely nice and was checking up on us instead of her. Everyone's food was very tasty but I told myself next time I would ask to change my gratuity to 18% or 15% if the server was like that again.
Not sure there is a place cuter. Fellas, if you're trying to get in the good graces of your significant other OR are trying to turn her into your significant other, then this is a great choice to treat her! She will love the all white ambience, lights, and the food is great too!
Ordered the 38 Special pizza and pink penne pasta. The pasta was delicious and did not disappoint, however the pizza took too long to come out , we were done with the pasta by the time it came and to top it off it was burnt. The waiter was courteous enough to correct the mistake and bring us an other pizza. We were two slices into the new pizza when the bus boy asked if we needed a box, we said no and kept talking when 5 minutes after he asked us again if we were all done. They did not seem busy however it felt like they were rushing us to wrap it up. At the end our waiter was courteous enough to not charge us for the pizza which partially made up for the annoyance of feeling rushed.
I was disappointed this time around. I made a reservation a week in advance, but I still could not get a booth, so we had a very small table that did not include the ambience that I intended to be a part of. When I asked the waitress if she could recommend a wine, I could tell she was annoyed that I asked her for a recommendation. The food just did not taste good. The dessert menu no longer carries desserts from Extordinary Desserts. I would not go back. Overall, it was a bad experience and it was my birthday outing, so I was disappointed.
Food was good and service was good. Good decor and ambience, the restaurant has a good romantic feel to it. The waiter was very helpful and good natured. Service was fast, but almost too fast because we weren't done with our appetizer when the pizza already came. Overall great experience.
The food is amazing. I had the sausage rigatoni vodka sauce and we started with the brie and garlic appetizer which comes with giant garlic bread, that was super yummy! Sat by the window with a view onto 30th. Great for people watching. Will definitely be back.
We were a party of 6 and we had a great meal and great service.Rex our waiter was attentive and we were a pretty rowdy group. The bread(amazing) appetizers and all our entries were enjoyed by all of us. We had been here 3-4 times but the other 2 couples had not... they loved it. We were seated indoors this time but I love the patio area with the movies playing and water features.Again, great food, our server Rex was awesome and great ambiance for a winning night
My husband and I went to Alexander’s for our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was Monday and they have a Monday night pizza special in the outdoor dining area. My husband requested that they play Alice in wonderland as their featured outdoor dining movie and they did. Our server was great. The atmosphere was great. And the prices are very reasonable on Monday nights.
Alexanders was a great experience, the service was awesome. We had a large party, we were seated right away even though everyone wasn't there yet. We started with appetizers and had the bruschetta with barrata cheese and prosciutto, very good, then we had a charcuterie board also very good. The lasagna was delicious, I tried the walnut Gorgonzola pasta, it was super delicious, I will order that next time. Our overall experience was great and I recommend this restaurant.
It was an awesome experience especially for it being our first time there. Our server, Matt was very attentive and ensured that our meal was taken out in a timely manner. He always checked up on us and made sure our glasses of water were never close to empty. Our dishes were delicious! I had the lobster ravioli and my husband had the meat lasagna. Both exceptional dishes and came out piping hot. Definitely will be coming back again!!
