Wow, amazing meal! Delicious ziti with vodka sauce. Creamy, a hint of spice and sausage. Every mouthful was incredible. I sang through the whole meal, uhm, uhm, uhm! Table bread big wow. Thank you CLAIRESSE and Christian for making our evening so wonderful!
we were in on a Monday night and it was very busy. We had a reservation and had a short wait but got our favorite table in the corner of the front room.
Was disappointed that neither the hostess or our server didn't inform us of the $1 beer/$6 pizza special that night until we inquired about why so many people were ordering beer directly from the bar. We may have changed our order. Other than that, as good as it always is.
Arrived 7 minutes late for our reservation due to problems parking. Saw immediately that they were way overbooked. Had to wait 30 minutes for our table and then was placed at a table for 2 for a party of 3. Waiter had to say that this table was way too small and moved us....expected to maybe be "comped" a drink or something for the initial hassles but no.
Service very good, food ok, chairs - very cheap and not up to par with rest of restaurant.
I love Alexander's and have been many times. This time the service left much to be desired. It took our server 20 minutes to greet our table. We had to ask for things twice and she didn't check in on us during the meal.
Lovely place. Seafood risotto was outstanding. Chicken pesto had a bit much pesto. Sausage pasta also very good. Gets very crowded so be sure to make a reservation.
My seven year old son and I went there for a mother-son date. We dressed up so it was fun to eat at a fancy restaurant with white tablecloths. The staff was very friendly, though this place is definitely more designed for a date/adults than family dining. The garlic bread was extremely delicious! The mussels were pretty good, though my son filled up on garlic bread. He was able to order a pepperoni pizza, which he appreciated. I had the walnut gorgonzola pasta that had disappointingly had more tomatoes than walnuts. It was still pretty yummy though not super memorable. Still, we had a lot of fun, and it was quiet enough to be able to hear each other.
The food is really good, but what makes the experience even better is that the service is superb. They are extremely nice and attentive, which makes me wanna come back all the time.
Sat outside. Lovely!
As always, great service, great food.
great food, great service! a very special day for all of us :)
If you're looking for a romantic dinner this is your place!
Overrated, overpriced and straight up wrong. Food wasn’t impressing (lukewarm), tiramisu taste like cardboard; when we asked the waiter about the wine selection he had no idea. They crammed in so many tables it was uncomfortable to have a conversation. The jersey rigged white wall had massive spiders and when we brought this up with the waiter his words were “omg, I’m glad you guys moved because I would of freacked out” and left the spider on the wall. Definitely not the Valentine’s Day dinner we hopped for. Felt robbed after paying $230 for what reminded me of bad wedding food. Not sure that I would return on a regular business day.
It was a fun valentines dinner
Me and my wife had our first date here in 2012 and it was just as memrobale to ight as it was then. Great service, great place, great people. We will definitely be back!!
