Alexander's Ratings and Reviews
We went here with 2 couples who were visiting from out of town. The meal was delcious. Two of the men couldn't stop raving about the homemade fruit pie. A very nice part of the evening is that is was quiet enough that we could really talk to one another and enjoy ourselves. The atmosphere is lovely and definitely worth a return visit.
It was a chilly night, so we passed on dining on the lovely patio, and ate indoors instead. All in our group loved their dinners, which was served by Ari, who was friendly and professional. My Caesar salad was very good, and the cioppino was perfect.
Alexander’s is a little difficult to find -it doesn’t front on the highway, so you need to look carefully. But it’s a lovely setting and it’s definitely worth the effort.
Beautiful atmosphere and very accommodating. My only complaint is that I wish there were better gluten free dessert options. Every restaurant has flourless chocolate cake, creme brûlée or sorbet . It would be nice if there was an effort to offer more options.
First time here and was very satisfied. Excellent service. Easy parking. Out door seating with gas heater this evening. We ate inside. Somewhat of a small menu but the food was well prepared and we both enjoyed our meal. I am pretty much critical of restaurants but I would go back to this one. 3 1/2 stars.
We have been going to Alexanders for nearly 20 years now and have always had a wonderful meal. However this time there were 4 of us and my husband had the steak salad...He said the steak was over cooked and the salad just so...the worse meal he has ever had there and we were disappointed.
We will go again but this last time we were quite disappointed. Hopefully next time our experience and food will be back on par.
The food at this restaurant is excellent. The macadamia encrusted grouper is the best. The problem is they miss the little things.
1. When the food is brought to the table they should not be asking who ordered what– this is not Joe’s diner
2. Some of the staff were inappropriately dressed for a better class restaurant
3. You should not have to ask the waiter for a dessert menu and ask to order coffee.
We had the impression that they wanted to go home. I forgot this is Naples and it was after 9 pm.
The management should spend some time at a chain restaurant to see how guests are properly served . I rarely go to a chain other than the Waffle House because of the food however they do know how to provide service.
Ted and I celebrated our 19th anniversary with friends there and we had a wonderful time! We are whole food plant based and the vegan options were delicious 😋 Everyone raved over their meals! Audrey was very attentive and took care of us well. A great time was had by all 😊
Poor service i n general, unsmiling wait staff, two first course plates served 5 minutes before second two (had to ask). This was on a cold night when the outdoor dining area was virtually empty so they were not real busy. Food was just ok. The two late arriving soups were just luke warm.
Friendly hostess was the one bright spot.
Alexanders has proved itself to be a restaurant you can count on for a delicious meal every time you go. The chef had several delicious specials for the cool night. The homemade Pappardelle pasta with venison ragout was delicate but warm and filling. My husband ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection with a square of a potato gratin that was so creamy and cheesy. As always the wait staff was friendly and prompt. Even though it was chilly outside, there were dinners enjoying the patio with their romantic heaters flaming and twinkly light shining.
We had New Years Dinner here and it was wonderful. In addition to regular menu there was also New Year specials. We had lovely table outside and it was very picturesque and wonderful ambiance. Food as always is well prepared and delicious. Dinners we had were: lamb shank, cioppino, snapper special , grouper. Enjoyed that prices was NOT marked up for New Years, but were the normal prices. It was a lovely way to end 2017. We will be back with other friends in January. We also find Alexanders to be a good and enjoyable place to go.
We were a party of 4 for New Years eve. Easy to make reservation on line.
We were seated right away. It was a good night to sit outdoors.
Food was good but very salty. They did not have gluten free bread.
We allowed extra time in case service was slow for the evening. We skipped dessert to save time.
What an over-rated joint! Would never go back. Expensive below average food. The unfortunate aspect of many resort area restaurants that only have a 6 month window is that they’re able to get away with charging exhorbitant prices for very pedestrian food. Stay away!
The food was ok- seafood pasta wasn't very flavorful. Steak was ok. The setting was very unique for Naples. Sitting outside with the beautiful lighting was memorable. We were a party of 8 and the service was sub-par. My entree was wrong, by husband had to correct the waiter on his order, and my mother-in-law's steak was cool and her truffle fries arrived 10 minutes after the entree, after we asked for them. It really appeared that the wait staff as a whole didn't care. For a $500 dinner I expect more.
Outside Ambiance was very good, inside nothing special. Restaurant knew we were celebrating 40th wedding anniversary yet never offered us opportunity to be seated outside (even though space appeared available). Put us toward the back-center inside. Food was mediocre - salad appeared like it came out of a grocery store bag, spinach still had stems remaining on most leaves. Fish was not that great - Mr. Big Fish locally has same fish dish far superior in taste. Overall not that great despite the high ratings shown on your website. Would not return.
