Alex Madonna’s Gold Rush Steak House, at Madonna Inn
Other than it being prom night or something it was absolutely lovely. One loud teenager ( I assume).
The ambience is super cool very pink flower and cherub is everywhere!! Such a fun place !
Loved everything food was superb
Good food, fun atmosphere and unique experience. Would come again.
It was decadent and beautiful
Dinner was delicious and relaxing. The service was on point. Our waitress, Jamie was super helpful and kind.
I ordered the bbq chicken, and it was ok. The service and he ambiance is what made it worth it.
Well, we requested that it was a birthday , but no one ever came over to address it. I’ve been here many times and this time I wasn’t really impressed overall. Maybe just an off day for a Monday.
Lovely place. Almost like a fairytale. Very serviceminded waitress. We loved it.
I was so happy we get to celebrate our anniversary at MadonnaInn Restaurant. The place is beautiful, excellent service and delicious food. The complimentary balloon and cake is a plus. I really had a great time. Would love to come back and highly recommended.
Fantastic Dinner. Abalone was outstanding!!! Steaks cooked perfectly.
I LOVE going to Madonna for their brunch.....Easter and Mother’s Day. Food was excellent, service was great BUT, they ran out of crab legs!! I assume that is one reason the price is higher than Easter brunch. For as organized as they are they should have allocated putting out a certain amount of crab legs per hour. A suggestion may be to have someone stand at the crab leg table and serve each customer rather than allowing them to serve themselves, as I understand some people had their plates piled high. This way they could come back for more but not take so many that others had none. Just a thought, kinda like the Prime Rib station. Other than this snafu, which WAS a big deal to many, everything was spot on as usual.
Service was pretty terrible! Our waiter seemed bothered & annoyed that he had a job to do. We had to keep asking for refills. Also we had to keep motioning to clear the used plates. I’m hoping he was just having an off day & he really isn’t that horrible of a waiter. Also the seating was a little to claustrophobia status this time around. We requested a table for 6 Not 16, we were less than 12 inches from the person sitting next to us. Overall it was a pretty terrible experience especially when you consider what it cost.
When my mom said she wanted to go to Madonna Inn for brunch the highlight was that the fb ad said they would have crab and lobster. When we got there at 12 there was no lobster and the crab legs were frozen and smelled fishy. The prime rib was the best I have ever had I my life though and the baked Bri and smoked salmon was the savior of the meal. The home made strawberry shortcake was magnificent although I tried looking for the famous pink champagne and black Forrest cake and neither were out as the advertisement listed. I think I will just take my mom back to Seaventure as we have never been disappointed in the past for Mother’s day and just come back to Madonna for the prime rib.
The amazing decor, ambiance and outstanding customer service made for the best Mother’s Day brunch ever! Happy mama.
Seated thirty minutes past reservation time. After waiter sat us, took initial drink order, dropped off ordered drinks, we never saw him again until we were asked to pay. We had to grab a pitcher of water from the wait station to refill our drinks. We flagged down other wait staff to clear our plates from the table. Only one champagne provided with brunch when other venues provide all you can drink champagne and/or bloody Mary’s with brunch for the same or lower price.
They apparently have changed their Mother's Day Brunch policy to now include only one glass of champagne, rather than the "bottomless" mimosas we have traditionally enjoyed for years - yet the price was still the same. That was an unexpected and disappointing surprise, but I guess it wasn't a huge deal. The food was still quite good, and that was the most important part. The noise level was to the point we could hardly hear each other talk, but I think that was contributed more to it being a busy holiday and the time of day we chose our reservations for. I'd still recommend it!
Go for the ambiance. The food is not the best. I ordered the fried chicken, husband ordered New York steak, mom ordered filet mignon. Not one of us thought the food was good enough for the price.
On the other hand, our service waiter was exceptional and truly made our day. Great decor and a must visit at least once in your life!
Wonderful anniversary dinner.
We have lived here most of our lives and always visited Madonna Inn for desserts only because we thought the food would be overpriced and mediocre in such a touristy venue. In fact, the prices were on par with other steak houses locally but the quality, portion size and grilling were superior. Very pleasant surprised.
Salad was bland but ambiance made up for it. Love this place
And cake is good too!
Gold Rush Steak house was agreat experience as was all od Madonna Inn. Its on of those places that you must go to if you get the chance. The downside was there was just way too much food. But we were treated very well and they know it was our 30th anniversary and placed happy anniversary balloons on our table and gave us a lovely bottle of Madonna Inn sparkling Wine in our hotel room. Would definitely recommend a visit
This is our wedding anniversary trip to the Central Coast special dinner spot. It’s as good as ever. Chilled salad plate and salad fork are appreciated. The Filet Mignon was tender and flavorful with a delicious low key seasoning and wood smoke. Wine and cocktails were spot on. The band in the bar helped extend a good time.
This was out 4 times in 9 months to eat there First 2 times was excellent in every way. 3rd trip lobster was very dissappoinging. Last night April 27, 2019 was abit disappointing. We were a group of 8 and 6 were disappointed with something. My spoon was not clean it had a paper stuck to it. My husband and I had an appetizer / Abalone. 2 extremely small slices one was fantastic the other very rubbery. For $24.00 you would think you could eat them. Prime rib was fabulous as always. Service was very slow. Just was not the fantastic experience we had come to exspect while here.
We will come back as the first 2 trips were perfect and the 3 was good except the lobster.
Everything was perfect! Def made my birthday dinner special 😊
$100 red wine (Cabernet) was served very cold, about 40 degrees as a Chardonnay. Steak was tough, rib eye, tasted like a top block. Wine order was late getting to the table. Cook was good on the steaks.
This was THE WORST experience.
Reservation was 45 minutes late in being seated. I inquired 4 times about our reservation and was told each time it would be 10-15 minutes more. Each time was 15 minutes after I had been told 10-15 minutes more. Tip to the restaurant: Do not lie to your guests. Tell them the true waiting time so your customers do not get angry - at least give them the courtesy of deciding if they wish to endure your inability to schedule your reservations properly. A tip to the management: Empower your employees to actually get a manager instead of telling someone to go talk to their manager. Understand that an unhappy customer affects your livelihood. Another tip: seat your reservations before walk ins - because we watched you seat walk-ins.
The brunch was a Motel 6 quality with zero vegetables. Brunch by definition is Lunch and Brunch, therefore something more than a bad breakfast and a micro piece of pink cake is not too much to ask for $31.95. Our waiter disappeared and did not check back. When we inquired about vegetables, he said “it’s brunch, talk to my manager”. I went to find a manager and no one would point one out. Shocker. So I walked over to the Copper Cafe in the next room and tried to order a salad to go. They told me a manager from each restaurant would have to approve that. I started looking for Ashton Kutcher at that point because clearly I was being punk’d.
I got no salad, no vegetables, no service...
what we got was treated badly along with a hefty check for really bad food.
Look up the definition of brunch. Then take a course on retaining customers, because this one will never return.
Terrific restaurant, great prices, excellent ambiance and food. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a
good dining experience. They are SO organized with these large Holiday buffets.
Despite reservations, we still waited 30 minutes for our table. This disappointment was overshadowed by the outstanding Easter buffet and service of our wait staff. Everything other than the wait was terrific.
The Easter Brunch was amazing.....my family enjoyed the variety of foods that were offered. Everyone filled up on their fave breakfast eats. The service was perfect and the decorations were very festive. This was our first Easter Brunch there, but not our last. Did I mention that it wasn’t over priced? Beautiful experience.
Overall, this is the best place to eat, in the County, because of the consistent tadte and quality of food. The Easter Brunch was a little disappointing because there were no lunch items at noon during our reservation. We expected a variety of breakfast and lunch for brunch. The food we dod eat was delicious, as
We had a nice time! Everything was great as usual
The Easter Brunch Buffet was great as always. The mimosa/other drinks included in the price was a bonus! We will be there next year.
We went for the Easter breakfast buffet and while it was crowded we had reservations and were seated right away. The food was delicious (price included a mimosa) and our server was terrific. The offerings included something for everyone.
Wonderful experience. We had a large group that they were able to accommodate easily. Fabulous atmosphere and food.
This place is a fairy tale and and old school steak house. Food is exactly what you expect. It's not the best steak of your life but, pink booths and crazy decorations and dancers galore, it's great! Enjoy the kitsch. Enjoy the servers amazing personalities. Enjoy the giant portions. This is a classic place that is perfect in it's everything
Meat is all cooked over oak smoke. It's delicious and adds a little something.
Prime rib was a bit unrendered and extra fatty -- who cares. It was delicious and perfect.
Lobster tail easy fresh and perfectly cooked. Filet was even.
Potatoes are warm and loaded.
Banana cream pie is heaven
I took my daughter out to dinner here before we went to a ballet show and the service was great with helping us get out the door in time and the Filet Mignon was amazing! Ambiance was perfect and my 5 year old loved the Easter decorations. We will be coming back very soon.
This place is over the top and you can certainly get a better steak somewhere else, but would you be surrounded by so many cherubs? I think not! It’s an experience. The service was impeccable and we got a huge slice of cake free since it was our anniversary. Highly recommend if you are down with kitsch of the highest order.
