We are currently offering seating in our bar area, patio, and dining room. The garden area is open on a limited basis and taken on a first come first serve for walk-ins.

Serving dinner and bistro fare, Alchemy Restaurant and Bar offers cuisine transformed. With our Executive Chef, Michael Bryant, we specialize in fresh local ingredients, craft cocktails and boutique wines. We were honored to be named one of the Top 100 Restaurants for Foodies by OpenTable in 2015.

    This is a very charming restaurant in an adorable little Victorian house. The bar is fully stocked, the cocktails and wine list were amazing. Sadly, the food was mediocre at best.

    The corn soup was delicious. The bib lettuce salad with citrus and was generous. The king salmon was a bit overcooked and pricey. The duck with fig reduction was tasty but again too expensive. The strawberry shortcake was good. Overall a pleasant meal but overpriced.

    Alchemy is everything you want in a restaurant and more. The bar, the front porch, and the inside restaurant all offer amazing experiences. The food, wine list, and service elevate it all. Definitely not to be missed.

    An off night for this restaurant after previous, better visits. The a/c wasn't working, I guess, and the poor waiter was visibly sweating. Food temperatures, too, were off (e.g. serving a Caesar salad warm). We liked the waiter but the kitchen apparently forgot one of our orders causing a long wait. Add to that the high prices and mandatory service charge and the result was a consensus not to return.

    We had a lovely dinner on the outside patio. The cocktails were good but very expensive. The service was mostly attentive, however no one asked if we wanted additional drinks after our first order. The most annoying thing was that I ordered a salmon meal that was supposed to be on a "salad" of green papaya. There was no papaya to be seen but instead was lightly cooked shallots. I asked the waiter and he insisted that the shallots were papaya... It all tasted good but I was annoyed and should have brought it to the attention of the manager. I chose to not make further comments. Otherwise the food was delicious.

    Service was not up to par. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. The drinks took an eternity to get to our table. The waitress was very slow. The food took an extremely long time to arrive as well. It made the night quite disappointing.

    Great Happy Hour Experience at Alchemy. We were a group of 6 that had a very pleasant dinner outside at Alchemy before walking over to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The HH menu is very reasonable. A few of us ordered HH and others ordered off the regular dinner menu. The HH menu had a great burger and salad along with $6 glasses of wine. The salmon off the dinner menu was excellent. We highly recommend this spot.
