Serving dinner and bistro fare, Alchemy Restaurant and Bar offers cuisine transformed. We specialize in fresh local ingredients, craft cocktails and boutique wines. If you prefer outside seating please make note in your reservation.
We are honored to be named one of the Top 100 Restaurants for Foodies by OpenTable in 2015.
If you do not see a time available, please give us a call as we might be able to fit you in. For all play tables we suggest no later than 6:00pm. Unfortunately, this visit was far less than satisfactory. Our server, Peter, maintained a positive attitude while numerous blunders were made. It started with a member of our party waiting far too long for a whiskey on the rocks (how difficult is that?). My salad was completely forgotten, they went from appetizer to entree. And then the food... there was no ask for how the meat was preferred, so when it arrived, one person’s steak was so rare it was unacceptable. Two people received raw scallops. And, FYI: when patrons politely inform you that the scallops are undercooked, not a good idea to respond that “they were prepared correctly, just not to your liking”, that added insult to injury. We have had good experiences in the past, but I will think twice before I return - too many other places to dine well. The attempt to resolve our issues was to offer free dessert.

We had a very amazing Anniversary Dinner. The only thing I would change is we ordered a martini and it was pretty tiny, although fantastic for the money should be bigger.

Great food and presentation. Waiter very attentive and good knowledge of mixed drinks. My wife was trying to think of a drink she had in the past and our waiter was able to come up with the name after she came up with only two of the ingredients.

For the price the value was just not there. I had read a blog and loved the pictures from the menu one week prior so made a reservation for my birthday. Unfortunately, almost none of those items were on the menu one week later. I had the rib eye which came with only a few Chanterelles and figs. It was good but not $34 good. The best thing was the flourless chocolate cake that was a special and not on the menu either. Maybe the Bistro would be a better value.

Delicious! Alchemy continues to be one of the top restaurants in Ashland; a “must go” for any trip there. Being from San Francisco, my standards are high, and Alchemy always meets them.

We have eaten at Alchemy before and always enjoyed both the service and food. The visual presentation along with the intense flavors rivals some of the top rated restaurants in this region. Our waiter, Greg, deserves special mention in that his cheerful demeanor, knowledge and overall attentive service were excellent. 5 stars for Greg!

Well appointed restaurant in Ashland. Our waiter was very cordial and knowledgable about wines and dishes. We had besides a Caesar salad, wild mushroom pasta and rib eye. Both very well prepared and tasty. Chocolate dessert very decadent.

Superior dining experience all around. It's a splurge, but worth it. The $40 burger is crazy memorable with fois gras, pork belly, and a half lb of ground filet mignon. Go with a group and get share plates.

Good service and warm and cozy ambiance. Salads and soup were great. Service very professional. Two steak dinners were delicious. The mushroom pasta was extremely rich. We mentioned that to our server and he deducted 10 dollars from our bill. Would definitely give this restaurant another go.

Best restaurant in Ashland! We ate fois gras, a curry soup, halibut and duck. All were creative and well prepared. The wine list is exceptional.
