Really enjoyed my time here.
And they listened to my seating request which made the experience even better.
Always great! My husband and I love this little Mesa gem. Beautiful and delicious cocktails. Very tasty tapas to share. Definitely fit for foodies.
Excellent food. Nice atmosphere. Older crowd until 8:00 and then younger crowd takes over. Wonderful tapas and drinks. We celebrated a 60th birthday. Great wait staff even with the crowd. Reserve a table if you want to come at peak dinner hours.
This place is a Mesa gem! The food just gets better and better! Among our favorites are lamb sliders ("Lamborghini ") and "Date With a Pig" (bacon wrapped date).... Yum!
Our waitress at our last three visits was Veda, who is delightful.
Our neighborhood go to place. It never disappoints. Happy hour has good value and interesting tapas selections. Nice wine list and good cocktails. Nice vibe to the place
A bit overwhelming at first -- so crowded, so noisy. Should we leave? Let's give 'em a chance. Glad we did. They got the job done somehow. Fun food, fun staff. They can do it!
Always exceptional food. The wait staff are all pleasant, professional and enhance the experience.
We are just visiting the area but had this place on out to do list from our previous trip last year. It was just as good as we remembered and we’ll be coming back a few times before we head home.
The restaurant was warm and welcoming. We did not have to wait for our table and they brought us two glasses of sparkling wine to celebrate our anniversary. Although the place was packed, we had no problems having a conversation. The food was great!
As good as the previous time. Inventive, imaginative tapas! The "Lamborghini" remains a hot favorite of ours.
Quick anniversary dinner. Very tasty! The new strand of lights they have hanging are very bright and VERY hot to sit next by. We didn't like that but the food and service were great.
I think they forgot our order because although our first few dishes came out quickly, our "main dish" took an extremely long time, which made us late to and wvent
Very good food & service. Unusual menu items, but really good!
This is a quirky, hard to find the first time, tapas restqaurant. It is cool, noisy, fun, crowded, very good food and friendly service, and affordable. I can't remember the dishes we ordered now about a month after our visition, but after my glass of Rioja I tried another excellent Spanish red from Ribera del Duero. Very fun wines. And the Wonder Woman movie playing without sound on the wall fit right in. Good luck finding it the first time you go.
Tasty sangria and fish tacos, fun old wonder woman series for entertainment.
Went on Friday nite. Low overall score but Tapas were all really good, esp Lamburgini, as usual. Problem was the drinks. They were really subpar. Margarita wasn't mixed right -> how do u mess up a margarita?? Granted the waitress did offer to re-do it, I declined as my faith was not there...as my friend's scotch based cocktail was also off as well~. It's a Tapas place... gotta have a bartender who can at least not screw up a margarita ?
My wife and I were visiting CA from TN and heard about Alcazar, so we decided to check it out. We're so glad we did. The food and atmosphere were excellent, the wait staff friendly and helpful, and the prices very reasonable. Alcazar is a great little gem of a place.
We went for our anniversary. The food was excellent. Fresh and tasted great. The tapas plates were perfect for two. They gave us two glasses of champagne for our anniversary. The specialty cocktails were great.
How fun! Tapas dining can be SO fun, and the staff and food quality makes Alcazar the very best in town. Period. A little noisy, but that might be the eight girls that took over an adjacent table. Server (Alvaro) was awesome!
Fantastic all around. Delicious cocktails, excellent service, a wonderful ambience, and quality food with interesting and well-balanced flavors. I've already been recommending it to friends
Great service, Anna took good care of us. Food was delicious. A little crowded and cramped, but fun.
I'm a big Alcazar fan and frequently recommend the restaurant for the terrific happy hour and drinks. I've never left disappointed and will continue to frequent Alcazar with family and friends. Special shout out to Anna for being fantastic :). She is often there when I go to dine and always gives my guests and me an incredible dining experience! Thank you, Anna!
Anna is excellent, always. I've noticed how busy one server gets when the restaurant is full. As a result, we have to wait for quite some time to place our orders. Sometimes we then miss the opportunity to order more on the happy hour menu. We like to graze and order wine. With only one person the wait can be a bit much. Again, Anna is GREAT! Another server would help!
Nice vibe, great selection of comfy food tapas. Small but nice selection of wines. Would definitely re visit
Love this restaurant. Anna is wonderful! Great Service, awesome variety and delicious food!
This is a great find for a neighborhood restaurant on the Mesa. Food quality and prep were great, super friendly wait staff and great drinks! Great find and looking forward to visiting again soon.
I often eat here with friends and/or family to enjoy their great menu and because of availability of vegan choices since many of my family members are vegan ( not me, )\ We always have a good time. The indoor noise level can be high but we are getting used to it...Pleasant servers.
Wonderful spot! Our food was delicious
Excellent, great food, nice service. Highly recommend
Delicious flavors. Extensive menu. Friendly service. Relaxed ambiance. Intimate without being fussy or precious. Hole-in-the-wall neighborhood joint.
It was great first evening in Paris.. love this place..!
Love Alcazar! The cocktail menu is heavenly and so is the food menu. Their friendly staff always makes us feel very welcome and at home. Great service. This restaurant is very fun to go to with friends or on a date. Lots of delicious plates to share and enjoy together.
Great food - small place - acoustics tricky when it's busy. great live music. great service.
The restaurant was really nice. We were happy to see the decor and walked around to see all the different paper artwork. The food was very tasty, with a lot of options for vegetarians and delicious small plates. We really liked brussel sprouts as they were chopped. The garlic in mushroom was a treat.
Fun menu with selections like Date with a Pig (bacon wrapped dates) and Lamburginis (Two sustainably sourced lamb sliders, golden raisins, mint, house made pesto, Hawaiian rolls). The Lamburginis were delicious. When we arrived at 6 on a Friday night, there were only a few diners, but the place was full and hopping by 7:30.
We gathered to enjoy each other's company and enjoyed so much more!
Alcazar is an interesting experience, a tiny restaurant with tasty food, unique presentations, and good service. If you're over 40, you'll be hard-pressed to have a conversation across the table, because it gets quite loud, even if only 1/2 the seats are occupied. The decor is almost exclusively hard surfaces, and that contributes to the noise level. However, the noise is a result of people enjoying themselves (and we did too), so do give Alcazar a try for a memorable evening.
Wonderful experience, delicious and creative food. Service was friendly and helpful. Make sure to try the Ginspiration Point cocktail.
I like the feel of this place and always look forward to returning. Great, friendly service. Unique among the plethora of neighborhood gems in Santa Barbara.
Very good Spanish cuisine. Moderate to small portions for the price, but very good quality and delicate.
