Named after the founder’s uncle, Albert, who used to store his tools in the original shed, the restaurant has become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike.

With a superb location in Manchester City Centre, near all major transport links, complimentary on site parking and the highest levels of service and cuisine, the Castlefield Rooms are the perfect venue to hold your wedding, corporate event or party. We offer a choice of three contrasting spaces for anything from 25 to 250 guests together with a range of competitively priced event packages. The versatility of the spaces is also reflected in the variety of menus available from the acclaimed kitchens of Albert’s Shed Restaurant and Dukes 92 which are located on the same site as The Castlefield Rooms. Whichever space you decide on you will have our dedicated Events Team on hand to ensure the smooth and efficient running of your event.

    We had the Sunday dinner platter which was lovely. My only criticism is that when I made the booking it asks if it’s a special occasion and if you have any requests. It was our 6th wedding anniversary, and we actually had our wedding reception here so I mentioned that. Nothing was said or done about it, it wasn’t even mentioned at the meal so I just think why are you asking this and then just ignoring it? I mean I was t expecting a freebie or anything but if you are asking the question then you could at least acknowledge the answer?

    We went as a family to celebrate a birthday. The food was lovely and catered dor all ages with a good children's menu as well. We weren't rushed and had good service and the price was reasonable. A very enjoyable place to fo for any occasion

    Only 6 maine courses to choose from. I had a lobster ravioli. Overpriced and tasteless Waitresses not in mood Overall not recommended

    The service was fantastic (our waitress was excellent) but when her shift finished the service went downhill however there was only a couple of waitresses on so the may have been short staffed

    Had a lovely girlie lunch, busy but good standards maintained. Sea bass was well cooked, not keen on the “cooked “ olives though. Mini brownie were lovely but really needed a little icecream/cream to make it easier to eat them, bit laggy without. Two minor points, that didn’t spoil our experience, and well done to Alaska who looked after us 😊

    I’ve been going to Albert’s for Sunday dinners for years - it’s become my favourite spot in Manchester for a roast. But yesterday’s meal was truly outstanding. The roast chicken dinner was the best I’ve ever had, bar none - all perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Every element on the plate was spot on - from the crisp roast potatoes to the rich gravy and perfectly cooked vegetables. I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. Special mention to the chef - absolutely smashed it! It’s rare to say a meal you’ve had many times somehow manages to top itself - but this one absolutely did. I can’t wait to go back.
