    Really good meal with my wife. They had ran out of beef but the chicken roast was lovely. Service for the most part was good. Average wine was expensive.

    Delicious roast! Last minute booked to have a roast dinner here, and it was a great decision. Reasonably priced, big portions and the beef was tasty and tender. Sticky toffee pudding was also fantastic. A lovely venue with nice decorations and atmosphere. Service was really slow but may be due to busy sunday rush.

    Very pleasing on the eye when arriving, a warm welcome from the front and found my reservation and table very quickly. I found the music a little loud but my partner was ok with it so each to there own. Menu was nice but a little small for variety. Drinks menu was great but did give us the wrong drinks at first. Rectified quickly so no fuss. Food was really nice and presented and good portion size. Flavour’s where great also which in Manchester can be a miss with easy on the eye food so thats a massive bonus for me. Price was really good for the standard as well. Only issue i felt was not knowing who was my waiter and having difficulty to get the attention of one. But for a busy restaurant in Manchester it ran smoothly and we had a nice time. We shall be returning and recommend a visit

    Excellent in everything. Food was fantastic as always. Drinks very nice too. Only marked service down as they seemed to be short staffed so was a bit slow. That’s said, our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. Love this restaurant. Probably my favourite in Manchester City centre.

    Initially shown to a table near to an outside door despite the booked reservation. It had to be made up for us although other central tables were available. Requested to move which we did but why place us there as though our booking had been forgotten? Otherwise an enjoyable meal with friendly, attentive service.

    Lovely friendly welcome . All staff were attentive and professional throughout. Food was outstanding , my stuffed chicken with mozzarella and mushrooms was devine and my husband had the Albert’s fish and chips which he commented the best fish he had ever eaten 😋!! This is our second time here and won’t be our last . Highly recommend always . Thankyou for a lovely experience Albert’s Shed will be seeing soon 😊

    Went on a Thursday early evening for a naughty mid-week treat and take advantage of the January offer. Had a great time, great food and excellent service. Definitely looking for an excuse to go again!

    Food here was great, but the service is terrible. It was bad when we came at Christmas but decided to give it another go. Still terrible and not even busy, just a few tables in but always having to ask for drinks, remind on water etc, the sauces for the meal came when we had finished... was just very slow and was same experience as last time. Shame though as its a nice place and the food is good, but service us important!

    What’s happened to Albert’s? Once a fantastic place to eat now just run of the mill, another nye conveyer belt with little care to the food they serve.

    Utterly dependable, nothing pretentious and lovely staff. Thank God it’s opened again after the Chinese Flue. Just a small point: I enjoy the feeling of history when visiting Castlefield and like to have my mind wander to the conditions back in the day. To this end PLEASE put back the pictures of Albert. It’s your shared past

    The restaurant was perfect...starter and drinks came out on time. Main shortly followed and then dessert. The meal was amazing 10/10 Staff were polite and friendly and attentive.

    Been a couple of times. Food is always good but the service needs looking at. It seemed to take forever to get any service for ordering and we ended up with 3 or 4 different staff serving us and none of them really knew if we had ordered , what we had ordered or even what he had just asked for Would go again as the food is great but hopefully some of the staff may have been trained up better to

    Food limited. Replacement products were stale. What kitchen can't make bread?!?! We were even asked to keep the noise down in a practically empty restaurant. The reason we go out with the kids and fitness in between Xmas and New year is that places are quiet and kids can be kids....they weren't running around. We were playing charades.....from the crackers the venue provided!

    Visited for a birthday celebration with family. Food was really good and the two course lunch menu is good value. The kids make your own pizza went down well. Service was a little slow at times and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy.
