Albert’s Shed is a stylish, family-owned restaurant located in the heart of Manchester’s Castlefield district. The elegant location offers a refined yet relaxed dining experience by the canal. Named after the founder’s uncle, Albert, who used to store his tools in the original shed, the restaurant has become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike.

We offer a choice of three contrasting spaces for anything from 25 to 250 guests together with a range of competitively priced event packages. The versatility of the spaces is also reflected in the variety of menus available from the acclaimed kitchens of Albert’s Shed Restaurant and Dukes 92 which are located on the same site as The Castlefield Rooms. Whichever space you decide on you will have our dedicated Events Team on hand to ensure the smooth and efficient running of your event.

    I’ve been going to Albert’s for Sunday dinners for years - it’s become my favourite spot in Manchester for a roast. But yesterday’s meal was truly outstanding. The roast chicken dinner was the best I’ve ever had, bar none - all perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Every element on the plate was spot on - from the crisp roast potatoes to the rich gravy and perfectly cooked vegetables. I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. Special mention to the chef - absolutely smashed it! It’s rare to say a meal you’ve had many times somehow manages to top itself - but this one absolutely did. I can’t wait to go back.

    It is always such a delight to visit Albert’s Shed, from arriving to leaving you’re looked after so well. We were celebrating my husbands 75th and the staff were, as always, wonderful! The food is always so good, the staff are very attentive, the atmosphere is always great. We love this restaurant. If we lived in Manchester we would visit so regularly. But we always choose Alberts Shed when we are in Manchester. Wonderful restaurant, can highly recommend

    We visited Saturday lunchtime and opted for the 3-course for £19.95 offer, sharing a bottle of wine The food was superb, even more so for the cost. The restaurant is effortlessly chic, stylish and yet still had that warm welcoming feeling.

    Didn’t have a great experience in this restaurant- we went for a big celebration, one of our diners had undercooked chicken which the chef said was ‘just the temperature it was cooked at’ which is why it looked pink, tender and undercooked and frankly unappealing, felt like it was dismissed quite quickly. The service was mainly good and we were offered another option and for it to be struck off the bill at the end, but nonetheless is disappointing properly cooked chicken is an essential when paying those kind of prices. The sea bass was a bit sparse. The drinks were quite nice which was a positive.

    Excellent experience for my lil sisters birthday! Good attention from staff, not invasive and not ignored, just he right amount. Food excellent. Very happy!
