About Alberto's on Fifth
Chef Alberto Varetto creates the finest in contemporary Northern Italian cuisine.
His culinary interpretations emphasize seasonal ingredients, while creatively respecting the great traditions of Italian gastronomy.
The glory of Italian cooking is fresh ingredients, served at their peak, and handled in a way that flatters, rather than masks, their personalities.

Alberto's on Fifth Ratings and Reviews
Had a very nice time. Food was excellent. The burrata appetizer was very good. I had the evening special (Branzino) it was excellent. Light and flacky, and not too much pesto dizzled over the top. My wife had the pasta with crab. It was also delish!
Even though there were a few large groups in the room, the noise level was still suitable for a nice converstion.
we had a group of 10 people, arrived 30 min before our reservation, our table was not ready... they have no TV's and we wanted to watch the football game so we told the host we would go next door for a drink and be back at 8pm (our reservation time) ,, we showed back up at 7:58pm , the host gave our table away and told us it would be at least 15-20 min for a table
the host was not very accommodating and kind of rude..so, we went next door and the Aqua set up a table for us immediately.. I would not recommend Alberto's.. small and very boring (we were there on a Saturday night) .. I would highly recommend the Aqua restaurant next door... great happy hour, great entertainment, great food and very accommodating
Food quality was poor. Sent my veal tenderloin back because it was tough and had no taste. Ordered the lamb chops which took 25 minutes to get out of the kitchen.
When it came the chops were fatty and not good.
The waitress could care less. Took her 15 min to return to the table to see if I was happy. When I explained my dissatisfaction she replied everyone likes it here.
Asked for a check. Too frustrated to Argue.
To add insult I was charged for the lamb chops which was more expensive $40.00 vs $32.00 then the veal.
I will not go back!!
From the friendly greeting at the door to the fabulous cocktails and delicious dinners Alberto‘s creates five star experiences consistently . It is chef owned and operated with the team that has been with Chef Alberto from day one. We are sure to put it on our list each time we return to Naples .
We go to Alberto's regularly and it is ALWAYS excellent. This most recent visit our group had the following entree's; seabass, veal ravioli, lambchops and swordfish. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dish and said they would recommend it. The service was terrific and it's a nice place to eat outside.
We enjoyed taking our 82 year old parents there to celebrate their trip to Naples as a Christmas Present. The food was wonderful after a great cocktail. We sat in a booth and it was quiet so we could enjoy conversation. Waitress was great. Definitely recommend to others!!
The food was better than average. The service started out very strong and then plummeted as in had to find the waiter to get the tab. He never came back after the food was served and we had some requests. Could have been a much better experience. Very disappointing:(
Four of us dined outside on Christmas Eve. It was a lovely evening. They seated us promptly even though we arrived early. Very courteous and helpful staff. Two of us had the mushroom risotto and two had the blackened snapper. We were all quite pleased by the food and their willingness to modify meals to suit tastes. We also had the pear and prosciutto salad which we split. Very tasty!
Wine was nice and my husband (a Grappa aficionado) was excited to try one he had never had before. Desserts were well prepared too.
All of this while we sat outside on a beautiful, warm Christmas Eve with Naples’ Fifth Avenue as the backdrop and with friends up north texting us tales of winter weather woes. What’s not to love?
To me this is the best Restaurant in Naples. This is my go to place on Fifth Ave. I have never been disappointed. The food is excelllent and creative. The service is great. If you like mussels in broth or burrata or spinach salad with figs thats just for starters. They have wonderful wines. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The best part of all is the have an early dinning menu that is wonderful and affordable. I have recommended this restaurant many times and all the people that have gone say this is their new favorite. Don’t pass by it, it is at the very beginning of Fifth Ave.
Absolutely incredible Italian cuisine, and quite a bargain for 5th Avenue. We wanted to do a little shopping for Christmas, so took advantage of their early bird dinner option. Two courses and a glass of house wine for $24. The wine was good enough for house wine, but the food quality and quantity was tremendous. I opted for burrata and my wife had the mussels. Both were incredible, and were full appetizer portions - not scaled back. We actually counted the mussels - there were 22 of them, and most were a really good size. Our fresh pasta dinners were incredible as well. We added a second glass of wine each and left for just under $75 including a generous tip.
