About Alberto Forest Hills
Alberto has been a neighborhood institution for over 35 years. Owners, Silvana & Roberto Chiappelloni, originally from Piacenza, Italy, have always believed that good food should not be outrageously expensive and that good wines are meant to be enjoyed. Alberto's menu offers spirited versions of home-cooked dishes from the Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy and Ligurian provinces. Alberto's offers a welcoming and friendly atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door. The bar area is resplendent with an antique mahogany bar, fireplace and large open mahogany doors. Frosted glass and wrought iron chandeliers hang overhead. The souring oak-beamed ceiling is artfully enclosed by exposed brick walls, skylight and colorful artist-signed prints which provide warmth and a delightful sense of coziness. While many NYC eateries have a reputation for highbrow dining, there remains a warm and familial culinary treasure in Forest Hills, Queens. Come and join us at Alberto. Buon Appetito

Alberto Forest Hills Ratings and Reviews
The staff. EVERYONE is so friendly. The owner always says Thank you on exit. Just such a lovely ambiance and pleasant staff. The food is very good. Just one dish I had that didn't wow me. But was not terrible in any way. But, I will continuously come back...I plan to try every dish.
Excellent Queens Italian Restaurant. The host family treats you like their family and really make you feel special. The gentleman host brought us a new bottle of wine when he felt the first one didn't look just right in my glass even though I didn't say anything when I tasted it. I recommend Alberto's highly.
Alberto's is a Queens staple. If you like Italian food this is the perfect location. A historic restaurant in Forest Hills with a classic, authentic food selection. The specials rivals the size of the regular menu and everything is amazing.
Definitely recommend the Trio de Funghi appetizer, you'll want to come back for it.
Alberto's keeps getting better and better each time we dine at the restaurant. The food, service and wine selection are second to none. The attentiveness and hospitality delivered by Silvana and her staff will surely keep us coming back, again and again! Thank you for another memorable and sublime evening. ~Antoinette
This was our second time eating at Alberto's. The first time was such a great dining experience that we couldn't wait to return. It did not disappoint! The food is exceptional, whether it's a menu item or special. The wine by the glass is outstanding and the desserts are pure heaven. It is our new favorite neighborhood place.
Alberto's is a "go to" place for my husband and I when we are looking to treat ourselves . This Thursday they were a little quieter than usual. Their service is always spot on and the food is expertly prepared. I don't think my husband has ordered off of their menu in 20 years. Their specials are always awesome. My favorite is the handmade cheese Tortellini Alberto that is amazing. The busboy mentioned that they had changed their coffee brand and it was noticeably better. We ordered the duck special with risotto to go for our son. He carried on for two days about how good it was.
Everything about our experience was superb! The greeting at the door, the professional, yet warm and inviting service and did I mention the food... Every item my husband and I selected was amazing. Scrumptious salad, tender and delightful stuffed artichoke, the entrees, his shrimp and my chicken were unforgettable!! I had the did and blue cheese salad which was tastefully done, not at all overwhelming. The chicken special melted in your mouth, it was that tender. Not too tough on the pocketbook either😉
If ever there was the most delicious, most consistent restaurant food and service wise, it is our favorite all time restaurant, Alberto's. We got engaged in this restaurant 34 years ago, and the food is still so delicious! The Tortelli is their trademark, the pasta homemade , and their sauces are all delicious! Every veal dish melts in your mouth, as they only use the best quality of everything! The fresh strawberries with Zabaglione is the best I have ever tasted! Thank you Silvana for years of fabulous dinners and wonderful memories!
We hadn't been to Alberto's for over thirty years and are now kicking ourselves about it. The place is lovely, waiters friendly and attentive not to mention very accommodating to special requests. They split two of the pasta dishes three ways so we could all try both. The gnocchi and tortelli melt in your mouth. The veal pillows, branzino and three musketeers were all delicious! We will not be waiting years to go back again!
Alberto 's has been a neighborhood gem for years and is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. My wife and I went there for Fathers Day and we had a great time. I had the rack of Lamb that was seasoned and cooked to perfection and she had the Branzino in a white wine sauce that was amazing.
I definitely would recommend Alberto's for a special occasion. The cuisine was as good, if not better than any Manhattan restaurant. For the boroughs it was a bit pricey. The ambiance was very nice. The staff was courteous. The owners came around the tables to make sure everyone was happy, and the food was made to order.
We had a lovely meal at Alberto -- the food was great and staff was gracious. Except -- we waited at least 15 minutes to get our check after our plates had been cleared. It was the end of dinner service, I would have thought they would have been happy to expedite our departure!
Dinner was excellent, my hubby and I had baked clams for the appetizer and my hubby had Veal Romana which is excellent. I had the sauteed branzino with homemade pasta - was delicious. As for dessert we shared the home made Napoleon which is to die for. A little pricey, but well worth the meal. Will be back.
