Awful, they cancelled my reservation
Plates were not clean. The pizza was good. The service was slow
I’ve been here multiple times and the service, food, and drinks have always been what you would expect for a bottomless brunch. Unfortunately, today was not that way. I came in with a party of 8, with reservation, at opening (11 am). We waited about 10 minutes for water and to have our drink orders taken. The server was short and rude. Our first round of drinks came fairly promptly, but then remained empty more often than full while the tables taken care of by another server never got close to half empty.
The food took 40 minutes for most of my party, while the other tables mentioned were on their second round of food in that time. Two of our party didn't get their food until 20 minutes later. No communication, no "I'm sorry for the delay."
When I asked to speak with the management about the service (or lack thereof), I got a pat on the back (literally) and a bunch of excuses. Again, not a single "I'm sorry for the service." Extremely patronizing. Will not be coming back.
Great food and underpopulated on a Saturday night - go!
Absolutely! We had a phenomenal brunch - all you can eat/drink at a great value.
Went with a group of 12 for brunch. Our glasses were never empty and they kept the food coming! Everyone left happy and full.
This is the worst dining experience I’ve had in years. The restaurant was aloud. The wait staff was rude, and undermanned, the food wasn’t tasty, and our entrees took 50 minutes to come. Another patron complained that they had been waiting an hour and a half.
I had one of the worst dining experiences at this restaurant. We were seated at the bar and had been seated for nearly 10 minutes and no one came to take our order. My husband called the restaurant and asked if someone could come take our order. It seemed as though the bartender was also waiting tables and pretty over extended. The food was subpar. It simply wasn’t worth the money we paid since it took so long to even get a drink refill. I am totally disappointed in this restaurant and do not plan to ever go back
Very good food with a little bit slow service; a one-page menu, which provided enough choices for everyone in the group
It was ok. Food was rather salty and portions were average in size at best. Place was cold inside. Place was nearly empty on a Saturday night.
Kind and attentive servers, good food & drink
Splurged for the Valentine's Day dinner menu, but the website, Facebook page, and menu made no mention of a comedy show happening in the restaurant at the same time. Dinner was interrupted by several announcements and a crew setting up lights. Several guests - most of whom were also couples out for a special dinner - asked to be re-seated away from the show, but there were speakers set up throughout the entire space. When the show began it was impossible to carry on a conversation and the loud music in between performers was very disruptive. We rushed to finish dinner before the show began (unsuccessfully) and several other diners were visibly upset as well.
The staff made their best efforts to accommodate us, and the food itself was generally delicious, but it was disappointing to spend money on a nice restaurant meal for a special occaission and leave feeling frustrated and stressed over our experience.
We left Alba Osteria within 15 mins of sitting...after walking into an empty restaurant (on a Friday night???), we were sat by a host who emerged from the back room. She sat us in an empty section, poured us room temperature water, and then said "What do you want to drink?" without even introducing herself. We didn't know,...because she hadn't given us menus. Then an angry-looking man came inside from the side door of our section, pulled the host/server aside, and pointed at our table while angrily mumbling something to her. He then went to the front of the restaurant and let tattooed men bring black crates past our table and into the back. We asked for the house Cab, (which we think we were served--the server never brought us the bottle). We quickly and uncomfortably drank it, and asked for the check--we were worried that venturing to order from the menu would only lead to further discomfort. We left without trying anything or even knowing if a server was coming to take our order--and having only been served cheap wine with a side of discomfort and regret.
What a find! It was a dark and rainy January night in DC. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were one of only a couple additional tables in the place. That's worrisome. Especially on a Saturday night. But the food and service helped to ease our worry. I had the Prosciutto wrapped dates for appetizer. Wow. Just sublime. Amazing flavor. I chose the goat cheese and beet salad for my main (especially helpful after the heavier date app). Just outstanding. Add in the tasty Manhattan and it was quite the good meal. Everyone in our dinner party raved about the meal. So happy we found this place and look forward to getting back next trip.
I hosted a going away brunch here and the food was amazing! Definitely get the family style bottomless brunch if you can. It's fun for you and all your guests.
Only negative are the chairs. They are super thin plastic and make you feel like you will break them. Booths are available and alternative chairs if needed.
Celebrating birthdays, friendship and the hilolidays
My waitress was amazing. She was from Jordan and her kindness attentiveness was remarkable.
Great atmosphere, great bartender/waitress in Jasmine.
I enjoyed my meal and so did my companion, I ordered the waffle which came with something like a slice of bologna and fried egg. Everything was well cooked but the servers were a bit lackadaisical. It was also raining and they asked us to wait out in the rain without umbrellas though we had an early reservation
Great food, service, ambiance, and price! Will be returning.
Food was good however when we first sat down and they bought the first 2 Mimosas something was in the glass. I thought for sure they would offer us a free dessert or something to say thanks for not just leaving, nothing.
Took my son here for dinner - as an escape from law school. The food was ok - but just ok - not much seasoning or special. No one noticed us when we walked in - had to wave at staff to be seated.
The food was nice but the Bloody Mary was pretty weak
I stopped into Alba Osteria with my manager who was visiting for the day. Both of our meals were tasty, and our server was very pleasant. It didn’t seem like they get very busy for lunch during the week, so there was only one person on the floor, but he did a great job.
We went there on a Monday night to an uncrowded place. Good martini and excellent beet salad to begin, very fresh. My husband had gnocchi with sausage, which he said was very tasty. I had pasta with mixed seafood (shrimp, calamari, etc.); the seafood was a tad overcooked. We had a very helpful and friendly server.
Excellent service and very chilled brunch
Le rapport qualité-prix n’est pas là. Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c’est.
Too loud for a peaceful meal
The food, drinks, our waiter and the atmosphere were all great!!
The best will be back for brunch again and again... when they say endless brunch it really is endless!!!!
Finally made it to Alba Osteria and it was everything I heard it would be. Absolutely delicious and WONDERFUL brunch deal!
The food was great, however, a friend has a really sensitive gluten allergy and asked the waiter if the gnocchi was potato and NOT made out of, or with, flour. While we all enjoyed our meals, she ended up having to leave the restaurant because her stomach was so upset and she was visibly sick. Turned out the gnocchi was made with flour after all. The waiter was really apologetic, but that doesn't excuse the carelessness of the wait staff or kitchen. While the waiter spoke to the manager, and her meal was comped, the manager did not come out and apologize on behalf of the business. We wish we could have had a better experience.
The rest of us thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and the sangria we ordered. Too bad my friend had a bad experience, or this place would have been pretty good.
Showed up for our reservation to be told they decided to close early because it had been a slow day.
The restaurant had a great ambiance and kept the unlimited drinks for brunch stocked around the clock; however, both the food and the service were sub-par especially for the price. Though I live nearby, I will not be coming back.
This is my go-to place for business lunch.
The management and the service are top-notch.
The chef is inventive and his creations never cease to amaze me.
Authentic, fresh and tasty Italian cuisine.
The food was great and the service excellent! Not many people there because we went right when it opened for dinner so it wasn't crowded!
We sat outside which was nice and quiet. Noise level inside was hoppin. We love this spot for happy hour and brought our friends from out of town. The food and wine is great and the service is always on point.
