Brilliant seasonal lunch menu with 3 delicious courses.
Service was excellent throughout and staff very attentive although we did feel rushed between each course despite the restaurant, at times, not being particularly busy.
My recent lunch experience @ Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester was wonderful again. The lunch menue is recommended though the other menues available are also delicious. The service is excellent and you'll look forward to your next visit.
Food was very good. The service was good but at a restaurant of this level it should be better.
Great food and 5 star service can’t wait to go back
The standard of this restaurant is always good to reminisce and remember. The service of the staff has been outstanding as always
Enjoyed the night, staff were great, the dishes on the tasting menu were well executed but given the number of michelin stars and the price tag i expected them to be a bit better, really don't like that fois grois was on the menu, left a bad taste in my mouth... staff were very good though and did offer an alternative. Wasn't amazed but i can appreciate that the ingredients were outstanding and the food was perfectly cooked...
This is my 3rd time in Alain Duccasse, it is fantastic experience as always.
Simply Outstanding in every way food , service, ambiance.... amazing
A delicious meal with lots of surprises. The service is very discrete and professional. The room is wonderfully calm even when it's full as it was today. There is a lot of space between the tables. A great experience from the moment we arrived until we left having eaten loads delicious chocolates and macarons with our coffee.
The chef needs to try other Michelin star restaurants. Cannot believe this place is so highly rated. Very sub par. Nothing special about it. Not sure how this place ever earned its stars. If you’re looking for an amazing meal - go to Core by Clare Smyth instead.
Highly anticipated but came away underwhelmed. The cuisine is generally of a very good standard but not 3* standard by any stretch. Technically fine with superb ingredients but lacking flair. Service friendly and welcoming but at times weirdly inept. Cutlery and a menu dropped on my lap. Inability to remember my guest doesn’t drink alcohol as advised at the start of the meal. Not remembering who ordered what when delivering dishes. Starters took over 30 minutes to materialise after the amuse bouche. Wayward and unfocused. Baffling
Exquisite, as always. Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester takes the fine dining experience to a whole new level. You are made to feel special every time and the food is just out of this world.
The environment is great, and the service is excellent. We chosed the taste menu, the challenge for us is we are not big fan of cheese.
Always excellent! The food, service and decor are all excellent. A special place for any special occasion or just enjoying the company of good friends.
I had a fabulous dining experience at Alain Ducasse. Delicious food, truly works of art, stunning presentation and welcoming, friendly and knowledge staff.
Spicy & Sweet desert was really not my taste.
Service was spectacular, but the food could be better for a 3 Michelin stars restaurant.
Good recommendation of wine.
The food is good and the service is excellent！
I would like to come again and recommend this restaurant to my friends!
The environment and food are good. But the service is very mechanised. For example, that day was my friend’s birthday, we brought a birthday cake from outside. When we told the waiter, they say OK they will take it. But we waited for twenty minutes, the cake hasn’t been on the table. Then we asked the another waiter he said on the way. When we waited for totally forty minutes the waiter came to us and said that there is a rule in their restaurant that customer cannot bring the food from outside into their restaurant. Why they told us until we waited for forty minutes? It made us so angry. This is our first time to come here, but we will not to come again next time. By the way, we are Chinese.
Shockingly poor customer service. We book our reservation via open table shortly before 6 am on the day of the reservation, which, by the way, indicated that they had a wide variety of available times. Our reservation indicated in the notes that we confirmed that we would be there as the restaurant requires confirmation 48 hours in advance of the reservation. When we arrived, we were told that they had attempted to call us and cancelled the reservation after they were unable to reach us.
We checked our cell phone, there were NO calls, Period. They had left an email, however, it is clear from the reservation, that we were international visitors on holiday and my cell is fully functional in London as I am here frequently on business.
Sorry Alain Ducasse, this is a customer service failure and you should be embarrassed as opposed to telling me that the restaurant has experienced no shows in the past.
I realize that you don’t need my business, but your attitude was shocking. Yes you made arrangements for us at another restaurant, which only had three tables occupied all evening. And Yes you gave directions to the taxi driver, which, by the way, you didn’t offer to pay for. But as a previous guest of your sister property in Paris, where we received outstanding customer service, the difference in customer service was shocking. Shame on you.
Everything was exquisite
AD at the Dorchester is still one of my favourite restaurants in London - excellent service, splendid & inventive food, a lovely setting, nice ambience and great staff. My niece & I had a most wonderful dinner recently - opting for the seasonal (and standard) tasting menus. Sublime!
Absolutely exquisite. Amazing value for money, taking into account caliber of food and impeccable service. Attention to detail second to none.
Waited an hour for main courses having ordered the tasting menu. Service poor and untrained. Would never go back.
the Service was excellent - but the food was not consistently outstanding nor memorable which is what I expected from a renowned restaurant and the price tag. In fact the hard cheese in the cheese course was dry and rubbery , the clear broth tasteless and the green sauce with the scallops was very strange. I would not go back even if it were cheaper.
Excellent meal and service from the staff at the restaurant. Went for the tasting menu which was really good. Exactly what you would expect from Alain Ducasse flagship restaurant
Fabulous service from all staff, but especially the maître d'hôtel.
Delicious food and wine pairings.
Great service. The food quality and taste are spectacular.
I am very pleased with the standard of this restaurant every time I was there I have enjoyed my meal amazingly, thanks to all staff to make it a success
really good condition of foods
The ambient was simpler than expected. The service was reasonable, the food was soulless, surprisingly nothing with superb flavor or distinctly savour. The presentation was ok! The chef was on vacation?
Great experience. Loved everything about the place. More descriptive review and rating in my instagram @game_foodbook
The food is absolutely amazing and the service was very professional, we are sure coming back for next time
Overall a fantastic experience. Was a little worried about the cost, but everything was so perfect that the price really didn’t matter in the end. Would highly recommend it to anyone for a special occasion.
Very good all round, but the service is excellent. This was our second visit. Unfortunately, their prices have gone up incredibly! Love it, but they are pricing out their customers.
Nothing to pick on the service, very attentive and attention to details. Food was decent but not sure for 3 stars, have tried few other 1 or 2 stars that are more wow.
Both the service and food were impeccable.
We will be returning next time we visit London. Highly recommend the four course dinner.
Excellent cuisine and wine with very good service. Full marks. We have two criticisms which we assume you would use constructively. 1. we found the decor in the restaurant a bit cold and 2. We recovered out coats just outside the entrance to the restaurant that were just thrown over a chair. We thought that was not very good for a three Michelin star restaurant in the Dorchester.

We came here for our Christmas treat. Restaurant is lovely and staff was welcoming. There was a cracker on each setting which was a nice touch. The staff here was great. Friendly, respectful and attentive without being in your face.
We had the tasting menu. Portions are not big but it is plenty of food and very tasty.
We loved the plate of cheese gougeres. These were very moorish.
The music was nice and not loud. Tables aren't too close together so you can't hear other conversations.
It was a really nice evening. It was a nice touch to be given a bag of mostly home made French sweets at the end of our meal. We were also given a box of 2 pistachio cakes as we left the restaurant. These were really nice!
Loved it. Would come again.
Proposed the my girlfriend on a magical night at Alain Ducasse. Exemplary service throughout and catered to our specific needs. The food was extraordinary!
