Excellent. All the way around.
I have been dining at Al Tiramisu several times per year for many years now, and it has always been an excellent experience-I've never had a meal that was anything short of wonderful there. Paired with the delicious food is the consistently outstanding, highly attentive service. While there less expensive options in Washington DC, Al Tiramisu is worth every penny.
This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Every meal is a wonderful gastronomy experience with wide ranges of flavors and always with Chef’s personal touch. The staff are so welcoming and willing to do anything within their capability to make sure your meal and service are impeccable.
Chef Luigi creates several custom spirits that you’ll only find in the restaurant and they are delicious.
Thank you again Chef for a wonderful night.
Food was really good, authentic Italian. However, our server was very rude and judgemental. I didn't know the name of a dish and he was very rude about it.
We celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful meal and fire made for a romantic and cozy evening. Just perfect.
The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Will definitely go back.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Al Tiramisu, from the main courses to the dessert (tiramisu). The wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful. A nice cozy spot for a date night in D. C.!
We had a great service last night and we enjoyed an excellent meal. The Al Tiramisu team was accommodating and their multilingual capabilities very useful.
Great, authentic Italian food. Professional and friendly service.
Food was excellent.
The chef was incredibly rude to us and we should have left. there were no heaters in the outside area. I asked the chef who happened to be there about this and he said no there was sunshine. Then I inquired about eating inside and said that I was concerned about Covid and he said that I should start by putting a mask on. Then I asked if there were many people inside and he said I should hope so, it is a restaurant. I was very surprised as there was only one other table in the restaurant. He would’ve thought he would have wanted more customers. He was rude condescending and I will not return.
Al Tiramisu serves consistently delicious food and provides impeccable service in a beautiful space.
The staff was wonderful. Food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Plan to return.
We had a lovely evening snd a wonderful dinner. Always a delightful experience…
This is our favorite restaurant. Always a great time with great food and service.
Amazing dinner prepare by Chef Luigi!
Five course meal top off by a great bottle of wine, by far the best Italian restaurant in DC, Yanni great waiter! Will be back for sure!
Wait staff was friendly, fun, and helpful. Food was fantastic. Outdoor area in the winter is decorated with lights and clear plastic to block wind.
Delicious specials, nice wine selection, very friendly service
Exceptional dining….. we were 2 foodies wanting to share entrees…. Ordered fish and lamb chops with 1/2 orders of different pasta for first course. Server offered to bring us food in 3 courses… pasta, lamb then fish…. Wonderful idea…. I love opportunity to savor each entree separately.
Server anticipated our needs….. We’ll be back… Andrea
Wonderful warm and cheerful traditional Italian restaurant. Food may be a little on the heavy side (no nouvelle cuisine here) but pasta is freshly made and the mushrooms were exceptionally flavorful. Excellent service.
This is my favorite restaurant in D.C. Chef Luigi and his team are fabulous. Warm, welcoming, accommodating of special requests. And the food is phenomenal!
How can you not loooove Al Tiramisu?!?! Luigi and his staff of experts are the ideal hosts for dinner whenever you can get to DuPont Circle. If you have never been, you simply must go! If you have been, you know exactly what I mean and you need to go back again. White truffles are in season for only a little bit longer and they are worth every penny! Thank you, Luigi, for sharing your talent and care and love with us. We will be back soon!
The restaurant is - for me, after two years spent in Washington- the best option in town.
This is the best restaurant in DC by far. The food is simple but done right. That is much harder than pretentious “creative” dishes. I guess that I am a Japanese so I appreciate the reductionist food done right than the gimmicky food.
Excellent food and service.
Great food. We ordered the duck, lamb chops and steak. All were excellent.
We had a lovely and delicious lunch including yummy pasta dishes and tasty lamb chops. The bottle of Sancerre was delicious, too! The five of us were seated at a lovely corner round table. The staff were very attentive and nice. All round a lovely experience!
The best Italian food we’ve had ever!!! outside of Italy. Totally fabulous. We will return whenever we are area.
Fresh grilled fish & pasta with veal ragu
Discovered this place by chance on a Monday at lunch. It was so delicious that we came back for dinner 3 days later. The best restaurant I have been in DC so far!
This place was AMAZING! It is truly a must do if you are in the DC area. There wasn’t a single bite of our meal that wasn’t delicious. We will be back!
owner is rude. service spotty. used to be soooo much better. covid definitely hurt them. i’ll never go again because of rude and unwelcoming owner
We have been here many times before, and we always enjoyed the experience. This time was also good, but the pacing was off. Within 3 or 4 minutes of placing our order, our first courses came out of the kitchen. We had hoped to have a few minutes to settle in with our wine before the meal began. And again, within 1 or 2 minutes of our first course dishes cleared away, the main dish came out. We had been seated at 7:15pm and by 8:00 we had finished our main course (which was fish, so we couldn’t eat terribly slowly without it turning cold). Immediately, we were presented with dessert menus, but we still had 1/2 bottle of Franciacorta to finish. So we spent the next 30 minutes or so sitting with our wine. Had there been 10 or 15 minutes between courses, we would have been much happier.
Excellent service and food!! Love coming here! The staff and chef are incredible.
Fantastic Italian food well worth a visit whilst in Washington DC
Loved it! Food and service were excellent.
Superb food, excellent service, cozy ambiance (just a tad too warm).
The truffle risotto and lobster risotto were just incredible good! We will be back!!
Terrific as always. Looking forward to my next meal there. The risotto special was particularly magical.
Not our first time. Always amazing food and service. Not cheap, especially when you splurge a bit on that bottle of Amarone like we did. But it's upscale casual fine dining, and it's one of the best places in the city. My wife vividly and fondly recalled her ricotto gnocchi cacio e pepe for days after with closed eyes and a yummy grin. We'll be back again.
