Tried Al Porto on a whim. Amazing food, impeccable service! It was very refreshing to have all staff greet you and acknowledge you when coming in and leaving. Highly recommend Al Porto.

A friend of mine suggested this place and I am so happy that I listened to her advice. Food was delicious and it has a relaxing environment.

Great place over and over. Kind enough to prepare my wife’s favorite, puttanesca sauce, even though it was not on the menu.

It was an experience as always. The hospitality of the servers and the food quality was pretty good.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years and have rarely been disappointed. We always have the same individual (John) helping us with our dinner and wine selection. If ever our food is unsatisfactory, John fixes it up.

We wen to Al Porto for a celebration dinner and it was awesome! The staff were super accommodating and helpful, and the food was great.

I took my good friends out for lunch to Al Porto Ristorante. They were very impressed with the food, service and ambience of the restaurant. Both myself and members of the law firm I work at love this gem of a restaurant. We have been going there for years. It has the feeling of Italy and the food and people are fantastic. Thank you.

The food was quite good, however the service was painfully slow getting started...it took over an hour to even get people's drink orders placed. We expected to be there for a couple of hours at most and the entire evening was almost a 4-hour production. We came to this restaurant because it was recommended for groups, however they seemed very ill-equipped to handle our party of 14. Unfortunately, it did detract from the evening's festivities.

Had a great dinner at Al Porto! Their menu offers many choices for your guests. The scallops and prawns were delicious!

Al Porto is a Vancouver staple but it’s become dated. Underwhelming this time around and I used to love this restaurant!

We were nearly overcome by the waitress' perfume which was a real turn off right from the beginning. Someone must have spoken to her because it was only faint the next time we encountered her.
We had the chicken piccata which we have had before, but this chicken did not taste as good as before (the sauce seemed a little different), but the chicken seemed underdone. The vegetables, potatoes and ice cream were enjoyable.

The food was very average and for some in my party it was poor but the overall service was good. What was most odd was that someone from the restaurant called a few hours before our reservation and told me that they would not be able to accommodate us because the restaurant was filled to capacity even though we had a confirmed Open Table time. This person had a very heavy accent and the conversation was most frustrating, he could not understand that I had a conformation from several days earlier. I decided to go to the restaurant anyway for our confirmed time and we were promptly seated at a table. The restaurant had many, many open tables so it is even more perplexing. between that odd call and the food quality, I would avoid this restaurant.

Linguini needed more cook time, also it was pretty salty. Risotto from the aalmon dish could use a fewmore mins as well.

Just that the steak was not. Tasted like they boiled it, then kind put it in the pan and put some grill marks on it. The steak tasted bland.

I used to be a frequent lunch and dinner customer of Al Port but had not been there for a number of years because my job location changed. My guests suggested we go and it was as great as ever! So few things in life keep their high standards, but Al Porto did not disappoint.

Must make this a more frequent stop again.

Decided to check out this place for dine out Vancouver 2018. It is only worth it if you get the veal because then you are saving approx $8 off their dineout menu. I had the ceviche for an appie. It was fresh and refreshing. The veal was amazing. Mind you, this was my first time trying veal so I had nothing to compare it too. And the desserts were great (both the tiramisu and cheesecake). The seafood fettuccine my friend ordered was mediocre.

Simple items, like a mushroom bisque, made extraordinary. Seafood linguini with plenty of seafood and sauced wonderfully.

Great food . I am a very big consumer of linguini and clam sauce. The white clam sauce was quite possibly the best I have tasted.
My daughters loved the pizza and my wife really enjoyed her chicken cacciatore

We’ve tried many Italian restaurants and Al Porto is currently on the top of our list for quality and value.
Can’t wait to return and try some other delicious dishes on the menu.

Excellent meal and very good service. Their early hour dinner is a very good deal and the portions are very healthy. Would recommend this restaurant to friends without hesitation.

Sadly, while the ambiance and service were great, the food was mediocre.
