The spirit of Moroccan hospitality is our business and our heritage. Mohammed Chab, our uncle and previous director of the famous Hotel Mamounia, founded the first Al Fassia in Marrakech in 1987. Ten years later, our father Mustapha Chab brought his recipes and vision to the UK. We’ve been inviting diners to share in the warmth and soul of our restaurant ever since.
The food we serve is in the tradition of the historical cities of Morocco. Their simple recipes, glorified with herbs & spices, are cooked in four royal cities; Fez, Meknes, Marrakesh and Rabat.
Rest assured, dining with us at Al Fassia will be an experience unlike any you’ve ever had…
Exactly as a restaurant should be (but quite often aren't) - welcoming, with genuine warm service and delicious, authentic Moroccan cooking. So glad we chose this one of all the restaurants in Windsor.
Having read many 5 star positive reviews we were very much looking forward to our first visit to Al Fassia. Our initial experience having been seated in a delightful cosy setting in the upstairs area was very positive. Thereafter however it was rather disappointing. The pre dinner complementary food of olive nibbles were very sparse for the numbers in our party compared to what other restaurants of similar quality we frequent offer. Not sure if there was a misunderstanding with the waiter who initially was very friendly and helpful and accommodating one of our party with an alternative vegetarian option to the Al Fassia Special single choice menu we were offered. We would have preferred to have chosen from the ala carte menu but we were given to understand that only the Al Fassia Special menu would be available while we observed other guests choosing from the ala Carte menu. Considering we were a party of 6 covers the starters where again rather sparse and while the main course was plentiful albeit a little bland it was not what we would have chosen from the ala Carte menu. So regretfully we came away having had a disappointing experience that did not meet our expectations”
Food was superb, service to match.
The ambience needs improving, ie lighting, decor.
Good food and great friendly and helpful service.
Such good value. The food was outstanding and we thorughly enjoyed everything that we ordered
Best Moroccan food we have had outside of Morocco!
Cute restaurant serving delicious food.
Would recommend the meze starter and any tagine dish.
Service was also very good.
We had the house special and the food was fantastic. Shame there were only 3 couples dining but would highly recommend this restaurant for both service and cuisine. We also enjoyed the Moroccan beer and wine 👍
Great food, great service, great evening. We'll be coming back!
All set up for COVID19... as it was the last evening before lockdown the restaurant was busy, but having been past there before, it always seems to be busy... a good sign
Staff were lovely and friendly, helpful, explained the menu and the food.... mwah... sublime.
We will definitely be back... we had 2 meat eaters, 2 veggies and one of the meat eaters is diary intolerant.. we all ate heartily and everyone’s requirements were met.
Fabulous find and will become a regular haunt.
First time visitors from out of town, but we’ll be back for sure. Loved the authentic menu and the staff we very welcoming and friendly.
Absolutely fantastic!!! The food is exceptional and the staff are very friendly.
Our favourite place to eat in Windsor.
A little gem
Upstairs wonderfully Authentic feel
Authentic food, great service. Covid measures aren’t being adhered to.
We had a delicious meal and a lovely evening at Al Fassia. The ambience of thr restaurant was lovely and we had excellent service and highly enjoyed our meal (we ate vegan). We particularly loved the zaalouk- an aubergine dip with pitta, it was phenomenal! Highly recommend for a warm and welcoming evening eating delicious food.
What a wonderful experience! Great food from friendly staff in an authentic environment :)
Great food and lovely feel in the dining room. Very accommodating staff. A must goto in Windsor
Had a lovely time with the family at the restaurant. The manager made a brilliant effort to make us feel at home and welcome! Food was great and a special dish was made for the kids which was brilliant. Great place!
Al Fassia was excellent, as always. Great food, attentive service, basically a brilliant restaurant.
Another fantastic meal at Al Fassia, and wonderful hospitality.
Our experience at Al Fassia was as always most enjoyable.
Delicious food and friendly staff, would definitely recommend!
Lovely food and great service. Would definitely return again
Tasty, lovely service, knowledgeable staff. I asked for a recommendation for a vegetarian main and I was not disappointed.
If you're visiting or live in Windsor, i'd highly recommend Al Fassia
Lamb had good flavour but the chicken lacked flavour. Overpriced for what it was.
The food was excellent and well presented. The staff were great and interactive with the customers. Highly recommended.
I have been coming to this restaurant for about 8 years. It is consistently excellent. We often order the special for two which includes a selection of superb hot and cold starters and then 3 tagines for the main course. The lamb in particular is exceptional. The service was lovely and the house red is really delicious.
I been going to this restaurant for the passed 20 years and I have never been disappointed.👍👌
I would highly recommend this place if you love authentic Morocco food.
This is a small restaurant with basic furnishings but a big heart! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We gratefully accepted their advice on the starters and desserts we chose. They were yummy as was all the food. We had a Moroccan wine with the meal (a first) which was surprisingly good too. You never feel hurried and could be there all evening with after-meal drinks if you choose - people did just that. I would highly recommend Al Fassia to anyone and will book again when we next visit Windsor.
Good food and service - an authentic experience. Prices are reasonable though a meal for two with wine will likely set you back £80
Really enjoyed our evening. My husband is from Morocco so it was lovely to eat in a restaurant that reminded us of Morocco. Thankyou
Fast courteous service, good food and a good price
We visited during a short break in Windsor. Our host was very friendly and was careful to follow all Covid-19 regulations making us feel comfortable.
The food was amazing, especially the selection of cold starters. Would definitely go there again when in the area.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Quite exceptional combination of food and service. Excellent social distancing measures in place since it reopened. First time taking my 20 year son there although he’d enjoyed the lockdown takeaways. We had the Al Fassia salad for three of us and a couple of tagines and a filo pastry and seafood dish. Food as ever was subtly spiced, so flavoursome without being spicy hot. Service was as friendly as ever. Will definitely visit again soon.
Good food and friendly service. The price was good for what we got.
My family (including children 14 and 20) enjoyed a food a lot. Highly recommended.
This is a family owned restaurant which serves great food with fabulous service. If you haven't had Moroccan food before try it . This would definitely be the place to do it
Tagines were very good. Service friendly and efficient. The only quibble is that the beer is very expensive.
Delicious food! , would 100% recommend to visit. The Traditional Bastilla starter is amazing!
