In cattle country this steakhouse is the prime cut. Great service, great food.
They were absolutely fantastic!! They went above and beyond to make my boyfriend’s birthday so special. When I made the reservation I asked them to bring his favorite dessert pie (coconut cream pie) and they brought out not only that one but two other of his favorites in a grand plate decorated with happy birthday on it. It was also amazing that the hostess knew it from notes on the profile that it was his birthday and so she wished my boyfriend a happy birthday right as we walked in. They also offered us complimentary champagne as we sat down and started to look at the menu. The whole experience was amazing and my boyfriend felt so special. All this is not even mentioning the food which was also fantastic!
The food was amazing, the service was impeccable. Our first time here and we will definitely be back
Every dish is always delicious, everything they do is done very well.
The service, drinks and food are all incredible. I definitely recommend Al Biernat's for brunch.
Was not all it was cracked up to be by any means, especially at the dollar amount. Food was sent back twice. Overall, meh. Service was great!
We love this restaurant! We have come here twice for our anniversary and the staff is always top notch! From the host stand to the waiters we were treated with kindness and respect. Will definitely be back. Thanks to our waiter Brian for excellent service.
Al's is the best! Excellent food, service and value. They go above and beyond to make sure all guest are satisfied. One of the best restaurants in DFW. Would highly recommend coming for any occasion.
This fine restaurant never fails to impress. A large varied menu and great wine selection.
We usually come here for special occasions and with people from out of town. The food was excellent as usual. Instead of steak I had the red snapper which was unbelievable! Wonderful chef!! The guys had steak which was cooked perfectly and my girlfriend had the sea bass.
We had excellent service and can't say enough how we appreciate the fact that we can depend on our choices of food to always be perfect!
Once again, an outstanding experience. Michael is the best waiter in the game!
Can’t beat Al Biernat’s for service and food. Everything was awesome. We arrived a little early for a 6:30 reservation and were seated right away. It was a Thursday evening but still a busy place. The only drawback for us is as the night goes on and more people arrive, the noise level becomes so much that it was difficult to hear the people at your table. So if noise is a problem, go early. If not, Just go and enjoy.
The service was slower than usual but the restaurant was extremely busy.
Always love this place! We celebrated a birthday here.
I've been going back to Al Biernat's for several years and make it a point to go every time I am in town. Great food, extensive wine list and always spectacular service. Atmosphere is lively, but not so crazy where you can't enjoy table conversation. I would recommend to any one!
It's definitely a "scene" but has little ambience, is extremely crowded and loud. It's not a place we'd ever even try, but my husband had a gift card given to him by his employees a few years back so we decided to give it a try. They refused to honor the gift card (claiming it hadn't been issued, which is clearly not correct as we have it). So, if you like overpriced but really good steaks and sides in a loud environment, this may be your place. However, buyer beware on ever purchasing a gift card from them!
Excellent service and overall great time and great food.
OUTSTANDING! That says it all. From the moment we arrived to the last crumbs the service was Outstanding, the food Outstanding and the atmosphere Outstanding. If you haven't tried ...make it a MUST. One of our favorite restaurants of ALL TIME!
Overall it was, “ok.” We went for an anniversary lunch and the food took quite a while to come out and it wasn’t very busy. The burger had a very unusual flavor and they did offer to bring something else out but we had been there so long I really didn’t have much of an appetite so I paid $21 for a prime rib steak sandwich which I was able to eat about 2 bites of. I probably just ordered the wrong thing to be honest. I Probably wouldn’t go back during lunch but maybe for dinner. I was expecting some time of comp on the bill but it didn’t happen. I think 3 tables came, ate and left by the time we finally we’re able to check out and leave.
Loved everything from food to service !!!!
Are you here a lot and it was my boys 11th birthday and they treated him with style -as always
My wife and I went with my sister to celebrate her birthday at Sunday Brunch on April 4th.
The valet was very cordial when we drove up, opened the door for my wife and told us to have a great time.
We were greeted by the bar staff as we walked in. Since we were waiting for my sister, we both got a drink at the bar. Everyone seemed very happy, including the guests at the bar. One gentleman sitting there complimented on how great my wife's hair looked. We found out from the bartender, Reid, that he was a very sought after stylist in the Highland Park area, which made my wife even happier.
When my sister arrived, we went to the host stand where Tina greeted us, and Rene, one of the managers escorted us to our booth on the south side with a window that had great lighting.
Our waiter, Victor, greeted us right away and got us more drinks. Another manager, Miguel, made some suggestions for our entrees. After having crab cakes for an appetizer, my wife had the lobster tacos and scrambled eggs, and my sister and I had the carne asada scramble and a side of sausage links. Everything was prepared to the temperatures we asked, and the flavors were outstanding. While we were dining, another manager, Chris, came by to see how we were enjoying everything.
A we were leaving, we were thanked by several employees. It was a great experience. We just wish Al Biernat had been there to let him know what a great time we had.
Great food. Exceptional service. This is my “go to” place for a great meal!
My wife and I have not been to Al's in many years, so we were really excited to try it again. It was spectacular. Everything was great, food, service, ambience.
Mrs meal was very good se had a stake, I had the prime rib. I asked for med rare they gave mea butt end that was well done, mine was way over cooked.
The food and service were excellent. Our server, Gina, was friendly, efficient and helpful. Each entree, side dish, appetizer and dessert was superb. This is my favorite restaurant in Dallas.
Exceptional waitstaff, outstanding food and the presentation took me back to Italy.
Service was attentive and very good. Food spacing was perfect. A complimentary dessert of my choice was a nice touch!
Kewl. It's was kewl
Always an outstanding meal and great service.
We celebrated my daughters birthday again for the second year in a row! It's her go to! Excellent service, and funny and attentive staff! Great steaks, all cooked perfectly! Salads were great as is the famous lobster Mac and cheese! Love the ambience and desserts were great too! Can't wait to return!
Everything was well thought out and it was such a festive and delicious brunch. Satisfying portions - I didn’t eat another meal that day . Will definitely come back!
The food was amazing, and the bar area seemed to be having all the fun. We'll go back to hang out with the bar crowd next time.
We let the restaurant know we were coming in to dine for our anniversary when we made reservations, well in advance. We were seated at a very small table in a corner at the very back of the restaurant. We felt so uncomfortable that we asked if the empty table next to us was available. The server said yes and we could move to it. We were served water and a bread basket and our server took our drink order. Suddenly, the manager came to our table, insisting that we had to move for a party of ten that was coming in. He was not pleasant about it. We had already started our meal and were having a private conservation. We politely told him we did not wish to move again. Was he serious? He seemed very agitated that we wouldn't pick up my purse, our jackets, and water that we had already sipped and follow him to the front of the restaurant. There is no way in the world a party of ten would have been able to dine at that small table anyway. Maybe you have to be a regular patron to deserve common courtesy here? He came back with two half glasses of champagne and left them at our table without a word after being reminded that we were trying to celebrate a special occasion. I ordered the sea bass, and it was not fresh. It had an off taste and a very fishy odor. My husband tasted it and agreed, so I had soup and risotto for dinner. Our server never came back to ask how the food was or we would have sent it back. By the time he did come back, we were almost finished and ready to leave. Also, the bottle of wine was not left at our table, so it was impossible to have more wine when you wished. We noticed it was left at the table next to us. The whole thing was so upsetting and disappointing, and I really wish it had not been our anniversary celebration. There are too many lovely restaurants in Dallas to ever go back to Al Biernat's.
It was great
Great as always. Best place to take friends for our of town.
Great food, but rushed service. They wanted to turn our table so that's when I decided to order dessert and stay for awhile.
Service was excellent as always. Prime rib ordered medium came to the table rare oozing blood. It was so tough it was easier to rip it than cut it. I’ve had better at a Furr’s. The long rib steak was “oily and salty.” The scallops were average.
Nothing about this experience was worth the $400 I spent. Won’t be returning.
When my daughter first came to Dallas for college we had a list of steak houses to try. We stopped looking after coming to Al Biernats. It's always our first meal when we come to town to visit her. Best steak and service in Dallas!
A friend said I had to stop in and try the steak. It received a 100 from a food critique. I did and I wasn't disappointed. The steak was absolutely delicious. A must if you are a steak connoisseur.
