Staff was phenomenal and the food was out of this world.
I took clients for dinner. My $80 crab legs were worse than a Chinese buffet. They were sliced down the middle leaving nothing but stringy, shredded meat to contend with. The $90 bone in ribeye one of my guests ordered and billed as the best steak on the menu was unevenly cooked, little to no marbling, and just not good. Our server never asked how the meal was. The sides were under seasoned. Very disappointing for a $600 even with 4 people.
For appetizers we had the ste
Overall, the experience was great. It was our first time there, celebrating our anniversary. Both the hostess and waiter made my wife and I feel very welcome. The only thing we found odd was that we were given an unsolicited dessert that we were charged for. If we are going to be charged for a dessert, we would like the option to choose the dessert. We were brought coconut pie... my wife hates coconut. In the grand scheme of things, the pie was about 5% of the bill, pre-tip. Not a huge deal, just the principle of it all was a little off-putting. All things considering, we would recommend this restaurant and look forward to going back in the future.
The food and service never disappoints. Great place to people watch!
It was a super busy Saturday night due to SMU graduation. Reservation was at 7pm and were seated promptly. It was extremey loud and could not hear the person across the table but that is not resturants fault. I would advise the restaurant to please have the waiters/bus boys refrain from clearing the plates from the table until all members in the party are finished dining. I was left to finish my meal by myself while the others had plates cleared and were finished. Food was delicious! Resturant seemd a bit understaffed with waitstaff but could be that it was a jam packed evening with special occasions. Several times we had to pour our own champagne and wine. Overall, enjoyed the experience but would try to come back earlier in the evening when the noise level may be reduced.
Great ambiance and excellent food!
We were celebrating our youngest daughter’s College Graduation! It was an incredible evening! Our wait staff was amazing, the food was out of this world and the wine choice was perfect! So Biernat’s was the perfect choice for our family Celebration!
We had a great meal with wonderful service. Can’t wait for the next time.
Delicious! Never disappointed with a meal here - great service as well!
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend this restaurant
Very good service, bone-in filet cooked perfectly and nice wine list and recommendation. Second time here and hope to come back.
Had not been back for several years and it was not the fun time we enjoyed before. We were greeted nicely and when service started we were greeted by a waiter who said he would be our server. He asked if we wanted a drink to start and we said we would look over the wine list. Minutes later and a female waiter greeted us with a very similar greeting but it was if we were being down graded. No offence to the female waiter, just something did not feel right and we all discussed this the next day, as we all had that uneasiness. Food was still very good and again the female waiter was nice and efficient.
Joe was great!! Food always amazing. Coconut Pie INCREDIBLE
Excellent meal, my favorite restaurant in the Dallas area.
Had an excellent experience, probably best steak ever however the noise level when peak business was a little noisy for our little one but their customer service won her over, thank you!
Great as always. The service is very professional and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is great, the food is always great and there is something for everyone.
last time I dined at al berniate's, I visited your spring valley location as I live in
Plano and this was much more convenient. Decided to travel to Oak lawn this time as the
new location has a ways to go to compare.
Joe was great!!! Sides were lukewarm. My Steak was overdone. I’m used to perfect here. Very disappointing this time on Mother’s Day.
Disappointed with our service this time. Was our son's birthday and he ordered steak medium rare. It was delivered well done. We sent it back, the second time it came back mooing from the plate---very very rare. The waiter ignored us after he brought it back. Finally the manager came over and said he would sent it back, which he did, and comped it. While this was nice, everyone was finished eating so he ended up taking it home and trying to reheat it.
We've used this for special occasions for years and not sure if we would come back.
Enjoyable and Deliciously Devine 💕
I just love that restaurant! Great ambiance, unsurpassed customer service, elegant, good food, are some of the things that come to mind about Al Biernat’s. There’s something for everyone. I had the Seabass over spinach, while my son had the 12oz prime rib, and my mom the Lobster scramble. We were all very satisfied!
One small comment though, they could do a lot better with the mashed potatoes... People don’t necessarily like to add salt to their cooked meal. They were too bland. Having said that, they’re probably perfect for someone on a renal diet...
I will definitely go back again and again!
Don’t go for Mother’s Day. It was a zoo. It wasn’t indicative of Al Biernat’s food or service - and dining room was jam packed. The whole thing was icky.
We enjoyed our me for Mother’s Day. The food was delicious and the service was great.
A wonderful dining experience!!
Took Mother, Dale, to have prime rib for Mother’s Day. I had the carne asada - both of us continue to be overwhelmed with our experience. The carne asada was made with tenderloin. Jeff did an incredible job explaining everything to my mother so that she knew all of her options and even got to take some bread home - superb job Jeff!
Very good food and Martinis! Crab cakes and waygu carpaccio were amazing!
Not sure why it took us so long to find this restaurant. It is every bit as good as the reviews state.
We had a birthday dinner on a Saturday night, which was our first visit to Al Biernat's. We went because it was listed as one of the top 5 steakhouses in Dallas, and we have had friends rave about it. The amazing experience started with the highly polished checkin at the host stand, being whisked to a great table, and greeted by our very professional sever.
We were interested in wine and had questions. Our server had a great suggestion on this red blend that happened to be a special. It was truly outstanding and exactly what we were looking for. We started with martinis which were perfect. The wedge salad was exactly what you would expect, complete with nice big chunks of bleu cheese and bacon. I ordered the Chilean sea bass which was served on a bed of their lobster risotto. Both were amazing, however my only critique is that the risotto was so rich and VERY heavy with cream and butter that it probably could use less cream next time and still stand out. The fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly. My partner had the cowboy cut ribeye which was the best steak he's ever had. We ordered the wild mushrooms and the roasted Brussels sprouts for the sides, again both were fantastic. Finally, the dessert was a chocolate molten (perhaps flourless?) dessert with a scoop of raspberry ice cream. Absolutely outstanding, every bit of it.
This meal was very special and we were so impressed by the service, the food and everything. You know the restaurant is amazing when you watch them clear a table and set it, and then moments later a server comes by to adjust in the slightest the silverware and even the pleats on the side of the tablecloth. This is attention to detail and exudes the finest experience in dining.
Needless to say, all of this comes at a price, which was one of the most expensive meals I've every paid for. That being said, we will be back for another special occasion.
Mother’s Day weekend
Food was excellent.
Our server/sommelier Jeff did a stellar job, and the food was fantastic.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The noise level however was over the top and we were unable to hear each other across the table.
My only complaint is that someone on the staff was wearing eat too much scent. This is a problem in many restaurants. Patrons want to be able to appreciate the food and not have it overpowered by a staff's scent. Also perfume especially male perfume can cause me to have an asthma attack. The scent was not our waiter. She was excellent
The best meal I have had in Dallas!! We had the best server as well. Food was superb and the service was first rate and first class
Al Biernat’s is Always a great decision, great service, fine food & wine and an enjoyable and successful evening all around.
The food was good, but for the caliber and price.. not "MOUTH WATERING GREAT!". The service was great though.
We started off with the crab and corn chowder which was excellent. We ordered the sea bass which came with a lobster risotto. The risotto had more flavor and was better than the sea bass - but the sea bass was very good.
We ordered a filet mignon medium rare plus and it came out room temperature. I should have sent it back or said something, but didn't... it was mediocre to good.
Au Gratin Potatoes were next and were very good.
For the cost of the food, it's definitely overrated. Ruth Chris, Capital Grille and Bob's are definitely better. It was nice to try though - I always like variety.
Outstanding as always. A perfect place for an early Mother’s Day celebration with the entire family.
