Amazing...service and food were phenomenal
Waiter was very helpful & pleasant. Seats aren’t too close together. They gave my husband a small birthday dessert.
Great food, convenient location (within walking distance from my work location), and exceptional staff make this restaurant a big hit.
We were originally seated outside but there was a rude couple who were very loud. Our waiter understood our concern and sat us inside without any issues.
Joe Barbera was very attentive in asking about my food sensitivities and had the chef prepare the freshest scallops and spring risotto with no garlic or cream. Only Lupa has ever tried to make this level of effort to accommodate my Fodmap and lactose sensitivities. Normally I am navigating on my own.
The crispy sea bass was so delicious - I would definitely order on another visit. AIda has their fresh seafood down.
The waiter was very attentive. We were able to sit outside on a very lovely evening.
We made a reservation in the bar during happy hour. The waitress brought us water and menus and then it was a good 10 minutes before she showed up again. The bar or restaurant was not crowded. I could see the waitress in the back of the area behind the bar. She appeared to be eating - maybe it was her break. Once she did show up the service was fine. Food was so-so. I've had better bar food. Wine selection was good.
First time back to Aido Bistro in a couple of years. The service was excellent and the food was great (the crispy snapper special was beyond delicious). There was a slight problem with the wine we ordered, but our server took care of it promptly. My biggest complaint was the noise level - the acoustics are just a little off for quiet conversations over dinner. We'll definitely be returning.
We did the chefs table and had an amazing time. All of the staff was friendly and attentive. Joe the owner gave us a private tour and Correy the chef and his crew took great care of us. The food was delicious.
We had a marvelous experience at Aida’s today! I took my 95 year old father and 82 year old mother to lunch to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Aida made our celebration so special from accommodating our request to be seated in a quiet part of the restaurant to bringing my mother a complimentary dessert with “Best Wishes” piped in chocolate on the rim of the plate. Even the owner/manager stopped by our table to check in and to thank us for celebrating my mom’s special day with them. We will definitely return to Aida’s. Fantastic food and marvelous service.
Our server was great the creme brûlée was amazing.. I finally found a restaurant that actually knows how to make it!!
I used to love Aida a few years ago. Its seems to have gotten very pricey and the menu selections have become very limited. This latest experience was disappointing. Steak was not cooked as requested. The music selection was too loud and not a genre of music conducive to a relaxing dinner. Due to these and other issues, I find no reason to visit Aida in the future
Outstanding meal per usual, excellent wine and friendly service. This is an outstanding restaurant.
I don't want to bash this place because, truthfully it is a cool joint. I think maybe it was an off night. I should also start out by saying our server and the atmosphere were great. Our entree's were pretty good as well. The issue we had was with our appetizers and our wine flights. We ordered the cheese plate, a bread plate and a wine flight each. The cheese was terrible, cuts were taken directly from the rind with maybe 1-2 bites of edible cheese each. Not the best quality either. The bread plate consisted of 3 soft/warm bread sticks, baked with shaved parm cheese. Which is fine; however, they were served with a black bean hummus (which you don't normally see served with soft bread) and some extra shave parm cheese. Just seemed like an odd pairing. The wine flight was all tapped/keg wine and wasn't great. It consisted of a pinto gris, an oaked chardonnay and an rkatsiteli. Not sure how the rkatsiteli got put in that mix. Again, not all bad. We would go back, maybe for lunch to try again.
We have been going to AIDA for a long time. We enjoyed this visit very much. There were a couple of things that could have been better, but overall the selections were diverse and there were several in each course that were gluten free. The main courses that we selected seafood in tarragon cream sauce and short ribs bolognese, were delicious, generous and very well-prepared. He also loved his goat cheese salad and walnut carrot cake for dessert. I enjoyed a flight of red wine and each was unique and wines I had not had previously. Very nicely curated!
My quibbles are small. I had the grilled Ceasar salad which was tasty but tough. Needed a serrated edge knife to cut it and one was not provided. Or the chef could have cut through the base after grilling to allow easier cutting of the romaine leaves. That's my only food issue. The other was about ambience. On a Tuesday night, the dining room was VERY quiet and so we noticed the music being played, which was 60's British cover bands. They weren't very good and such a lovely dining room deserved something a little more sophisticated. Something instrumental?
Homemade flavor, great experience! I finally found a rich and flavorful italian sauce in Maryland. We all loved our dinner and experience.
Excellent experience. The service was excellent as was the food and the experience as a whole.
As always, excellent food, ambience and service from this HoCo gem.
We have not dined at Aida for years. There new location is great and the service is top notch. We loved the smaller portions too. See you next time!
I truly regret saying anything disparaging, because the food was excellent and our service was top notch. (Kudos to Boris). We just felt the tables were a bit too close together where we were seated, and we felt like we were seated with the couple next to us, rather than next to. Had we been at a table rather than the seating against the wall, it would have been a completely different experience.
Seriously though, the food and service are excellent and we will be coming back in the future.
Nothing great, food was good, a little over priced. Don't worry about what to wear, there were well dressed people and those in dirty jeans and old t-shirts. It would be nice to see a bit higher standards for attire.
This was an early Valentine’s Day dinner and our first time at AIDA. The service was great. Lots of options on the wine list. We had a starter and dessert with our dinner. We had a good time.
Here were the negatives: ridiculously small pour on a glass of overpriced wine. The waiter was nice enough to top off the pour when I complained. The fish of the day was somewhat bitter, and the sauce was cold and tasted bland. The crispy brussel sprouts were served with partially warmed feta was not good. Overpriced
The positives- can't think of any other than the waiter. Won't return
The food is lovely and just enough for me. But some of my friends with bigger appetites said the portions were small. Appetizers were good and could make up for some of that. Desserts too! Drinks are pricey!
Great place for a quiet dinner for a couple or to meet with long time friends. The ambiance was warm and the restaurant was well lit and the noise level was perfect
Everything was ok, just didn’t live up to the hype for me. All of the 2-top tables were awkwardly close to each another in a big line in the back where one seat at each is a very long booth. Restaurant was relatively empty and we were seated between the only other two couples in the restaurant. We could all basically participate in each others’ conversations since we were so close and it was so quiet. $18 cheese board was three tiny wedges of cheese with a few crackers, mustard, and about a tablespoon of pickled vegetables. Entrees were good but overpriced for what they were. Eggplant Parmesan was around $18 and my husband’s squash risotto (no meat) was around $26. Service was great; our server was very attentive and good with suggestions.
The service was spectacular and the food very nice.
I met up with a friend to celebrate our birthdays. We enjoyed the restaurant week menu. The short rib pot pie was amazing as was the creme brulee. An added treat for our birthday they brought out a cannoli to share. It was a lovely end to a great meal.
Great hospitality and ambiance!
Aida Bistro was amazing!! Appetizers, wine on tap, Entree’s, and best of all the service. My favorite restaurant and bar! Good people across the board!!
We were a party of 8 in for Restaurant Week. I and several others ordered off the RW menu. We also ordered several carafes of wine from their lists for "flight of three" offering. The wine was extremely good. The appetizers and entrees were very good. The desert was disappointing. (The tiramisu was over-soaked.) Dinner for 8 about $300. Five carafes about $220. Very enjoyable evening even with the loud ambiance.
Staff was warm and friendly however service was slow and frustrating. Food came quickly and was good with the exception of crab flatbread pizza which was served lukewarm
Here's another restaurant I decided to tryout during Howard County's Restaurant Week. AIDA offered 2
Lunch options: two courses for $17.19 or three courses for $20.19. I went with three courses and enjoyed each course. My first course a Grilled Polenta was pretty good. My second course their Grilled Salmon BLT Sandwich without the "B" Bacon was delicious. And last but not least was my third course White Chocolate Creme Burlee. The mini size was just enough to end my lunch dining experience. I can't forget my great waiter Boris. He provided useful food suggestions and amazing service. I will be back.
Boris was attentive yet let us talk business. Food was delicious!
Excellent way to start off restaurant week! it was an early lunch so no wine but both the food and the services was amazing.
Boris was excellent!
Serve was slow although the restaurant was not crowded. Asked for non-spicy sauce and was given spicy sauce so my dish had to be remade. Food is pricey and the portions are small. Extensive choice of wines.
Compared to previous visits, food was good but not as good as I expected.
I don’t know how the price ratings are determined, but two $$ is not representative of an actual dinner (maybe spaghetti and water, no bread, salad, or literally anything else. No way two adults with a beverage leave without spending $100+ with tip
The food was good and the service was excellent. We went for a late dinner so there were not many people which made it nice for us.
