In our opinion, the term Traditional does not only pertain to food. It applies to the way we do things, from conception to inception- how our concept evolves, how our team members interact with one another, and ultimately how it all translates to the customer's experience. To reach out to its broad spectrum of clients, Aicha uses a three-tier business approach that involves restaurant, take-out, retail and catering. It is also committed to its workers, the community and the environment. Through responsible business practices, Aicha will help set the standards for exceptional customer service, dynamic work environment coupled with environmentally friendly activities.

Aicha Ratings and Reviews
The food and ambience were great! It felt like a neighborhood café in Morocco. We ordered the chicken tagine with couscous, kefta kebab, vegetarian bastilla, and artichoke salad, as well as mint tea. We also had this fantastic rice pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious! Our server was also so kind and friendly, I think she might be one of the owners. It was a wonderful experience, I would definitely recommended it to anyone!
Went here due to reviews on Open table. When we got here, we were the only table and we almost had second thoughts. Glad we stayed. Great food at a great price. They don't serve alcohol but they had glasses and wine opener for us to open the wine that we brought with us. We'd definitely go back here again when we're in the area. I wouldn't call this a destination restaurant - but great if you're in the area and want a good meal at an inexpensive price. It's always easy to find expensive restaurants in SF - so glad that this one is on our radar.
Amazing moroccan food. Lots of choices, including vegetarian. There was a lot of food (good portion size!) and it all tasted good. The service was great. They work hard there. Food arrived hot, and plentiful. Servers happy to explain ingredients to those of us unfamiliar with some of the seasonings. Friendly fellow diners. The only reason there's one 4 star rating is because it did get a little noisy at times. We will definitely come back here. It's well priced, great food, excellent service. Delicious! Thank you to the chefs and staff.
We enjoyed dinner at Aicha/ it was a nice change of pace. The menu is a bit limited for those who don't eat lamb, but our dishes were very tastey. We had the chicken tagine and the chicken couscous. the ambiance is relaxed and feels very authentic - lots of tapestries and silver took us back to wonderful memories of Fez, and we'll be going again soon! (to Aicha:-)
This is my location of choice when I have friends or family visiting the city (especially vegetarians) and I want to show them a unique experience of San Francisco and Polk street.
The restaurant is small and not ostentatious. But every single time I've been here, the service has been fantastic, the food (I think I've tried everything on the menu at this point) has been delicious, hot, flavourful with high quality ingredients.
The mint green tea is a great way to relax into our meal, taking our time, and the staff honors opentable reservations reserving comfortable seats every time. I feel welcome.
We decided to try something different on our visit to SF, so we pick Aicha. It is a very small restaurant so if it's busy it may feel cramped. We were seated immediately and ordered the Basille (which was wonderful) and a variety of Couscous. All the food was delicious; our entrees came out at different times which was a little strange but we were okay with it. Service was decent.
We dined at 7pm. Quiet and 1/2 full atmosphere on a Sunday night. We had chicken bastilla and the olive combo for apps, split between the four of us. Great flavors. We had brought our own wine, which is customary and without charge. Our main courses were three tagines (lamb with peas & carrots, lamb with prunes and almonds, and chicken) and a chicken kebab. All were well-prepared and perfectly seasoned. This is not a large venue and we were able to talk easily at our table for four. A very enjoyable dining experience - we will be back!
Best, most authentic Maroccan menu - excellent flavor combinations within this type of cuisine. Lamb tagine with prunes is great, as is the Kefta...wow, that's good! And the trio of salads is such a great diversity. I go here most every work trip taken to San Francisco, and the pricing is the best, making it a true value - a rarity in San Francisco with it's questionable service record. Not to be missed! Bon Appétit!
We found this on Opentable. It was close to our hotel and the reviews were good. We were not disappointed. We loved everything we had- Zaalook, Lamb Kabob and the Royal Couscous. They do not serve alcohol, but we had been to Napa that day and just brought our own wine. They provided a corkscrew and glasses, perfect! The restaurant is a worn storefront. Don't be fooled by the simple setting, the food is great. We want to go back so we can try the lamb tangine.
This was my first time at Aicha. The food was outstanding. They had all the classic Moroccan dishes, used fresh ingredients and had friendly service. No alcohol is served but you can bring your own beer and wine. The decor is simple but the space is clean and inviting. I will go again.
A tasty dinner!
First night of vacation and we wanted to find something different. Aicha fit the bill.
We were greeted with a warm welcome and sat immediately.
We started with the chicken b'stilla, tasty & flaky. For mains, I had the Kefta Tagine, and my wife had the Chicken Tagine. Both were delicious and arrived quickly. The service was warm, fast and friendly.
Moroccan food is often hit and miss. This little place on the side of Nob Hill in San Francisco is unpretentious and welcoming. Our food was well prepared tasty. It is a BYOB place as they have no liquor license and seemingly no great desire to get one.
The bill was very fair and although the meal was nothing to write home about. It was very good and the bill went down easily too.
Our recent dinner at Aicha was excellent - we solicited recommendations from the server, and were quite impressed with those. We tried several appetizers, and all were top-notch, and generously portioned - I was pleasantly stuffed before I even got to the entree. The accompanying mint tea was very tasty as well. I will definitely be back!
Most of my positive reviews have to do with value - the money I spend should seem appropriate for the value received. Aicha provides that. The food is perfectly conceived based on the traditional menu and flavors. And it's one of those rare places where they make the food seem effortless, though the balance of spices is perfect. The Kefta is really great here. And so is the service. Bon Appétit!
I loved this place! The food was amazing and the staff were great. We were waited on by the owner and he really took pride in his place. Make sure to get the mint tea and chicken bastilla - both are heavenly! The lamb was the best I've ever had. Really, I can't say enough good things about here - just go try it yourself!
