So I chose Ai Sake Grill as a random date location based purely on reviews, so understandably I was unsure of what to expect. It doesnt look like much from the outside but once you walk in, the ambience is high quality and the service is excellent. I have no doubt we will be coming back here again.
Disappointing. Slow service and the restaurant wasn't even full. Rolls were pretty, but only a few were great.
I love this place. It’s like my second home. Food amazing, hospitality great.
I rarely eat sushi and I loved it. The food was very delicious! Will definitely return.
First time here and will definitely return. The freshest sushi I have had since moving here from CA. Staff was very pleasant.
Terrific find - sushi was fresh and delicious, nice ambiance, great service. Will definitely come back.
A great little sushi spot, reasonably priced and easy to get a table at. I often will pick this place for my birthday since it’s easy to get a big group seated.
Always a fantastic experience at Ai sushi! Kristy takes great care of you always!
Great service. Really pretty bar area where they prep the sushi. They have a great happy hour.
Great date location. When we arrived for our Saturday night reservation, Ai Sushi Sake was relatively empty, but by 8pm, the place was hoppin'. It was a very hot spot for birthday and bachelorette parties. The food was outstanding and the staff was friendly.
Overall great sushi, and there was a table available on Valentines Day!
Love their riceless rolls!
Very nice and friendly environment
Food was great and quick! Servers were very kind and attentive.
Very average food and very poor sevice. Sevice staffs very casual in approach!!! Like Chinese take away place atmosphere! Over rated for whatever reason.
The food was good, but the service left something to be desired. It took about 10 minutes after we were sat to receive menus and only after we waved someone down to ask for them. 4 of the 5 members of our party ordered drinks and a server brought over a beer and "cocktail" and just tried to hand it to someone without knowing what it was or who ordered it.
That said when I spilled my cocktail, they were very quick to help clean up and replaced it.
The eggrolls were great and each person thoroughly enjoyed their respective sushi rolls. Quiet place for a Saturday night on Cedar Springs.
Great experience and service! Smaller than I thought, but a great date night location. Really great bathrooms ;)
Said it was open for lunch til 2:30. Reservation at 2:00 accepted. Arrived at 1:50. Locked up!!
There were plenty of empty seats on a Saturday night, and the service was attentive and good in every way. The sushi was good, everything was fresh. Happy hour prices were good, and we were surprised to see them in effect on a Saturday. I didn't really think the roles were particularly amazing and would probably stick to plainer sushi next time. Overall, no complaints, and a good birthday meal.
This place looks nice, but had terrible service. We had a group of six and it took forever for everyone to get their order. We did not get ginger and wasabi, which I always get without having to ask for at other sushi places. When we did order it, we got one little serving and had to ask for more several times before they brought it. We specifically asked for separate checks, yet some of the rolls where placed on same plates, even though people who ordered it where at different ends of the table. Lastly our checks were incorrect and had to get them changed. I was disappointed with this place and will not be coming back.
We tried this restaurant before venturing down to see a show at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Very quick in and out. Great food. Quick access to downtown afterward. One caveat was that this was around 6 PM and the restaurant was rather empty at that time - which makes speed and service much better.
Amazing as always, Christy ways makes me feel like family!
This place never disappoints. Food is always delicious, fresh and creative.
Food was great, service was great.....overall, a wonderful experience! We will definitely return!!
Ai is one of my favorite restaurant experiences in Dallas! Christy always makes it perfect!
Christy and her team always provide a great experience, thank you!
The food was very good, but the service was terrible. Waiters don't know the menu. Food is late. Food was good but service not worth it.
The sushi and nigiri sake were great! Valet was convenient.
LOVE the Valentine roll!! Not a bad place.
We made reservations online for by Birthday dinner. We arrived and were confused on where to ask for a table. We stood there by the door for about 5 minutes while 4 staff members walked right past us. They never acknowledged us and we had to finally try to get their attention. We were sat next to an extremely loud and obnoxious table. The floors were dirty and sticky. Once all guests showed up, it seemed to take little time to get our drink orders in. Once it was time to order food, we needed refills and the waitress never offered or asked. The food took FOREVER to get to the table. The rolls did not look like they had advertised them on their website and the food did not come out together. A friend had her tuna tower long before we got our rolls. We had to keep asking for drink refills. We all agreed to never go here again. Oh! And we were never offered dessert.
Basic sushi restaurant- nothing new or creative- the tuna tower was great - fair prices - not a bad drop in for sushi spot -
Oishi kills the guys for same$$$
We love the sushi at Ai, but the service is always very slow. The waitress takes forever to bring our drinks and take our orders. The sushi we can always see sitting for 5 minutes after it has been made. They have some of the best rolls, but expect to be there for a bit.
Fresh and delicious. Great variety and service. Would eat there again. A bit pricey.
Food was fresh and good, service was a bit strange the minute we sat down we were asked for drinks and food before we ever opened a menu it seemed a bit neurotic and was off putting.
This is my favorite neighborhood sushi spot. Easy Parking, nice folks, amazing food -- love the riceless options!
My absolute favorite sushi spot in Dallas!! Great service, fresh food, good feeling place. Perfect for date or when I'm alone... never feel out of place.
Great food. Prices are a bit high but sushi was terrific.
FANTASTIC food and it was a quick turn around from the appetizer to the main course. We did not feel rushed and the service was wonderful! The staff is super friendly.
I love this place!! Have never had a bad experience. Be sure to get the French kiss roll w yellowtail! Yummm
Came here with my partner because we had a Groupon. Neither of us has been here before but we left without any complaints. We had the volcano roll which I very much enjoyed. We Also had the spicy tuna roll which wasn't bad, but had room for improvement. Overall we would return here if wanting sushi and were already in that neighborhood.
