I had a reservation at 7 pm but did not get seated until 7:30 pm. I was disappointed since it was my birtbday! What was the point of making a reservation? I even called twice during the week to confirm the reservation. Other than that dinner for a party of 9 was ok.
Made reservation on opentable, called to confirm that hibachi grill would available for my guest and myself. Upon arrival I was told that there was no room for my party at the hibachi grill and would have to eat at a regular table. Service was subsequently slow. Food was good but not great.
Never disappoints. Food excellent, portions generous and ask the chefs go out of their way to entertain
Sushi was good. Great buy one Get one free deal. The hibachi steak was chopped too small and was over cooked by the time it got to the table.
When we arrived, Ai Fuji was CLOSED, for nonpayment of taxes according to a notice on the front door. Shocking and disappointing.
The hibachi table was delish
My colleagues and I for a business luncheon. We were quickly seated and were able to have appetizers, an entrée , and a brief meeting all within a period of 1.5 hours. The expedited service during their lunch period enabled us to take care of business matters, have lunch and get back to the office within a reasonable time. In addition, the food was really good too.
CLOSED! This was one of our family favorites (with our young kids), but we just tried (on 2/25/17) to come for dinner and found it closed (turning into a Melting Pot, apparently).
Pros: Atmosphere was pretty nice and the place was quiet. Private seating areas were available which were definitely a plus.
Cons: Server wasn't too helpful and didn't understand English very well. The food was a little bit overpriced considering the quality of food. Shiki sushi which is across the street is a better bang-for-your-buck deal and the food tastes better there. Only plus side to Ai is the private rooms.
