Very good food, knowledgeable and attentive server and food was timely served. Very nice patio for outdoor dining.
Sat in the bar area for an early dinner. The service by the bar tender was outstanding!! The calamari was the best! Happy hour burgers were so good. Be careful of the margaritas, the pack a punch. It was a great experience.
Good quality overall with decent atmosphere and very attentive staff.
We had a very nice time at the dinner on Sunday (1/16/2022). Ben was a great waiter and we really enjoyed his attention and recomendations.
It was a peaceful and pleasant evening.
The worst dining experience in Tucson.
Wait staff didn't know what the soup of the day was. Took orders for entrees that were not available but added them to the bill as well as what was finally delivered.
Then there's the food. I had a flatiron steak that was less the supermarket quality. Tough and grisly. Remarkably dessert was good. Hard to screw up Creme brulee.
To top it off it's undeservedly expensive. $$$$
Salmon & steaks were excellent and cooked to perfection, sides and dessert were good, but not great.
Our group of 3 generations lived the selection of menu items, from casual to fine dining. Service was relaxed and friendly for our birthday celebration in the bar area.
Friendly, prompt and professional service. Decor was attractive and furniture was comfortable. Server knew the menu well and made some great suggestions. Paced well and each item plated nicely and tasty. Get the Calamari to start!!! We were a party of 4 and shared the crème brûlée and dark chocolate cake for dessert- would certainly do again. The crème brûlée was just as it should be and not messed up with other flavors. The chocolate cake was excellent with some fruits surprisingly added in - sooo good. Well done Augustine Team and thank you from this New Yorker!
Waitress was nice but it took a long time to get service and food. Steak was cold when finally delivered to table.
Great service , food and ambiance 😀
Friendly helpful server.
Seems kinda slow, even to bring out desert that does not need to be cooked.
We took out of town visitors for lunch. One of our guests has celiac and the menu provided her with many options. Kudos to this restaurant for making that option available! Server was most helpful!
We had a delicious lunch outside in the beautiful courtyard.
I love this restaurant. One of my favorites in Tucson.
Great way to end 2021 and look forward to 2022 by having a wonderful dining experience at Agustin Kitchen!
Excellent food, great attentive service.
Prices as expected for a quality dining experience, not. Overinflated, good portions.
We went here for New Year's Eve happy hour. Had the best martinis we've had in a long time. We actually had seats in the bar. We had great food off the bar menu, like the mussels, the charcuterie board and fresh oysters. But most of all, the service was excellent. I think our server's name was Tanya. Great job.
New Years Eve was so nice there. The staff is terrific. Wait or fantastic. Food perfect. We had a great time.
We come to Tuscon every December and always enjoy a meal here. The food is always beautifully plated, wonderful options healthy or not and delicious! Wine on tap is fun! Very attentive service without hovering. Recommend this place if you enjoy good food with a pretty and delight atmosphere!
We were a bit disappointed in a pasta dish that we had had previously. It was not as good as before. A couple of our party had the steak and said it was excellent. Our server was exceptionally good and we always enjoy the ambience of the restaurant. It will remain a favorite.
We asked for a special table for our anniversary but the couple seated at that table stayed long past their meal and would not leave. When they finally vacated the staff moved us quickly and were fabulous about it. Food was excellent and service special! So glad to have a fine dining restaurant in the Mercado!
Took quite long to get our main course. It was not served by our waiter so I asked to have our waiter get me a refill of my glass of wine and asked her to refill our water carafe, which had been empty for some time. She refilled the water carafe. We never saw our waiter until we were completely finished with out meal. She then asked if I still wanted my glass of wine. At this point I did not. She offered to ask her manager if he would comp. it. My answer was still no. Just the check, which came quite quickly, surprise. They were not busy, so no excuse there. Just POOR service.
Everything was great but it was a bit concerning that one of our servers was not wearing a mask.
Four of us went there and ordered 2 hamburgers and 2 medium rare steak frites. The burgers were a little soggy, but good. The steaks were very rare and bloody so we sent them back to be cooked a little longer. When they brought them back, they were still very rare and tough so we sent them back a second time. When they brought them back the third time, it was still bloody but tough. The margaritas and cheese board were excellent but skip the steak.
We loved our experience at Augustine. Food and service were excellent. We were a bit put off with the homeless people camped outside the entrance on the sidewalk. We may not come again…..reluctant to recommend to friends. Is there anything you can do about that?
Very enjoyable each and every visit.
Maybe time for a menu change.
They were not busy, and the waiter just made zero effort on getting us menus, drinks, and everything was “I only have two hands….” with service. Food was awesome and loved the patio…but wish I had gotten the jerk’s name so I could go back and avoid his section.
Service was super slow and irregular. First drink order took 20 minutes! Not up to the regular standard or expectations. Hopefully this was just an off night.
Ambience was excellent, waiter and staff very friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommended!
Fabulous meal and outstanding service. Plus, the restaurant was tastefully decorated for Christmas. Our previous fav restaurants had been Downtown Kitchen which closed during lockdown and will not reopen and Maynard's which we dined at recently and found very disappointing.
So, Augustin's Kitchen is our new go-to restaurant in Tucson. So glad we found it!
Unfortunately the steak was over cooked in 3 of our orders. We ordered them medium rare and the were brought out well done. After waiting another 15 minutes they brought out 3 new steaks of which 2 were again medium well. We cut our loses and just ate them anyway.
Very disappointed this visit. Usually I like this restaurant. Had a burger. Supposedly was to have sautéed onions but not on it. Bun rather old dry and crumbly. The shoestring fries were tepid and a bit soggy. And it cost $19. McDonald's would have been better
Took my friends here for dinner after they arrived from London, England expecting to enjoy a delicious meal. Although the food came out quickly, it was cold. Not even warm. Cold! The polenta I had was grainy and undercooked. Service was ok, but I can see why this restaurant is not as busy as it once was.
Nice outdoor patio with heaters made dining comfortable on a chilly evening. Somewhat limited menu. Steak frites included a generous portion of perfectly cooked meat, although accompanying fries and salad were uninspiring. Pleasant and attentive wait staff made for an easy and enjoyable dining experience.
I really want to like Augustin Kitchen. The ambiance is fantastic and the menu items look interesting. Unfortunately the food is consistently mediocre to awful. My first time, I actually had to send back the duck special because it was like rubber. The server acknowledged it had not been a favorite. Next time it was acceptable wine and appetizers that were almost as good as what you could buy at Trader Joe's. This last time, the expensive bread and butter/pesto plate had a 6" piece of baguette that was completely dried out and hard as a rock. I was there with a job candidate and was too embarrassed to say anything. The pasta was bland. When I asked for pepper to try to make it better, the waiter disappeared for 20 minutes. I didn't even bother to bring it home. This for a $30 chicken and pasta dish.
Over priced compared to similar restaurants in Tucson. Service was great until the end when we waited 15 minutes after signing the charges.
Great food, service, and atmosphere as always. Was entertaining business guests from out of the country and they all enjoyed it.
The food was better than during my last visit, when it was abysmal. So, at least there is a positive trajectory. Augustin is not what it used to be. Not much of a culinary ambition. Tasteless corporate beers on the menu, Barrio bread dropped from the menu, unimaginative cocktails that are oblivious to the location, nothing much that is distinctive to Tucson and the Southwest ... no attention to detail, ... Service was slow. Not as slow as last time when the beer we ordered never made it to the table. The ambience, which often has be quite pleasant in the past, was marred by annoyingly loud canned music.
I had the garden salad, and added the flank steak. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the salad had a great mix of vegtables and lettuce. Plus a perfect apple cider dressing.
We have always had excellent meals at Augustine whenever we are in town. This time the mark was missed at all levels. Our friends was visiting with us and we wanted to show them how great the restaurants are in Tucson Augustine being one of them. Our friends shrimp was raw, the calamari was chewy and had chili sauce on top. The flavors were just off. Hopefully this is due to the pandemic and things will get better. The wine was excellent however.
