Too much noise for 3 people to hear each other. Service was excellent until the only waiter had too many tables. Luckily we had made a time allotment for getting to the theatre. Food was excellent as always. Service people called us guys? Pronouns may need to be revisited? I was one of three very old women…elders from 80-91 years old. We don’t mind so much, but what if there were a person who didn’t appreciate “guys”? Either way, Saturday lunch May benefit by additional staff.

My wife and I spent last night on Dove Mountain and it was incredible. We could not get over how friendly and kind all the “kids” were. In other words under 35. Was one of a kind night. Asked for recommendations for downtown restaurants for the next night. Chauncey, a really good listener later slid a typed message under our room door with his favorite restaurant and things to see and do. We arrived downtown earlier today. Sooooo tonight we are at the Leo Kent in anticipation of a KebMo concert tomorrow evening. One of his highlighted recommendations was the Augustin Kitchen. We decided to follow the lead…. We were truly amazed with the friendliness and warm welcome from the owner Tanya. She checked on us a number of times even as we sat at the bar. Add Eddie and his bartending skills to this evening and it was just great!! He went way beyond to make a good night special. We left feeling like we had been treated like special guests…AMAZING. FIRST CLASS!!! Thank you!!

Restaurant Week possibly resulted in a busier evening than usual but the service was still good and the food was a good plus! I had the tasting menu. The 3 course for $45 was disappointing in that there was no choice. A good Caesar salad - a wonderful Cioppino and an average bowl of ice cream. However, my guests chose wisely from the normal menu and really enjoyed everything. Drinks were good and the ambience and layout helped to make it a special evening.

I had the Cioppino. It was ok but the tomato base overpowered the seafood. I would have liked a thinner base. But that’s just me. Otherwise everything was very good. I would still return.

Again, we tried the Summer Tasting Menu - and, again, we were not disappointed. The summer peach salad - well worth getting, the steak - perfectly done, the Arctic Char - extremely good - Crisp on the outside and soft and delicate (sear) on the inside, and an extraordinary sundae for dessert. All in all, three perfect courses for both of us.

Our first time at Agustin Kitchen and it was a wonderful experience. Food was excellent! It was a little confusing specific to the menu and determining what was appetizer versus full entree under the different categories, but all in all wonderful place, service, and the taste of each selected dish. Well, first, our server, Ana, was perfect and fast. Thank you, Ana. Predinner treats of bread and frites were delicious. On to the point: 3 in our party. Our host had a Beyond burger/frites and was very happy. Sad to say: My husband had the summer corn salad: all bland, boring w/ no flavor. He used salt/pepper THREE times w/o a rescue. I had the crab cakes......2 SMALL crab cakes....served on a dessert plate...covered in their slaw w/o much taste besides vinegar...which then totally hid any hope of tasting crab...no depth to the heat. We love food and love to eat and explore food. We were SO VERY DISAPPOINTED in the lack of taste in the food. We are not planning a return. BTW, a very confusing menu plan between the bar and dinner menus. The website says summer hours are 12-8.......but, can't get the dinner menu until 5 pm.

This was our second time here in a month. We LOVE this restaurant. There is nothing on this menu that isn’t amazing. You must order the Crudo. Order 2! Aside from the food being delicious, we’ve had amazing service. Both Justin and Alex are the best. They are super attentive and knowledgeable. I can’t wait to eat there again!!!

Service and ambience were excellent- great date night spot. Food was high quality but the dishes we got didn’t feel well thought out- the lions mane ragu was lacking in flavor and execution in our opinion and while the fish dish we had was executed well- the fish itself was cooked beautifully- the salsa they paired it with seemed like an afterthought, it didn’t add anything to the dish and felt out of place. We’ll be back to try other dishes.

Just love this place. Great staff, very attentive, but not overly solicitous. Devon is awesome and just super nice. I had the AK burger and my hubbie had the fish and chips both off the happy hour menu. Cooked perfectly, the ‘frites’ are just so good. Peach galette for desert with lovely vanilla ice cream. So yummy and really affordable with cocktails as well. Do miss this wonderful restaurant!

Nice atmosphere, we got forgotten after seated and waited 20 before we got someone’s attention. Once service started they were very apologetic and it was great. The summer peach salad was lovely. We had the crab cakes, the slaw on top was heavy with mayonnaise and unnecessary. The cakes underneath were good The delightful coconut dessert was very yummy.

Good music. The waiter Ben was really nice. It was about as expensive as I would have expected for the restaurant I would say about $$$ or a cheaper than most expensive restaurants. Decent options for kids, they were able to enjoy as well. Our table just ordered wine, but it looked like there was a full service bar.

This is a great place for if you are not too hungry and want delicate and delicious food. We had the Calamari Salad and the Crab Cakes. Both were outstanding, though the arugula needed more vinaigrette- just a little more so it was not too dry. The sauce on the crab cakes was fantastic. The peach desert was very tasty and the expresso ice cream very yummy. The cocktail was competently made but the wine was a little warm. When ordering I felt the menu to be too sparse. The price was slightly high and the food portions slightly too small. The service was adequate and prompt. They gave us a very nice table and were attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to people looking for a light meal with a fun atmosphere.

My wife and I went to Agustin Kitchen to try the Summer Tasting Menu. Wonderful food, wonderful wait staff ... a good evening out, and not too expensive. The chef's preparations are well thought out and well executed. My wife had the Summer Peach Salad, followed by Arctic Char, and ending with the Painkiller sundae. I had the Forest Mushroom warm salad (really good) and New York Strip Steak - grilled with Cherry wine jus - (large cut of meat and perfectly prepared) and I, too, had the Painkiller Sundae. If you decide to dine on a Monday or Tuesday, Ask for Tanya - She is a true gem to have as wait staff. She is knowledgeable, helpful, and an excellent person who makes your dining experience ... perfect! We will be back soon to try other items on the Summer Tasting Menu - as what we sampled last night were both creative and delicious. Good surprise for a spontaneous evening out. Thanks Agustin and your excellent staff.

Our iced tea drinks or water glasses were not refilled. Usually done at most restaurants. I felt the brunch menu limited but workable. I’m not anticipating a return to this restaurant in the near future. Ambiance was very nice.

The Chicken Salad Sandwich - with paprika roasted chicken, avocado, lettuce and red grapes - was delicious and the Austin Eastciders - Original Dry Cider hit the spot after a round of golf on a hot afternoon. Great food and good service in a comfortable space is a winning combination.

Ben took great care of us as our server for my birthday dinner and did such an amazing job with menu recommendations and personalized service! He truly did a great job and the food was SO excellent and delicious. Everything was great, this place should be way more busy than it was! Weather was beautiful for outdoor seating and patio was wonderful. Inside was really clean and pretty as well.
