The crab cakes are tender, creamy and beyond belief. The oysters were as fresh as if they'd been harvested in Tucson! Wait staff was super-friendly and really helpful. I will be back...

We went for Sunday brunch. We had a reservation, but when we arrived at 12:45 there were plenty of empty tables. The waiter was attentive and efficient. Drinks were good (Bloody Mary's). Food was good; not exceptional. I did find it laughable that their "petite hash browns" that came with the Eggs Benedict are actually tater tots. Had I known, I would have ordered something else. Overall, a pleasant but not memorable experience.

We started with the delicious barrio bread and salmon rillette and then had steak and crab cakes. Everything was tasty and well prepared. While everything, including drinks, did reach us (we were sitting outside) the waitstaff was nice but not very attentive.

Our food was delicious but I felt the menus was very limited. Other than fish and seafood there were not a lot of regular meat choices. 1 each chicken, beef or pork. Not a lot of appetizer options. My daughter who loves a starter ended up with bread. Again seemed like more seafood choices. I know that the menu changes and I love that. The atmosphere is really nice. Our reservation was at 8:00p, close to closing and hostess began taking candles off the table including ours. It gave us the impression we needed to hurry up. It’s an expensive place to feel hurried. I’m gluten intolerant and not a lot of GF offerings. I would go there again but would want to know the menu offerings.

Restaurant was beautiful but the host was not welcoming at all. When we came in she didn’t make eye contact, she had her hands crossed and didn’t even say hello… The host is supposed to make the customers feel welcomed and that made me very unwelcome when I sat down. This is a nice restaurant so I expect that ALL service is good. Not to mention, she broke like two glasses and didn’t care.. hope she had a better day. Our food and service overall was great. My mom was happy and we enjoyed our meal and the company.

The food was unseasoned and the menu very limited. Server had no idea if there were any specials he then informed us it was shrimp cocktail served cold. We thought Mother’s Day was a little more special than shrimp cocktail

Really disappointing experience for Mother's Day. We had a 2:15 reservation and got there at 2:20. We sat outside and no one came over to the table for 10 minutes. My dad had to go over and get someone. He apologized and told us he didn't realize we were there. He brought us waters and asked for our drink order and told us we should order because the kitchen was closing for brunch at 3PM. I was surprised given it was mother's day. We told him we would order after he brought our drinks and we had a minute to review. He came back and we ordered two lobster rolls and fish and chips. He then told us, sorry we're out of Lobster. He apologized profusely. As someone in the hospitality business I just don't understand how you run out at 2PM of something that you know is going to be popular. I ordered the blood orange salad as it was really the only other thing I could eat. When it showed up it was like an appetizer plate. It was tiny. This restaurant used to be my favorite when I first moved her in 2018 and since Covid it has been a disappointment. I don't mind spending money on a great meal and experience but this was not it. There was gross lettuce on the floor at the table we sat. There were dirty dishes left outside on other tables. Sadly I would not recommend this restaurant any longer.

We had a post-show (so late) reservation on the Saturday evening before Mother's Day...which was also U of A graduation weekend. Our show ran long, so I called the restaurant at intermission (8:30) to see if they could push the reservation any later. Tucson is an early closure town so I was surprised to even have gotten a 9:00. When they said they could seat us at 9:30, I was thrilled. So accommodating! Grateful for that, we arrived at 9:30 (still had to leave the show early), and were seated outside (our ask) on this beautiful evening. Feeling both hungry and fortunate, we sat down to look at the menu. Made choices (two vegetarians and one omnivore) from a short but nice menu. One of our chose appetizers was out (no surprise given the hour), and the waiter suggested an alternative. The suggestion was appreciate and the dish was delicious (sautéed and seasoned mushrooms with grilled bread). He made a point of asking if we wanted the egg that is served with the dish -- nice, because we did not ;)). Followed that with a calamari salad for the omnivore, and my husband and I shared the mushroom bolognese. That was delicious! Served on the lightest polenta I think I've ever had. It was late, so didn't do dessert...

The white wine was warm. I requested another colder glass and the waiter asked if I just wanted to place some ice cubes in it. I said no, I'd like another glass that is not warm and he brought me back the same glass at the same temperature after taking it away for a few minutes. The calamari in the "crispy calamari salad" was over battered and mushy. Not crispy at all. The mussels were the only really good thing we had. The desserts were about a 7 out of 10. Everything was overpriced for what you got and the waiter seemed like we were bothering him and we should go at his pace when ordering.

I have never given a restaurant a 5 star rating but this one definitely deserves it. If there was a 6, I would have given them a 6! We have dined in the finest restaurants across the country and in Europe and I have to say this ranks right up there. We started with the oysters that were shucked perfectly and fresh as can be. The mignonette was amazing. I usually never dress my oysters in that as most of the time it’s tasteless. There was an herb in the sauce that packed so much flavor and paired perfectly with the oysters. The bread was amazing and the olives were simple and fresh tossed with herbs. For the second course we shared the Forest Mushroom and the Wild Lions Mane Ragu. The Forest Mushroom with the Madeira Butter combined with the soft boiled egg was delicious. The Ragu had the perfect amount of spice but the polenta was probably the best I’ve ever had. So creamy and cooked to perfection. Craft cocktails were great too. Hats off to the chef and the staff for one of the best meals we have ever had! Unfortunately we couldn’t get to the main courses as we ate too many starters but we can’t wait to go back and try them!

The good: The happy hour burger was delicious and perfectly prepared. The accompanying fries were equally good and I ate every last one. The IPA was hoppy and cloudy, pretty perfect. The wait staff was amazing. Food came out promptly as did the check. The not so good: The hostess staff was not welcoming at all, confused about my reservation, and borderline just rude. The Caesar salad may have been the least tasty salad I had ever eaten. It needed some dressing that you could actually taste. And, please, remove the romaine with the red edges that is going bad. I have eaten at this restaurant perhaps a hundred times. When it is great it is really great (especially in the Iron Chef days). But all too often it misses the mark.

This is a great place to take someone for a business meal or a romantic dinner. The ambience is fantastic, tends to wow guests who haven’t been there before. Their food menu is unique- I had this wild mushroom appetizer as a meal and I hadn’t had anything like that before and absolutely loved it. I think their desserts were great too though their chocolate cake could be more moist- I have had better. Service was impeccable, noise levels just right to make you feel like you are in a hopping place but low enough for you to have a great conversation. What I loved the most was we were the last people there and I think we went a little past their closing time but not once did they make us feel like it was time to go. Everyone was so well-mannered and holding up the customer service quality one was used to before the pandemic. I would go back there because they made me feel good about dining out.

This was a mixed bag dining experience. Our server was inattentive and his clothes were dirty. I received a taste of the Sauvignon Blanc which I accepted. Then server forgot to bring it to me and I had to ask another server to let our server know and deliver. I had the crab cake which were suburb . My husband had the chicken that was under seasoned and bok Choi was over cooked. We were on a time schedule to the Fox so he couldn’t send it back. The best thing for dinner was the Barrio bread. We will return and see what we think in the future.

The menu selections weee odd. My wife had the steak and it was a steak. I had the ragú polenta and the polenta was good. The ragú part was overwhelming. The bread was good, but cost $9 which is a bit much. The waiter was a nice guy but needed help.

Agustin KitchenResponded on April 17, 2023Thanks for taking the time to let us know of our most recent experience Jeffrey, I apologize it wasn't one which exceeded your expectations. You're absolutely right, we source our bread from James Beard award winning baker at Barrio Bread, it is to my knowledge the highest quality bread available in Tucson, and is pricey on our end as well, though we feel very worth it for the quality. If you're open to coming back, please ask for me at arrival, my name is Justin and I'm the GM. Thanks Jeffrey.

We had been here before for a great dinner years back and decided to try their Sunday brunch. We ordered a caramelized onion spread with rustic bread, mimosas, a crab omelet, a salad with pecans, goat cheese and added shrimp. The mimosa was at room temperature. The appetizer spread had little to no flavor and the bread was a bit over toasted. The salad also arrived at room temperature, the few pecans too finely chopped to enjoy, and just 4 medium shrimp. I should have asked for dressing on the side at it was drenched. The crab omelette lacked definite flavor, so was bland, and served with a commercial brand spoonful of tater tots. Just so disappointed, especially as it was Easter Sunday. The server greeted us warmly but never checked in with us and seemed to avoid our attempts to get him back to the table. It was not crowded. Not enough value: $80 for this disappointment.

Very disappointed in our food and the server. Feel free to call for more details. First he did not know what the NA cocktail of the day was and even after he served us two, he could not tell us for sure what was in them. The “petite hash browns” were nothing more than mass produced tater tots. Really? The Hollandaise sauce on my wife’s dish was orange! And my chicken salad had a huge wedge of lettuce on the bottom which left room for maybe 2 tablespoons of chicken salad. It should never have left the kitchen like that. What happened? The food and service was much better in the past. Sad.

Agustin KitchenResponded on April 17, 2023Hi Madison, I'm sorry your experience with us left you not feeling great. Our Petite hashbrowns are absolutely tater tots, we have a little fun with our menu descriptions from time to time, our Hollandaise sauce is made with paprika which adds a contrast to the color. I'm sorry that wasn't received well. Either way, we never like it when we don't knock it out of the park. Please ask for me upon next arrival, Id like to show you why our overall review on OpenTable sits at a steady 4.3 and above.
