The evening was so disappointing compared to other dinners at the kitchen. After ordering and waiting over an hour for entrees the manager came to the table and said that they had no halibut left as they had served to to a large party that had arrived well after us and that we would have to put In an order for something else. The menu selections have significantly been reduced and the other two food items that I could have they were also out of leaving me with the option for a side dinner salad. Our guests were from out of town and it was a poor experience. The wine selections were also unavailable. We were told that we could order cocktails. We do red wine with dinner. So not an option An apology was offered by the manager but no other accommodation. We had another 40 minute wait for the entrees to be served. So very disappointed

The mussels sat around before they were served so they were room temperature as were the fries. Other persons food was steaming hot so I guess mine sat around waiting for it. The olive appetizer took 10 minutes to come out and had tho ask for it. The restaurant was not crowded. Also very little sauce for the mussels. Had to ask for bowl for the shells. Maybe return in another 6-8 months. Maybe a year.

We enjoyed our dinner at Agustin Kitchen. Our waiter was attentive and was able to explain the philosophy behind the menu. The Barrio Bread and Olives appetizers were delicious. My wife ordered the New York Strip and it was prepared well. The steak tasted great and the presentation was excellent. I ordered the pasta dish, and while it was good, I could go anywhere to get a bowl of pasta. The presentation was just plain. It tasted good and the sausage integrated into the pasta added a nice texture, but it did not evoke a "wow" when it arrived. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Agustin Kitchen and will go back again.

The menu seemed to be limited on first glance but, realizing the items are locally-sourced, it was more than satisfactory. We were a table of four and every single food item was delicious. Clearly, a lot of attention goes into making sure the ingredients are highlighted and celebrated. The serving staff were knowledgeable and able to make suggestions when asked. The atmosphere was all one could expect from a fine dining experience - gleaming wine glasses; soft lighting; comfortable seating; and professional staff. Altogether, a lovely evening.

Stopped in for lunch with my sister. Got seated right away. Ordered fish and chips. Chips and fish 8 of 10. House white wine which was a pinot greige was excellent and amount was reasonable for cost. Wait staff excellent. A bit pricy but would return, just not on a regular basis.

Overpriced for turkey or ham buffet. $85.00 each for the meal plus 20 percent gratuity automatically added plus tax. Total bill was $218.00 for two people. I know Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant can be expensive but I would have expected $50.00 to $60.00 per person. Unless I missed it, there was no indication in advance that the meal was a buffet or the cost.

We Went to Agustin Kitchen for Thanksgiving. We had eaten there for lunch a few years ago and the adventure was good. When we arrived, we were shown to our table and drinks were ordered, which was all good. What caught us off guard was that dinner was a buffet, and not plated. So we accepted that, and dinner was good. We noticed that there was no menu or what the cost was except for drinks. When dinner was over, and we asked for our bill, this is where the surprise came in followed by sticker shock. The dinner was 85.00 a piece followed by a mandatory 20% gratuity, which without taxes and drinks, was $204.00. Remember this was for a buffet. To say the least, we will not be going back.

Thanksgiving dinner. My only issue we came from out of town for Thanksgiving, and the was not a posted special menu or cost. The only option was a buffet which was fine. We just didn’t know what our options were before the reservation

Four of us had dinner on Day 1 of a new menu so it wasn't what I saw online. I was disappointed because I have food allergies and had already planned on what to order. The menu was completely different and didn't look promising until David, the Executive Chef, came over to explain how he could modify a dish to satisfy my needs and wants. All of our dishes were delicious, and we will definitely be returning! Congratulations on a great menu!

What I would like to have different: 1) more than just tobasco sauce offered 2) ask us if we'd like bread when we sit down 3) have barrio/bread available all day and also as a substitute for sour dough that normally is served with the sandwiches, etc.

We had reservations at 5:30 and finally got our food just before 6:30. The wait seemed exceptionally long. The menu was limited as they were switching over, so there weren’t any desserts to really order. The noise level was loud as stated in other reviews I have read.

We had lunch at Agustin Kitchen on a Friday. The area is just beautiful and there several restaurants and shops surrounding an open courtyard. We chose to eat outside as it was a lovely fall day. The service was very good given that they were short both a hostess and a server. Our waiter was attentive, but it was obvious that they were short handed. We ordered the little neck clams and the wonderful Barrio bread. The clams had a luscious tomato broth that we sopped up with our warm, crusty bread. It was a great experience and we will definitely go back.

Ostensibly a fine dining experience, Agustin Kitchen falls sadly short of the mark. My main complaints are temporal and acoustic; it took at least five minutes from sitting down to get water, another 15 to get a drink (on a semi-busy night, but they didn't seem slammed). All the while, one has to practically shout to be heard over the echoing din of one's fellow diners, as the dining room is unbroken by walls and unmuffled by strategically placed panels or draperies. It was unpleasantly noisy, and the seating was uncomfortable. As for food, the calamari was outstanding, 10/10, but the beef tenderloin was so-so, and the confit salad a disappointment. While our server was an absolute dear, she struggled to open a bottle of wine for a solid 150 seconds whilst my father and I traded awkward looks; when she got it open, she then spilled it each time she poured. Perhaps it was nerves, Lord knows I'm not the sort to make a fuss about that in the moment, but it is in keeping with the general shabbiness, the lack of savoir-faire and polish that makes Agustin Kitchen simply not worth the money. With prices that high, the experience should be more refined, more rarefied.... or at the very least more comfortable. For fine dining in Tucson, go to Kingfisher or Maynard's. This place just isn't worth it.

This used to be a great restaurant but this time everything was bad. Pork chop so dry and salmon tasted old and overcooked. Dessert was a fruit crumble with no fruit only dried cranberries and was left uneaten. Very dissatisfied especially because we brought an out of town guest.

The food was delicious and we had a great server. My only tiny complaint or “observation” is that the drink I ordered (margarita), even though it was delicious, can in a small glass mostly filled with ice. 3 or 4 sips and it was empty. I will say that the wine that the rest of my coup order was very good. Highly recommend.

Three out of three tenderloins were raw. The chipotle sauce was awful. The pork tenderloin special was undercooked and very pink. Two dead flys were found in a glass of red wine the waiters response was to wave his hands and ask what he was supposed to do about it. We had to ask for salt and pepper three times. Dessert was served without utensils and when we asked for them he was surprised we wanted a fork to eat cake. Aside from the difficulties service was very slow. Definitely not worth the money we paid for an inedible dinner. There are far better restaurants in town. We will never return Augustin Kitchen.

Our server was awful. She really took away from the 350 dollar meal for our anniversary. She loudly popped the cork of the bottle of champagne and proceeded to pour into white wine glasses and let it foam over. Didn't offer a tasting before just pouring. Our bread and salads took 25 minutes to come even though the restaurant was not bust. Our entrées came 10 minutes later. I had to hunt down another server to package our leftovers and give us dessert menus. The server was a huge letdown, even though the food was amazing. We won't be coming back.
