Beautiful little restaurant in Guerneville. We were there between storms, so it was very quiet for a Saturday night. Felt like we were on vacation with the cabin type architecture and the beautiful grounds. Tim, our server, was outstanding and even had a spare set of reading glasses for one of our party that forgot theirs. Food was amazing and I would definitely go back.
There is also a small Inn attached with small cabins and bungalows, so we might just make a weekend out of it!
The restaurant was great for a weekend getaway, very romantic. Great atmosphere, the hanger 24 steak was too good, it was amazing.
Great food from salad to entree (half chicken) with light, subtle and flavorful sauces/seasoning. The staff was friendly and attentive and the owner introduced himself and gave us a map of the area with winery recommendations highlighted. We’ll look forward to going back!
We always have a wonderful time at Agriculture Public House in Guerneville! The lodge is grand and gorgeous and yet somehow still it's cozy and toasty warm. The food and cocktails are consistently great and the friendly staff and adorable owner always make us feel so very welcome. We highly recommend Agriculture Public House to anyone for any occasion!
What a lovely surprise this was! Service as very warm and accommodating. Food was delicious and cocktails were creative+tasty! Very mellow but elegant atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
Overall good dining experience. We both had braised pork and it was a little salty but overall a nice dish. Our server was friendly but somewhat clueless, and unapologetically so. Would disappear for long periods. We asked about the sorbet flavors and he looked pained and shook his head. We asked for confirmation and he said there was none. Then after checking with the chef on another dessert he reported there were two flavors of sorbet. I think he didn’t understand what we meant (he later pronounced it sore-BETS) but should have asked for more info rather than saying “no”. If he was new he should’ve been presented that way and we’d cut him more slack. The rest of the staff was quite helpful.
This place was amazing to go to on my birthday! I got the beet salad which was so tasty. I also got the cod - amazing flavor.
We would definitely come back.
I never saw so much fried and unhealthy food on a “farm to table” menu.
Honestly, I did not have very high hopes for Agriculture Public House. When we arrived, at 7 pm on a Friday night, there were hardly any patrons. It is not a big restaurant and there were only about half the outside tables seated and very few inside. Our server was very attentive and gave excellent recommendations. The wine selection was quite good and the food delicious, fresh and well-presented. We will definitely add Agriculture to our Guerneville dining list.
This restaurant tries to come across as an upscale, gourmet establishment.
Well, they failed badly. Their overpriced food was just plain and ordinary. Very disappointed.
The servers were fine....no qualms with them.
I feel cheated.
I usually eat at Agriculture two or three times during the summer and have always had a great experience. I’m not sure if they were overwhelmed on Saturday or have had trouble hiring this summer but the service was atrocious. My server did not seem to know the menu nor able to keep track of what I ordered. After an unreasonably long wait, I was able to put in my order for an appetizer and a glass of wine. There was no discussion of entree and because of the obvious lack of experience my server had, there was no discussion of the menu in general. When my appetizer came, I was forced to inquire as to when I should order my entree. After having ordered the Cod, the server returned 10 minutes later to tell me that the Chicken entree required 25 minutes - the server was a little surprised when I noted that I had ordered the Cod - an interesting side note is that the gentleman two seats down did not appear to ever have been informed that the chicken takes 25 minutes as he was a little agitated when asked if he needed anything. That said, I will try again and hope that service improves as they obviously have no hiring problem in the kitchen as the Calamari for an appetizer and Cod for an entree were top notch. Another sad thing, wine pour was as stingy as I’ve ever seen. Will have Beer the next go around.
Sadly, this is a place that may have been ok at one point but is now a forgotten, has-been. The menu is tired and overpriced (no way there is a $50 steak in that kitchen); the salad lettuce had brown edges, the dressing was like water, the stuffed peppers were soupy, the pasta was like something kids would make? It was a pathetic offering.
The table service is substandard and ludicrous, the place is dirty and so was our waitress with chewed off nail polish. She was inept as was the bartender who seemed like they were just there to finish off whatever was left so they could close down? It had that feeling.
A total of five tables were dining and four waitresses (including the inept, poorly groomed woman, the clueless bartender, the hostess and some other woman from the kitchen).... and they were still confused.
They couldn’t even get silverware on the table in time for the meal and stacked our dirty plates on a clean table to serve the next course, and left them there for the hostess to clear as she brought the next people to the table? Really? It went on and on... it was like being in a comic play of ridiculous restaurant behavior... you should be glad we have no pictures.....
It could be great but is Idiotic.
Will not be returning....
understaffed and overwhelmed server... food was delicious and setting is lovely, but the lack of service was disappointing
The biggest negative was the service which clouded the evening. We were seated but not approached by anyone for at least 45min when we ask the hostess to get us a server. That was for a drink and then we had to ask the hostess once more to get us a server to take our dinner order.
The food was good but not great and we didn't stay for dessert as we'd been there such a long time
this is the 3rd time we all ate here, as the food was really good. All of us were quite happy with what we ordered.
Took my honey out have a nice dinner and he was very impressed with the place I picked. He usually takes me out which is always somewhere fancy. We will be back for sure. The food was outstanding and so was the service.
This is a lovely and romantic spot in the funky town of Guerneville, CA. We sat outdoors overlooking the pool with the wisteria vines covering the rail. The staff were attentive while not being intrusive. We enjoyed our kale salad with blood orange and the amount of dressing was just right. The pork chop was moist and perfectly cooked with a tasty cherry preserve garnish. The mashed potatoes were creamy and happily not laced with garlic as often is overworked. The dessert galette of blueberry and rhubarb was the perfect finish. The restaurant choices in this town are otherwise pedestrian -- basically bar food. This restaurant apparently hosts weddings and other events. I wish them much success so that this location can boast about having at least one restaurant suitable for foodies.

Fried St. Mary's Chicken was definitely something to die for! OMG. So juicy and tender and flavorful. I will definitely go back for more of the chicken!

One of Guerneville, CA better restaurants. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Personally, the muscles were quite good and abundant. Salad was excellent. Are reasonable about brining a favorite bottle to dinner though, this evening, we enjoyed the 2016 Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc, which is generally hard to find and reasonably priced.
The meal was just OK for the price.
We were very impressed to the point of whereby our expectations were easily exceeded. The wine list is very reasonably priced and the execution in the kitchen was skillful. We had a PEI mussels appetizer, and the mussels themselves were about as moist and well cooked as we ever had experienced. The service was friendly and professional, the ambience is reminiscent of a country lodge. We will put this on the go-to list for future dining.

We were staying for the weekend and found this place. Love the family style options and the food was really good. The ribeye was very flavorful and the biscuits were amazing!! We would definitely go back to eat there the next time we are in town.
The very best food and service on or ear the Russian River. The menu showed creativity and was well eSecured. Presentation and preparation were flawless. Out server, Andrew, was very professional and well informed. His suggestions were helpful as well as accurate. The dining room was quiet and conversation was possible unlike so many other restaurants in the area. Prices are high but not out of line with the quality of the food and the ambiance. The A La Carte menu allows one to have a good experience and manage the bill. I have had lunch and dinner and I will go back.
This place is great! I suggest making a reservation because they get busy!
It took 25 minutes after we were seated to get just water let alone order. The hostess was completely clueless. We booked the reservation the same day. If they couldn’t accommodate our reservation then they should have said there was no availability. We all ordered red meat and requested medium rare and it came out less than rare. At this price point, we were very disappointed.
We will not return as there are many more places to try in the area.
This was a lovely restaurant with excellent food. The price point for mains was quite high for the area - $35 to $40 - but the portion sizes are very large so if you enjoy leftovers or have a huge appetite I would not consider this a drawback. Appetizers were excellent as well.
Service was professional and charming and the interior warm and inviting. We ate there on a very slow night so I cannot say if it is noisy when full.

Outdoor deck in the trees is a beautiful setting for dinner. Come early enough to enjoy the early evening sun before it sets over the ridge. Fresh organic food from their own garden and seafood is delicious. Own smoked chicken came with glorious burnished mahogony skin, tender meat and delicate smoked flavor, served with outstanding corn pudding.
Servers were professional but main course took almost an hour to arrive; kitchen must have been distracted by big wedding onsite. Surprisingly few wines by the glass available for wine county.
Dog friendly and welcoming. Drinks and small plates on the deck before sunset would be awesome.
Fantastic environment indies and on the decks. Wonderful generous salad. Equally lovely soup of the day. Elegant fresh delicious cusine from a lovely chef in a special environment.
