Agni Indian Kitchen And Bar
The food was horrible! The service was horrible! The prices for what you got was was to high.
We love this place!! Best Indian food outside of London that we've had.A firm favourite.
Superb flavor with large portions and reasonable prices. It looks like the place was retrofitted into a defunct Wendy's, so the ambiance is not top shelf. Nonetheless, the interior is well kept and the service is very friendly. And once again, the food is simply excellent. I will definitely return, and I have already made a strong recommendation to some friends to try it.
The food is delicious. Our favorite is the lamb chops. Chicken 65 is a great appetizer. Wine was reasonably priced, as is the food.
Great restaurant with great food. Ambiance was a tad lacking however
One of the best...
The best part of this restaurant is the ownership. They are great people that make you want to go back because of their sincere engagement in the business. The restaurant has many options including a new drive thru. I have liked dining here best for the buffet lunch but dinner was fantastic, too.
Chicken Tandoori and Tikki Masala were great. We ate here while attending the High Point Market. I wanted Indian food and this did not disappoint.
The menu should be clear about shareable dishes. 6 people ordered tandoori chicken and we received way too much food. It was delicious though.
Good people serving good food in the franchise jungle of American restaurants. It's great to see mom and pop shops working hard and caring for their own small enterprise. Check this one out. Good.
Extremely disappointed. They did not have half the items that they showed on the online menu. The food was adequate, but nothing special. I asked how come they did not have all the items that was showed online? The waiter replied, because it was Valentines and they did not want to do everything. I have a feeling they raised the prices and shortened the menu for Valentines. Extremely disappointed and will not go there again and will not recommend. No value for the high price charged.
Amazing food. So fresh.
At first look from outside I was not sure I made the choice but went in anyway. Several tables full and food being served smelled and looked great! Not sure what to order but server was helpful. They provided complementary flat bread with a spicy green sauce which was great. I also tried 2 Indian wines for first time called Sula. Enjoyed the Chenin Blanc and Syrah was okay. Unfortunately, my order was accidentally not placed; I thought it was odd 2 people who came after me both got their food. He bought a complementary soup while I was waiting. It was delicious. Well the soup wasn't mine but another table as well as garlic nan. I got my order and it wasn't wrong, ordered shrimp but got chicken. It was delicious again but the wrong order. I paid my bill and left. Great food but serviced disorganized!
Delicious. You go into this place that used to be a fast food restaurant. .. and it's nothing like I expected. Awesome place
The food was tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. I love Indian food and this meal did not disappoint. We’ll be back.
Took a chance on this and it was well worth it. Excellent food, helpful service and creative preparation. Plus a good value.
Really great food. It took a bit of time for our food to arrive, but when it did I realized it was on account of the freshness of the cuisine rather than any laxness in service. Our garlic naan even had a welcome abundance of minced garlic...a detail many establishments often neglect. Fragrant and delicious looking forward to returning.
Fantastic food and friendly service. Couldn't have asked for a better experience for a last minute booking for 8! Thank you Agni. We will see you again when we are in Greensboro
what a disappointing experience.Went there twice but both of the times, food was horrible.
Generally if the food is good,i rate high because other things don't matter a lot. This place has paid reviews(i think) which confused me to go 2 times.
some of the items i ordered.
1)samosa chaat--Quantity is less but after tasting you will realise you can't eat even 2-3 spoons.
2)chicken 65/chilli:-all dry chicken items taste same here(fully uncooked and raw).
3)Chowmein:-same here too.not cooked properly.chicken dropped on top of it.Not at all good.
I just hate this place.
Me and my wife went to this restaurant with some expectations as it was recommended by a friend. It is a bit away from the center but we did not mind the distance as we were hoping for decent food.
We ordered Butter Chicken and Chicken Biryani and the food was not good even when you discount it saying that it is an Indian Restaurant in Europe. My wife commented that the Butter Chicken is more like curry wurst and I felt the same. I understand that some times restaurants use Tomato base for Butter Chicken but here it is more like ONLY tomato base. The Biryani was not good either. On top of it, which no restaurant gets wrong, is the chicken pieces. I mean, there is no way a chicken piece could have a texture of Tofu and feel like Tofu to bite. It seems that it is mashed chicken cut into cubes, which is really bad.
Also not much to write about the ambience either. Thoroughly disappointed but we all learn.
Agni offered delicious Indian food for a reasonable price. When we first arrived at the restaurant, we were a bit taken back because it is located in a building that looks like an old fast food restaurant. But, trust me, it's worth staying. The ambiance might leave a bit to be desired, but the food is absolutely delicious. After living in India, I have high expectations for what authentic Indian food should taste like and the food at Agni did not disappoint. The wait staff was extremely attentive, and the cook even allowed me to make a few modifications to the menu items. We were very happy with the food and service and will definitely return!
Best Indian food I've eaten so far!
Three of us dined here. We are all lovers of Indian food. We ordered three different entrees...all medium spice. One was served bland and two were ridiculously hot. If all had been medium it would have been a great experience. We will stick to Saffron's when in Greensboro. They always get it right.
This is with a doubt my favorite Indiana restaurant in Greensboro and everyone who works there is lovely
We were quickly seated and our waiter appeared soon after we were seated. My wife had a glass of wine and I sampled a beer called Hayward 5000, which was an Indian beer I had not yet tried. The wine list was fairly large, but the beer list was just adequate. There was a tiny bit of difficulty in communicating with our waiter. This is to be expected as I think English was his second language and I'm also hard of hearing.
We ordered two types of soup and they were both very hot and delicious. One was the Tom Yum and it was filled with shrimp (which was a surprise). We also ordered the Tandoor platter. This arrived hot and was plenty for two to split. The waiter did give us the option of whether we wanted the food mild, medium, or hot. Having no real knowledge of what was considered "hot" in Indian food, we went with Medium. Having to do it all again, I would choose Mild. Also tried a type of cheese filled bread that was very good. The bullet naan, however, was very, VERY spicy as it is filled with chili peppers.
The atmosphere was cozy and intimate with just the right lighting for me. We look forward to visiting again.
The food at Agni never disappoints. We've eaten at many Indian restaurants in several states and this is by far one of the best. They have a good kids menu as well, and have always been very accommodating having them there. They were much busier than normal for Valentine's Day, but kept up pretty well with the demand. We will continue to enjoy dinners here more than once a month!
My kids loved their food and so did we. We were very happy with everything at this restaurant and would definately go back sometime.
