I have always been a fan of Aged - this was my third time here. The past two times, the food was much better quality, and this most recent visit left me feeling a bit disappointed. I went for Sunday brunch (the unlimited champagne is a nice treat, especially because not many places on Austin Street offer something like this). However, I remember the food being better. While I didn't order the chicken and waffles, I was surprised to see that patrons who ordered that were being served chicken tenders that looked reheated on top of a waffle. My meal was the cajun chicken burger, which was just a seasoned chicken patty. I am not one to complain about food or the glitz of anything, but I remember my past experiences being much better. I'm sure I would go back, but would be more conscious of what I order next time.
I always have a great experience. Aged is one of my neighborhood spots I tend to gravitate to. The food is good, service and ambience. I brought a friend who is not from Queens and she enjoyed it so much; she’s anxious to come back.
Service was pretty slow. Waiting a really long time just to give out drink orders and when we did he came back to double check what we ordered. Food was good. Way overpriced
We love Aged. The meat is always delish, and the service is lovely. Nice atmosphere, good wine, and cocktails...a bit pricey, but nice for a special date night.
Not sure why Aged gets good reviews. I go once every six months or so to give it another chance and they always fail miserably. This time it was not at all busy, so no excuses. My guest and I ordered the same steak. Two different steaks showed up. My guest watched me eat while his correct steak was being cooked. My steak was not seasoned at all. I guess they don’t have salt and pepper in the kitchen. Pretty basic stuff they couldn’t get right. I also guess they don’t have an oven that gets more than 300 degrees because the steak had no sear at all and was basically gray. If someone could open a Steakhouse in Forest Hills that actually cooks a proper steak which is really not all that complicated, they will do amazing.
Wonderful Experience! Great Service. Nice ambiance. I plan to return again!
This was my first time having brunch, the experience was excellent. I will return in the future. Thank you Aged!
So delicious! Great Christmas price fixe, yummy seafood and tasty margaritas!
Terrible experience. Christmas day we had a reservation for 4pm. Showed up at 4pm and they seated us but said the kitchen did not open until 4:30. Also the heat was not on and the restaurant was freezing- we and all the other patrons were sitting there in our coats. When the food came it was fine, not great, however both of my parents got sick afterwards (they both had the clam chowder so maybe that was it). Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I was cheated the bill. I do not know whether that was intentional, but I pointed out, when I left the restaurant, the waitress did not even say a few words.
The restaurant is great. A bit noisy but after few drinks, I think it was ok. The food is delicious.
I had a burger, I ordered medium and it was well done. The ambiance is okay and service is good.
Eclectic menu for a variety of taste buds. Enjoyed the lemony shrimp and pasta. Was drinking so lemonade only.
My boyfriend and I wanted to have a nice, romantic dinner where we could talk. Aged was the perfect spot for this. The food was amazing, the music set a perfect mood and the waiter was superb! It was greatly appreciated. The next day we took our family there for brunch! Our new favorite restaurant! We love it!
Great food - beautiful ambiance- perfect for nice date -
Food was fine but...server not so much. Screwed up our entire order, HAHA, and wasn’t sorry, thank goodness for a great hostess and food runner who swooped in and saved the day!
It’s was great, the food was excellent.. “A MUST TRY”
Didn’t have a great strip steak. It was very chewy and rough. I was told about the porterhouse but didn’t try it because it was 99$ for two. Striphouse in Midtown is 80$ and their quality of food is much better. Trying the lamb chops now and hopefully it’s better than the steak.
Delish filet migen mignon, order and prepared perfectly.
aged has become my new favorite brunch spot. the food, drinks, and staff are a great and worth having friends and family from other boroughs come to and experience.
The food was completely mediocre.
One waiter for 5 tables. We placed an order which came out wrong. They charged for a dessert and a drink we never asked for.. a side came with one of the meals they charged us for that as well. They did take off these charges hut this should have been correct from the beginning. If i didn't check they would have made out with an extra $40 on the bill. So they charged me the first bill then voided and charged me again for the second bill which was the corrected bill instead of just reimbursing me the extra money they charged. The kitchen was very slow and the deserts were not what they should have been. Especially at $14 each. First and last time at this place.
It was my first time here and it was phenomenal. Made reservations and got there early and was seated right away. Waitress was amazing food was delicious can not wait to go back
Amazing, Well worth it! Would definitely go back. I heard the Brunch is amazing.
Awesome food. Fantastic service!
It wasn't my first time to AGED, and I enjoyed my visit as I had previously.
On this visit, I took my sister to a birthday brunch.
The steak and eggs were good, but we mostly enjoyed the flowing champagne. Our waiter kept us well-serviced.
My boyfriend and I have been going to Aged since we first started dating 5 years ago. My boyfriend and I went to Aged quite literally last week and had the most superb service. Our waiter was a young man who consistently checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed and was very friendly.
Last night, when my boyfriend and I decided to take his mom to Aged for the first time, it was overall a mediocre experience that just ended with a nice dose of abrupt racism. My boyfriends mom was late, so at least the waitress working was able to accommodate that (although that might be because it was a Monday night).
After we were seated and ordered, one of us requested an extra spoon and fresh pepper - we were ignored repeatedly until finally one of the busboys came and then he forgot. By the time we flagged down the one waitress working, the soup was already cold.
The $1 oysters had a very obvious fishy smell, and one was full of sand.
My strawberry cheesecake was mistaken for regular cheesecake...which was fine, accidents happen. But when my correct order came out, it looked like the person who cut it cut it with a spatula and smashed it onto the plate. Even the busboy who brought it out looked embarrassed.
There was no longer any available sorbet - and my boyfriends mother really wanted the Brûlée - I understand that it is very annoying to be repeatedly asked but I don't understand why she wouldn't be able to substitute her two choices from the prix fixe menu, especially if one was unavailable and she was willing to pay extra to cover the cost? isn't the customer priority??
My boyfriend and I were going to chalk it up as a bad night, but as we got up to leave, the tall skinny white man and someone else had the audacity to start bowing to me while saying "Xie xie". I'm an American, and I may look Chinese, but what if I wasn't? Why assume that? Why bow? What is wrong with your staff, this is absolutely inappropriate. We will never be coming back to Aged.
I purchased a Groupon for 100 dollars- a 3 course dinner for 2. I made a reservation and mentioned I had the Groupon...Big mistake. We were treated like we were begging for a free meal. Food was Just about ok. We were told dessert was just choice of vanilla or chocolate ice cream, no choice from Menu. Total disappointment and waste of 100 bucks.
It was awesome. Food to taste. I can't complain. Server was on top of us. Kept on asking if we were ok. I will definitely come back.
Very good! Very sweet waiter, and food was so good.
The owner is great and friendly and very involved in making sure the guests are treated well and happy. I liked the food a lot.
Personalized, kind and professional service. We arrived for our reservation before the restaurant's kitchen was even open, but the manager took great care of us at the bar in the interim.
The staff was very tentative, water was filled every chance possible. Our waiter was simply amazing, funny and super charming! Food was pretty good too!
Delicious food and great coffee. The brunch with unlimited champagne makes for a fun dinning experience!
We love the brunch here, but every time we go, the menu is slightly smaller--something else has been crossed off, or the meal comes with different things than it previously did, while they've also raised the price on brunch slightly. Still, I guess you can't complain too much for $20 entree and bottomless champagne.
Lovely staff, attentive and accommodating. Food was very good, menu varied.
Steak was over cooked after I asked that it be cooked specifically. The waiter was nice, but the bus boy was like a zombie.
Great food and service. The drinks and food were all excellent. The crab cake appetizer was so fresh, I am considering ordering 3 as a main course.
Food was really good. Maitre'd (Dominic) very professional - he quickly resolved some issues with inexperienced waiter. Fun location. Will deginately go back!
My overall experience was just ok. the food was good but the service was atrocious. i was actually surprised because it used to be quite good. the tip was included in the overall bill so that is my guess as to why the waitstaff does not feel like it has to be earned. Will not be returning.
