Agave Restaurant at Desert Diamond Casino Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant was packed as it was Valentines Day.. but, I had made reservations and we were seated right away. The food and service were wonderful. I had scallops which were very good, mu husband had steak and lobster and was very pleased with both. Our waitress has several large groups as well as smaller tables, but she was very attentive to everyone needs. It was a great experience and we will be going there again in the near future.
Agave has been my favorite since it opened. We have had birthdays, dates, and reunions here. The chefs have changed but the overall cuisine has stayed as superior quality with a nice range of tastes. I always rely on the chicken tortilla soup as a constitent fall back dish. The seating is great. The wait staff has always been wonderful. Prices are not cheap but not outrageous at about $20-$25 per person.
This restaurant at our local casino is fantastic. I've now had lunch there a number of times because they offer a monthly lunch special for $10 for the entree and an unbelievable dessert and each month has been wonderful surprise of flavors and ingredients!
We were asked when we made the reservation if it was a special occasion. I said yes, our anniversary. I don't know why they asked, because we were given no "special" treatment. A small dessert to share would have been nice. For the price of the meal ($26 each) plus drinks which brought the cost up to almost $100.00, I would have liked a table cloth, a salad with the meal (how much could lettuce cost) ... and maybe a more intimate setting. We will probably have lunch there again, but would definitely not recommend it for a "special occasion.
I was very impressed and amazed at the simple yet how awesome the service was. They were there just enough, yet unlike other exquisite places with great menus and service where they literally interfere with any conversation and inter activeness with those who are eating the staff was perfect in their timing and balance of being too much verses too little. Plus when we needed special consideration on one of the entrees it was the waitress who came up with a wonderful solution to what was asked for and needed.
Food and service ware outstanding. The only problem was with reservation thru Open Table. We were given a reservation at 3PM which after checking on line was changed to 4PM. Found out at arrival the restaurant was not open until 5PM for dinner service on New Year's Eve. We were reschuled for 5PM and service was prompt, food delicious and good time was had by all in the group. In the future will call the restaurant directly and skip Open Table.
Everything was very good with one exception... I selected the special, which was Halibut. It Was Very Dry. Otherwise, all was good. We were there on Christmas eve and decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary there 6 days later. Have always enjoyed the Agave.
The food was good, the service was wonderful. The noise level was terrible. We couldn't hear each other. The tables are too close. The wait staff had to wind around the tables which was quite a challenge. The hostess sat all parties very close together, but there was a lot of empty seating in other parts of the restaurant. That was the least desireable part of the experience and made the noise seem much louder than it might have been if the customers had been farther apart and the whole soace had been used.
Food and vibes here always pleasant .I had the tortilla soup and it was too robust for me. I ordered a side of sour cream to tone it down. The free birthday cake had liquid real gold in the frosting. Nice greens in salad. We’ll keep company nag back! Nice job peeps! 🤙
