Agave Restaurant at Desert Diamond Casino
The appetizers, shrimp cocktail and Calamari were both excellent. We ordered two different entrees. The duck breast which my spouse had was excellent, prepared and presented nicely. The Steak Diane I ordered came out with the wrong vegetable, and was supposed to be filet medallions. Being somewhat picky about my beef it seemed to me that I was served flat cuts of sirloin both in texture and tenderness. The temperature was about right, but I would not order the same meal again, hence our average rating for the experience. We shared a cheesecake serving, which was average.
Everything was excellent with one exception. The spinach salad. Presentation was okay but it lacked great ingredients , very disappointed. I would not order it again nor would I recommend it. Everyone else enjoyed their meal and they all looks good. We will continue to enjoy the Agave Restaurant. The staff is excellent.
The Agave is everything that the DD buffet is not! The Agave has a nice ambience, interesting, delicious food & good service. The portions are ample & the prices are reasonable. My most recent meal was the prime rib, served w/soup or salad, huge baked potato & sautéed veggies, rolls & butter. Brittany Cooper was our excellent server.
Wonderful meal, fish and chips. Friendly server. Will return soon!
Four of us dined there Sunday evening and we were celebrating a birthday. Two of us ordered steak Diane. One ordered tenderloin steak and the other ordered prime rib.
All of the dinners were cooked perfect, tasted great, and the portions were generous.
The birthday boy got a free desert as well.
Our server was quite the character and we enjoyed her as well.
We didn’t know what to expect as we hadn’t eaten there before but as new residents of Green Valley, we will be coming back.
Dinning experience was exceptional and will return
Great place to eat, food is fantastic, the Salmon dish is to die for. A new menu, good job.
I was very surprised that they were not doing more business. Since there is virtually nothing left in Green Valley for fine dining, this is great! The prices were very reasonable, and the food was excellent.
Went for national lobster day.The lobster bisque was terrible, 0 lobster meat and too salty, does campbells soup make a lobster bisque? On a 1-10 scale the bisque was a weak 2.The lobster it's self was good, the baked potato tasted like a baked potato ,the vegetable was O K.The cake was crazy good.I have been here a hand full of times over the years, and expected better, but I plan on giving them another chance.
Meal for 6 special Liver dinner certificate. Enjoyed by all. One of better meals we all have had in Tucson area. Five star food and presentation. Excellent wine paring. We all will go again.
Calamari appetizer was plentiful and had nice spice (heat) with dip.
Jumbo Scallops (5) were indeed jumbo and tasty
Home made fettuccine was fresh.
No room for dessert
The food was great, but wish the portions were bigger for the price.
We went for the Sonoran Restaurant prix fixe dinner, having never been there before, and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was great and very nicely presented, the service superlative, and the price for it all was very reasonable.
We both opted for the lobster tail dinner, but my husband felt the amount of meat was quite small for the price, mine was okay but a bit chewier than I would have expected. The potato and broccolini veg were fine. The service was a bit slow, especially considering there were few people there on a Sunday evening. We usually love the Agave, so this was a bit disappointing.
Everything was just perfect. We were entertaining guests from out of state and they thought so too. We all appreciated the added meat selections.
A very nice evening with friends: great food, excellent service, nice table. Had a reservation for which the tale is always ready. Have enjoyed the current menu a great deal and am looking forward to the new menu set to come out the 1st week of Sept.
Many choices and the food is good at a reasonable price!
Always pleasant, always good food, always a bargain.
Service very slow. Eat there often. Not good service this time. Good food good value
From beginning to end it was horrible. Can’t say anything good. A manager did give us a free dinner at another time.
I love the food and drinks, something is always innovated each time we visit. It's also a great deal for such delicious food!
Generally the food is very good along with the service and ambience. On this particular occasion all the food, every entree and side dishes we're terrible, except for the soup. We've always enjoyed the food at the restaurant in the past so we'll keep going...
I was very disappointed with the quality
of the food.
I had the New York steak and it was tough and had little flavor.
We brought a guest and we’re embarrassed
By the food.
The service was very good.
We enjoyed the evening and the food and service. Will definitely go again
4 of use went to agave for the convenience because we had a comedy show next door. Made reservations online which was easy and convenient online for 7pm. We were seated promptly. Since we only had an hour we all knew what we were going to order. 5munnlater the waitress greeted we said we will put in the full order. She took our order nothing was substitute or changed. The steak was requested medium raw. Place was busy but not full. Good came out for 3 ppl and the vegan plate was left behind. The waitress forgot to put in the order. Then the steak was raw. She never came back to ask if another round of drinks were desired. We had 15 min left we got the managers attention. He quickly got the issue fixed and discounted the late vegan dish and the steak. Overall the salmon plate was amazing but the other dishes were average.
Food was priced right. The food was okay meaning it didn’t taste bad but I wasn’t wowed! I ordered a full rack of ribs for 20.00 bucks. I would go back to eat before the show.
The ribs were not tasty at all. Looks like they were boiled or steamed, put on a plate, then smothered in bbq sauce. Won't be coming back here again.
Nice view by window all was enjoyable lovely atmosphere
Food quality very poor. I was unable to eat more than a few bites of Turkey dinner. The green beans were very tough and mashed potatoes and stuffing unrecognizable. Dinner was way over-priced. We will not return.
Have been to the Agave many times & the quality has been consistent. Always take out-of-town guests there. This restaurant is one of our favorites.
We arrived early for our reservation because there was a rainstorm we thought would slow us down, but there was no problem with the hostess seating us 15 minutes early. The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable, though the waitress did not inform us that the bread was "only on demand." We hadn't asked because we assumed it would simply be brought to us. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and everything was good, though my fresh pasta was somewhat underdone. We've eaten here a few times before, and the experience is always about the same level: good but not great. Value is good, though.
Friendly staff. Quiet setting. Inexpensive strong drinks. Food was pretty bland.
It was good, but not great. I guess I was expecting a little more. Buffet was probably a better deal. Service was so, so, but that's just based on the server we had. Could be better or worse.
We celebrated my husband's 80th birthday and we chose the perfect place to have dinner. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We will be back in July for the Sunset Special.
The meal was disappointing at best. The online menu was not current, neither was the 15% military discount, which has actually been lowered to 10%. The New York Strip steak was ordered medium rare and was served meduim well. Finally the garden Green salad was made from browning iceberg lettuce. The manger was informed of the online menu not being up-to-date, which she was aware of. She was gracious and did not charge us for the appetizer. I don't think I will go back again.
We went on a Saturday night. Business was brisk. One large gathering celebrating a family birthday. Sunrise special was chicken piccata--very moist and tasty. Fish and chips excellent as always. Our server (TINA) was very attentive and Hostess MaryAnn always makes guests feel welcome. We will definitely go again and will recommend these specials to all our friends.
The service is outstanding. The portions are small for the price. Tables are pretty tight up against other nearby patrons.
Chef Orlando cooked our filet mignons perfectly! Best cooked thick steak in years! The new menu is wonderful - FRIED CHICKEN!!!!! Four pieces - half chicken - fried crispy and tender. Yummy. Meatloaf, checked parmigiana, ribs, white Mac and cheese. TEAL mashed potatoes! Fried shrimp! Scallops. And the prices are so reasonable - about $15 for most meals!
Had the prime rib. Okay, but not as good as the salmon or fish and chips
