This restaurant was closed when we arrived and appears to have been closed for quite some time. This restaurant needs to be taken off of open table.
Arrived at restaurant to find it closed for renovations, possibly permanently. Suggest removing this restaurant from your listings for reservations.
This restaurant was closed for remodeling. The website did not indicate that and Open Table let us make a reservation. We arrived for dinner to see a note taped to the door that they were closed for a few weeks. Very disappointing.
My reservation was accepted but when I arrived the entire restaurant was closed for renovations. I had a party of 12 and we completely embarrassed by the situation.
Restaurant is closed. They even sent me a text confirming the reservation. Looks like that have been closed since middle of September. Ended up going to Felicia Suzanne’s and had a great meal. Maybe we will try again if they reopen
The restaurant was closed, drive an hour to eat there and it wasn’t even open. Not sure why I was allowed to make a reservation...
I made a reservation for a birthday celebration. Upon arriving, a sign was posted on the door indicating they were closed for remodeling. Ruined the night! Why would they continue to accept and confirm reservations when closed. Informed Open Table and they were apologetic but the next are still accepting reservations for a restaurant that is closed! Unacceptable.
It was closed! We had the reservation and drove all the way downtown and paid for parking and then it had a sign on the window that it was closed for a few weeks. We were going to celebrate my father's 65th birthday. Horrible experience!
Closed for two weeks for remodeling. You'd think Open Table would let you know that when making reservations.
My guess, from looking at the menu, is the food would be really good. Considering it was closed and under renovation, we weren't able to eat, here. Maybe update your reservation app so that out if towners will know.
Went to Restaurant and found it was closed for renovations via a handwritten sign in the front door. Checked all social media and websites in advance. Reservation was even confirmed on OpenTable. Very frustrating to have to change plans on a Friday date night.
Drove 80 miles to eat there. Restaurant web page nor Open Table let me know that restaurant was closed for three weeks for renovations. Open table even sent me an email reservation confirmation. Not cool, man!
Came recommended and it was up to it. The waiter, the Manager and the bartender all played a great part in our girls night out.
The food was great. I got the fish tacos with corn tortillas. My friend got the lobster enchilada. Portions were perfect. We were satisfied not overly and uncomfortably stuffed. Perfect to keep it going for a night out on the town. Our waiter so kind and helpful. Loved it!
We had a great time! Drinks were good; but the food didn't live up to our hopes!
Loved the food and the service!! Will definitely be back!!
It was great and we had a blast! Drinks were yummy- staff was well versed
Loved the experience of going. had a large party with reservations and was seated quickly. food was awesome everyone in my party really enjoyed it.
Best salsa I ever had in my life!!! Lol
Food was yummy! Drinks were delish. And service was excellent. Fun spot for a girls night or date night! Highly recommend!
Everything was awesome it our waitress was a little awkward. She may have been new. I love this place and the food was to die for. Worth the drive.
Incredible place. Went back twice in same day. Great cocktails.
Had the guac and tacos for dinner with a friend. The guac was pretty average. The tacos tasted great, but they were extremely expensive for such a small portion. Our waiter never got us more water and only came by to bring out our dinner. I was really disappointed!
The food was excellent. The service was super friendly. I really do enjoy this place...overall, it adds to the best Dino g experiences in Memphis!
Agave Maria's is a family fav! The combination of fresh ingredients and mouth-watering flavor combinations is always a treat! If shrimp and grits is the special of the day, be sure to order it! And, the Mexican Street Corn is divine, too!
Great meal and wonderful service! The ingredients were fresh & unique!
We were in town and randomly chose a place to eat off open table. What a great pick!! Everything was wonderful!! Food was fantastic and Boyd was the best server. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Def recommend. Will return next time I'm in Memphis.
Overpriced and honestly not that good.
Uncommon MexiCuban flare on traditional Mex, TexMex favorites. High end meat choices complement creative variations on Tacos, Quesadillas, and the like. All create memorable dining experience.
Boyd, our server, was very attentive and gave us a knowlegeable rundown of the menu items. The tequila list was extensive with over 25 types! The food was SO RICH. Everything we ate had a creamy heavy sauce, cheese, salt... it doesn't look like a lot of food, but everything was decadent. The rice was so-so, but the carnitas and pastor were delicious.
Boyd found a bracelet that had fallen off of my wrist on the floor (fortunately the restaurant wasn't busy or it would be snatched up by a customer), and asked if it was ours. I was so grateful for him returning it to me- honesty is so hard to come by these days!
Small plates were all excellent and served quickly. Good cocktails. Service was good.
Excellent upscale mexican food, service was a bit odd, and cocktail list disappointing.
Agave Maria's is delicious and has a great chill atmosphere! We had a large group and everyone left happy with their experience and meal. The margaritas, two for one till 7pm were refreshing!
Food was prepared and presented well, but lacked pizazz. Service was ok. We had to find the waiter a couple of times to bring more of the fried tortillas for dips. The interior is looking a little worn. Good location within walking distance of Orpheum and Beale street.
Food was GREAT! The restaurant was cramped and some elements of their decorum clashed with others making the ambience somewhat lacking. Overall a good place to dine.
It was a wonderful experience. The food was great and the service was outstanding. Jordan, our server, was phenomenal. This has become a favorite!
Agave Maria is the first Mexican restaurant I've eaten at in Memphis that has distinct tasting food and is not just the same taste found in all local Mexican restaurants. Coming from San Diego with its bountiful, delightful Mexican eateries, I have been disappointed in the options here. Agave Maria has changed that. I will definitely return. Oh - the house margarita was great also!
We LOVED Agave Maria and it will now be my new go-to restaurant downtown before Redbirds and Grizzlies games! I have been thinking about the Margaritas, Queso Dip, Asada tacos and Mexican Street Corn on the Cob several days after eating there-- it was all so delicious!
The pork arepa was excellent, but the the guacamole was very bland and the waitstaff was undertrained. They just were not professional enough to match the food, decor or vibe.
Good service. Loved the tacos! My husband & I got the carne asada & al pastor. Loved them both! Great margaritas!
