Agave Ratings and Reviews
Everything was wonderful except we were cold and could actually feel a breeze. It wasn't that hot outside so we had to ask one of the servers if the AC could be turned down a little. We saw other people choosing other tables too because of trying to be out of the draft. It's hard to enjoy a meal when you are all tensed up.
The food was delicious. We loved having the guacamole prepared right at our table, and it was exceptionally good. Each of enjoyed our meals greatly.
Very good guacamole to start our dinner. Margaritas were a bit watery - too much ice. Rib appetizer was delicious. Calamari app was a bit scant. Our dinner companions had the tortilla soup and loved it. They also had the lobster and shrimp quesadillas and raved about the dish. WE all had the tacos - our chicken and spicy cauliflower tacos were dry and not very tasty. Our companions were very happy with their sirloin tacos. We all agreed Agave is a resto we would return to.
Management and front of the house staff was superb. So was our server Ashley. I hosted a large group of friends for Happy Hour followed by Dinner. We did not all arrive at the same time and the staff was very accommodating! We had a nice table for just us near the east side of the restaurant. The room in which we dined was pretty warm and our server told us that the fans on the ceiling could only be turned on using a ladder. Horribly impractical once we were in our seats. Except for the room temp it was a great night for my friends and me.
Really enjoyed our meal here, were surprised to be seated in a lovely private room which was a little cold to start with but the staff quickly remedied that. Dishes explained and the servers could not have been more helpful even 'tho the restaurant closes at 9.00 p.m. and our table was
reserved for 8.45! we did not feel rushed at all. Very good dining experience and would certainly return on our next vacation.
This restaurant which is affiliated with Angelina's in Bonita Springs brings the fine culinary standards to a more casual setting. While the menu is somewhat limited and isn't typical Mexican fare, what they do offer is superbly prepared. Definitely don't miss the table side guacamole which is mixed by hand.
On all of our visits we have been always warmly greeted and seated promptly. The service is paced appropriate to the group and we never feel rushed.
The decor is interesting and lends the atmosphere towards a more quiet and intimate vibe in the dining room area. We tend to sit far away from the bar so have no opinion regarding that area.
Highly recommended, will be returning often.
Very average. Specifically asked for the guacamole not to be spicy and all 4 agreed it was very spicy. Food took an eternity to arrive although restaurant wasn’t even 25% full. Waiter was friendly and kept us hydrated. Heard great reports about the place but won’t be back as far better options around town.
