Agave Ratings and Reviews
There where 6 of us and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The margarita's where excellent.
The service was ok, the server was very busy and so he was not as attentive to our table.
It was very noisy so at times difficult to hear what was being said at our table. But
that also tells me that there where folks there having a wonderful time and enjoying wonderful food in a fun place.
Agave has been an Atlanta classic and my recent trip didn’t disappoint. The chips and salsa to begin were hot and flavorful. We skipped an appetizer and went straight to the entree which was spectacular. And to finish the night the dessert tray was to die for. Again, been coming here for years and it’s a great place to take someone who isn’t familiar with that part of town because you will only find it here in Atlanta.
Consistently - A Southwest Gem
Agave has become one of a handful of favorite restaurants. Our most recent visit was on Saturday, November 25th. The Staff excel at Customer Service (AJ was the exceptional Server this visit.) The food is flavorful and attractively plated (Recommend the Cayenne Onion Rings, Pork Verde Enchiladas, Chicken Chile Quesadilla.) The Traditional and Jalepeno Margaritas are a must. The decor is pleasant. Dining at Agave is a feel-good experience. And, importantly, Agave is consistent. Highly recommend Agave.
Manager is very rude and service was subpar. They do have appetizer specials but if you don't know they won't tell you. Doors open a lil before 5 and everyone one will completely ignore you until the clock strikes 5. Won't even offer water but will make sure they you tip on total before discount. Overall food was good but service horrible
We were shown to our table immediately which was great. The restaurant on a Saturday night is very loud so no quiet dates here. The Lamb and the Scallops were delicious and a little spicy. our waitress was very attentive and took good care of us. The valet is a little far from the restaurant so had to walk in the rain a little. All in all though a very good experience.
Everything was a 10-from the attentive, helpful waiters to the app and entries.
I will be returning. Price was reasonable, too.
Not sure why they have no beer on tap, but the beer was cold and fresh poured into a cold glass from the bottle. No one in my party was disappointed.
The restaurant my dining club chose for the evening had a 3hr wait and didn't take reservations. At the 11th hour, the manager as able to accommodate our large party and the food did not disappoint! Always a good time and good food. We will most definitely return.
It had been years since our previous visit. In the interval Agave has grown. The night was crazy (the night after Halloween) and the room was loud. The entrees were brought out before the appetizer; then the waiter informed us the appetizer would be comped; then the manager came to us with that same information. Half an hour later a server brought out another appetizer (fish tacos) that we turned back. Hey, the food and recipes are really good here, but, the waiter for the table next to ours increased the decibel level in the room with his booming voice. You must know that when people start having to yell to be heard it causes everyone else to raise their voices, too. If we come back and see the place is crowded, it may be the last time.
Great food, lousy service ... took 10 minutes before a waiter came to the table to welcome us and take our drink orders ... took another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive ... very disappointing, as we love the food at this restaurant but service like this will drive us elsewhere.
Agave never disappoints. Food and service always spectacular. Food is fresh and original. Grilled veggies are the best. I wish the swordfish steak was on the menu more often. The collard greens are the best I've ever had from anywhere and that includes my southern family. The margaritas can't be compared; for the $9 avg price you get a lot of drink with alcohol. Most places I feel have drinks for the same price but half the size and hardly any alcohol. Not here.
