Agave Ratings and Reviews
We were shown to our table immediately which was great. The restaurant on a Saturday night is very loud so no quiet dates here. The Lamb and the Scallops were delicious and a little spicy. our waitress was very attentive and took good care of us. The valet is a little far from the restaurant so had to walk in the rain a little. All in all though a very good experience.
Everything was a 10-from the attentive, helpful waiters to the app and entries.
I will be returning. Price was reasonable, too.
Not sure why they have no beer on tap, but the beer was cold and fresh poured into a cold glass from the bottle. No one in my party was disappointed.
The restaurant my dining club chose for the evening had a 3hr wait and didn't take reservations. At the 11th hour, the manager as able to accommodate our large party and the food did not disappoint! Always a good time and good food. We will most definitely return.
It had been years since our previous visit. In the interval Agave has grown. The night was crazy (the night after Halloween) and the room was loud. The entrees were brought out before the appetizer; then the waiter informed us the appetizer would be comped; then the manager came to us with that same information. Half an hour later a server brought out another appetizer (fish tacos) that we turned back. Hey, the food and recipes are really good here, but, the waiter for the table next to ours increased the decibel level in the room with his booming voice. You must know that when people start having to yell to be heard it causes everyone else to raise their voices, too. If we come back and see the place is crowded, it may be the last time.
Great food, lousy service ... took 10 minutes before a waiter came to the table to welcome us and take our drink orders ... took another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive ... very disappointing, as we love the food at this restaurant but service like this will drive us elsewhere.
Agave never disappoints. Food and service always spectacular. Food is fresh and original. Grilled veggies are the best. I wish the swordfish steak was on the menu more often. The collard greens are the best I've ever had from anywhere and that includes my southern family. The margaritas can't be compared; for the $9 avg price you get a lot of drink with alcohol. Most places I feel have drinks for the same price but half the size and hardly any alcohol. Not here.
I had previously only dined at Agave on week nights. The food was great but I guess I didn't realized how busy the restaurant gets on weekends. Fortunately we had a reservation and did not have to wait for a table. There were three large parties in the back seating area that were EXTREMELY loud which made it hard for our small party to enjoy the meal. I'll be back, just maybe not for a late dinner on a Saturday night.
AGAVE does it again! We tried an array of appetizers as our full meal, and enjoyed every delicious bite! The atmosphere is always great, and the service is attentive. My friend enjoyed a perfectly made margarita (after sharing that a few in the past weren't that terrific), and we hardly left food to carry home. The chips & salsa are always a perfect start to a delightful evening! GREAT JOB Agave. Stay amaaaaazing!!
This was, heretofore, an Atlanta favorite, but my recent visit left a very bad taste in my mouth--no pun intended. While the food was delicious, the service was absolutely horrible. Drinks arrived fifteen minutes after the appetizer; our entrees arrived apart from each other. The restaurant was filled to capacity and there were several large parties present--but the management hadn't seemed to notice. The wait staff was stretched far too thin. It took more than twenty-five minutes to receive and settle the final bill--despite a large number of patrons waiting for our table. There are many excellent restaurants in Atlanta that offer excellent service. This used to be one of them.
I have been to Agave many times over the last 5 or more years. The food has been consistently great. The service has been very good with few exceptions. When making reservations we have always been seated at the time we asked for. The ambience is awesome even though a little loud but we like that! Please keep on with what you are doing!
I was pleasantly surprised with Agave's wonderful food and customer service. We were seated promptly (after arriving about 20 minutes prior to our reservation) and our waiter was excellent. He was friendly and offered recommendations for our drinks and entrees. My margarita was perfect (not overly sweet and chemically-tasting) and the special swordfish was out of this world delicious. We also ordered the ceviche appetizer and key lime dessert - again, both were phenomenal. I highly recommend Agave and can't wait to come back.
I usually love this restaurant and haven't been in awhile. However, I not sure if it was the meal choice or a change in Chef, as my most recent visit was lackluster compared to previous visits. The salsa was delicious but the mountain trout stuffed with crawfish was a bit bland in my opinion. The staff was great and atmosphere was a bit loud and dark.
Adam, our server, was wonderful and the food was cooked perfectly, spicy but not overwhelming. I had the tenderloin medallions which were tender enough to cut with my fork---grilled zucchini and mashed potatoes were awesome. My husband had the barbacoa taco--enjoyed it greatly. The calamari was some of the best we've ever had! We don't get down here often enough...always a great meal.
