   Feels like a run-down place, which would be totally fine if the food and service were good. They weren't, so it all just felt like a downer and it was nice to leave. Our server disappeared for most of the time we were there, and since we were seated in the very back corner it was impossible to get her attention the times we saw her floating around other parts of the restaurant. It wasn't very busy, so she just didn't have the presence of mind to check in with us. She also didn't know the menu, but acted like she did. Though the menu description of what my friend ordered did not include onions, she asked the server if it had onions. She immediately said no, but when the food came, there were onions all through the pulled chicken. When we were able to get the server's attention, we very nicely just explained there were onions all over it and could my friend please get something else. The server was nice about it, but it took way longer to bring out the second dish than it originally took to bring our food the first time. We never saw her again and wanted to order more cocktails. My dish and her second dish were just okay. Won't be back.

   I love the appetizers and the guacamole is the perfect amount of lime and flavor to it. For some reason the beer feels warm not cold which is weird and second time I’ve ordered the Guinness there so maybe the glasses should be chilled or something. Otherwise, everything was great. The Cuban sandwich was good just not a big fan of the bread I like my Cuban on some crunchy hard bread but the flavors were amazing. It’s a cool place to eat and enjoy some lunch.

    I've been there twice in 2 weeks (the first time was my first time, the second time was my recommendation). The staff is friendly helpful and pleasant. The food is delicious and the drinks are cold and tasty. Makes me wish lived on the West Side so I can eat there more often!

    Friendly accommodating staff and management. Collegial team of employees provide great service to customers consistently. Food is fresh and delicious. Samba Chicken, Burritos, Burgers all outstanding. Fish tacos great, too. A neighborhood gem to be sure.

    Just OK. Nothing really special. Burgers are fine as is the Samba chicken. Prices are reasonable. Great for a weekday meal but definitely not a special occasion restaurant

    Very disappointed in the mediocre burrito I ordered for lunch. There were three small bits of grisly chicken and the rice and beans were mush. The wait staff was attentive and prompt but the food quality was unimpressive

    My server was amazing the ceviche was super delicious and the late-night espresso was the perfect end of my meal. I love coming to this place and always recommend it whenever I have friends coming and staying on the upper west.

    Used to come here often and the food was delicious. However the food tonight was absolutely terrible. And I ordered a peanut bourbon drink and they were out of the bourbon so the bartender took it upon herself to serve me a whiskey sour without mentioning it. When I asked the waiter he figured out the situation and didn’t charge me the drink. Service was great but doesn’t make up for awful food and terrible judgement in the bartender.     Food was good, but we had the smallest margaritas I had ever seen! They were $7.50 and were four normal sips and they were gone! Spoke to manger who apologized and said"I don't own the restaurant but I understand!"

    My girlfriend and I went for a drink and dinner after seeing a movie. Other than the high noise level, it was great. The guacamole is so fresh, made to order, the tap beer selection is excellent, the prices are very fair and our waiter was lovely. I would definitely go back.

    We’ve been here several times when visiting NYC - love the guacamole trio! Wait staff are always friendly, but this visit they were slow with service and one of our guests had to leave with food wrapped to take with him and he had been there for an hour.

    Want a good burger? This is a place. But if you order the salmon salad, expect some lettuce, a piece of salmon the size of a credit card and a $22 charge. Frenetic and noisy with tables on top of each other. We came for dinner on Friday night with friends and could barely hear each other. The couple next to us were so close they would have heard every word of our conversation except for all the noise at every other table.

    The staff at AG Kitchen are great--very kind, willing to split checks, and happy to make recommendations. The food, though, wasn't spectacular--my fish tacos were room temperature--and it was a bit too expensive for what it is. The margarita was very good. Thanks!

    Been here twice. Both times the food was great but the waitstaff, although friendly and earnest, need some training and need some help. Hard to flag them down, they don't get orders right and when you tell them you asked for lemon in your weiss bier instead of orange after it arrives with orange, our waiter schooled us that they are customarily served with orange slices... which is not true in Europe or the German restaurants in town and it really didn't matter because that is not what was ordered. The mains arrived minutes after the appetizer so we had to shove the appetizer aside. Once the plates were delivered, no one checked back to take them away once we were done and we sat with dirty plates for 15 minutes. Then had to ask two other servers to have our waiter bring the bill. Love the food, the place is attractive and has a good vibe but they need to fix the service big time.

    The menu was full of wonderfully tempting Cuban and Carribean-oriented dishes - it was hard to choose what to eat. And the food (A Cubano sandwich and salad) was excellent. BUT the service was laughable. After bringing our drinks, the waiter forgot to take our order for almost half an hour (we were talking so forgot ourselves - then began to wonder what was taking the kitchen so long - and realized we hadn't even ordered!), then he brought my companion's food but not mine. After a while, I asked where mine was. He'd forgotten. Nevertheless, he was very agreeable and pleasant. And the food was terrific.
