Excellent food and service. Will definitely be going back next time we come back to Niagara Falls. Bri was our server and she was attentive and explained everything and made our dining experience memorable. Thank you Bri for an exceptional experience.
Enjoyed our experience- server was accommodating with regards to a more private table we didn’t have to wait very long. Bartender was friendly and the musician added to the evening. Would definitely go again.
Our main criticism is the Dining Room is very dark and piped in music too loud for a fine dining restaurant . The guitarist after 8 was excellent. They could keep the room dark if they located spot LED lights above tables.
We would like to commend the Chef for creativity, great presentation and delicious food. The wine list of Niagara’s Wines was well assembled and affordable.
We’ll be back.
My wife an I done at AG inspired every June for our anniversary. We are never disappointed. The food and service are always impeccable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an intimate, upscale setting and delicious French inspired quisine utilizing fresh local ingredients. We may go back at for peach season !!!
Farm-to-table done very well. Very good and interesting dishes in all three courses. The asparagus veloute (soup) and the new strawberry desert stood out. There isn't much that's classy about Niagara Falls, but AG is. We stayed at the boutique-level Sterling Inn and got a discount.
Beautiful plates, lovely staff, and great flavor. Desserts were fantastic !
Considering the prices, my expectations were sky-high. They were not met. The food's good, but hardly mind-blowing. And how does a farm-to-table restaurant in Niagara Falls get octopus?
I highly recommend a dinner here, the price is amazing and the food is 5 star!
Ignore the lack of a view. That’s not why you go to AG at The Sterling. The food and service were exquisite. The ingredients were seasonal and fresh. The menu was innovative but not insane. Try the fiddleheads and anything dusted with bee pollen...you’ll be glad you did.
We had a very lovely time celebrating our anniversary here! Food was exceptional and wine pairing suggestions were wonderful! We would definitely return were we in the area again.
Good value, great portion. Dessert (pastry) is bit too sweet for me. But the pear taste the best
The food and atmosphere was excellent. Our server was excellent as well.
Treated us superbly for our anniversary. Gave us special seating and attention. Much appreciated.
it was outstanding!
I will be back the next time im in niagara.
The food was fresh , delicious and the woman who served us was really professionnel.
James was fantastic; food was amazing; live music was a very nice touch. The creek brûlée was out of this world. We will definitely return the next time we’re in Niagara Falls.
We loved our dinner at AG! The food was really tasty and the story behind the restaurant and what the chef is looking to accomplish was really amazing. We live in NYC where we have access to top notch restaurants all the time and this experience is in our list of best restaurant meals.
One note for newbies is that the menu is not a la carte. You have to choose an appetizer, entree and dessert which was a little much for me and my boyfriend, so go hungry!
Impeccable service, incredible food. This is one of the best dining experiences I’ve had and I like to think I know food. We were a groups of three and ordered a large amount of dishes so that we could taste many things on the menu. Everything was beautifully plated and delicious! We also got wine pairings as recommended by the sommelier. The meal was pretty reasonable considering what we ordered. Would definitely come back when I am in Niagara Falls.
The food was excellent (beef tenderloin and creme brulee) especially, the atmosphere was nice and my server was good. But it didn't quite feel elite and it took too long between courses.
Food was good. Slow to come out but we were in no rush. Expensive.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. The staff was wonderful and the food was amazing. Best meal we have had possibly ever. We will definitely be going back again.
Special place for a gourmet meal. Each course had amazing flavors. Chefs welcome taste left me wanting more. Must try bone marrow luge
So nice to find an excellent restaurant in Niagara Falls.
Waited very long for everything. Food was good. Server was nice but seemed understaffed.
Phenomenal food and spectacular service. Couldn't have asked for more.
We were their two times last week while we were in the Falls and both times were outstanding! As always the Service was excellent and the food was on point! Looking forward to being back in the fall!
Very good food & atmosphere but not a great service.
Super friendly staff and yummy food that is sourced locally. Worth the money!
Excellent food with farm to table freshness and a spectacular attention to promoting local flavours. All-Niagara wine list and some great recommendations from our server.
Will definitely go back on our next time through Niagara
The ambiance and the food was great. Except for our server Darren who was very elusive and non attentive at all. A couple who were seated just after us and beside us were better served. Their server told them everything that was on their plate and what to expect. Ours were just whatever. If you happen to be non caucasians. Beware as you will not be treated the same...the atmosphere got very sour after realizing that we were not having the same treatment as our neighbors. Overall it was a bad experience tbh.
The best charred octopus ever. I’d go back and have the octopus for starter, main and dessert. The AG beef ternderloin portion was perfect for a 3 course meal, cooked perfectly and was delicious.
Ours was a birthday celebration and we enjoyed dining here immensely. The cuisine was exceptional, the lighting and mood peaceful, and we really enjoyed ourselves.
We very much enjoyed our evening at AG. The atmosphere is quiet and elegant. The wait staff were relaxed, friendly and professional. We had the Thursday special of steak frites for two, and a bottle of very good local merlot for $69.00. I would highly recommend AG!
Amazing food and service! Will be back next time I’m in the falls. The food was fresh and tasted unreal. Keep up the great work!
Everytime we go its amaxing, only downside was jackie when we asked for a more private table, she was sour never smiled only to other co workers
Food was amazing service was awesome. All and all a great dinner out it was pricey but well worth it.
Excellent farm to table restaurant with fresh local food and great service. Highly recommend!
Came to AG for dinner after reading the rave reviews. Service and atmosphere was top drawer. Was surprised by, but liked the three course meal for a set price. My husband is not a fan of desserts, so he was able to choose two appetizers instead. I had the candied beet salad, which I really enjoyed; he had the charred octopus salad and the steamed mussels. Also, I should mention that before our appetizers the chef sent out a little pastry with venison that was delicious! On to the main course... I was hoping when I booked the reservation that we’d be able to have the venison loin that was on the menu online, but it was not on the menu that evening, instead we both chose the AG Signature tenderloin of beef. Unfortunately, this entree was a huge disappointment. The tenderloin was generous in size and cooked to a perfect medium rare, but it was under seasoned and the melted Brie (with no almond crust) did not compliment it at all. The vegetables that came with it were also nothing to write home about - the lemon garlic greens were flavourless and the fried potato patty that it all sat on tasted like a soggy hash brown. I really wish I would have ordered something - anything, else. For dessert I had the caramel Creme brûlée that came with a ginger molasses cookie, both were delicious.
All in all, it is a very nice restaurant and the service was excellent but the main course was so underwhelming that it has left a bad taste in my mouth for the whole experience. With all the nice restaurants in Niagra Falls and N.O.T.L., I would try somewhere else before going back here again.
Overpriced for what we ate. Presentation was very nice and service very good. A bit more distance from other diners would have been appreciated, not many diners there at the time
Everything was outstanding
Terrific flavours, well-balanced.
Ambience was lacking for a couple of reasons.
One it’ was a Tuesday mid winter - can’t help that!
The room feels dated. Classic yes. I do not require an instagram-able room, that’s just ridiculous. Just might be nice to update a little. That said I will make a point to return in each & every visit to the Falls. Well done & thank you to all
