Agree it's hard to find, but so worth it. The chef is so talented, interesting flavors, great combinations of seasonings. Our waitress was spot on, just attentive enough without being in the way. My husband had the quail, nicely crisp but not dry. Veggies were so fresh and full of flavor. I had the duck, 5 slices of breast cooked just as I had ordered, and a leg and thigh confit. Best duck I've every had. We shared the gelato for dessert and it was light but exploded with flavor. Good thing this restaurant isn't in our town, I'd be broke and way overweight! We seldom have a real dining experience any more, but AG's delivers. JUST GO!
This was the worst food I have had in a long time. We literally left without even having the desert although we paid for it. And boy did we pay... $300 for 3-person dinner with only one glass of alcohol. I live in NYC. I travel to France routinely and I am somewhat of a foodie and the quality of food absolutely offended my taste buds. Not to mention we had to wait for an hour and twenty minutes. Do not go to this place. I can’t stess this enough. And it’s in a basement of some building in the middle of the tackiest noisiest spring-break like place. Just go to Niagra on the Lake and pick something there.
Excellent meal. Amazing live music. Food was prepared perfectly.
Incredible as always!
Farm to table was really well done. Each course was fresh and creative. Decor was modern and done well. Could use a better wine list w more than local choices
The ambiance, the service and the food are all top rate! We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here and would highly recommend dining here.
Best three course meal I've had in ages. Everything tasted amazing, service was perfect and the atmosphere was great! It was so good we want to come back for breakfast. Worth every penny, you won't be disappointed.
Lovely use of fresh, local ingredients. Corn bisque was absolutely sublime!
Great service with excellent food. Bit of a find in a very touristy area. Sensible sized portions.
The service was top notch and the food was amazing. They were very accommodating to my wife’s dietary restrictions and she commended that it was one of the best meals she has ever had. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner so memorable, we will definitely be back.
Amazing service and extraordinary food! Great local wines too!!!
Overall our experience was wonderful. We were a bit worried that a price fix menu would be limiting due to our dietary needs (vegan, dairy free). Our waiter was very attentive and made sure all of our dietary needs were addressed. We could sense that he truly cared about our experience. The food was amazing. First class. Bravo to the chef. Truly talented. The preparations were beautiful and the tastes were exquisite. Great find away from the ever commercial, chain restaurants. Thank you!!!
Food was delicious and our service was top notch. Our chef gave us complimentary Gin & Cucumber shots that were great
Great, well prepared and delicious dishes from appetizers to desserts.
This was one of the best restaurants I have experienced, up there with my other top dining experiences in Helsinki, Barcelona, Exeter UK, Washington, DC and NYC. I was very pleasantly surprised. The beef tenderloin with almond brie crust and cranberry/foie gras jus was particularly fabulous. Possibly the most delicious steak I have ever tasted. The confit of duck was also excellent, as was a cherry/dark chocolate ganache mille feuille. 'Niagara Falls' and 'fine dining' do not necessarily go together, but this place was great.
Fantastic food, one of the best dinners we have had in years.
Food was fantastic! Love the way the chef incorporates local foods. Staff were totally knowledgeable , friendly and professional. Great place to impress a date or any special occasion. Also 3 course menu was available for a very reasonable price fro a high quality Restaurant. Love our experience at AG. Thanks.
The best meal you’ll have in Niagara. It’s farm to table and it makes all the difference. Worth every penny.
Would recommend: sweet kale salad, corn bisque, the duck, and the grilled peach dessert.
Food here is outstanding! Extremely tasty based on quality ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is not cheap but definitely worth the price!
Definitely recommend! Food was excellent! Server was very kind and knowledgeable of wines and food. It’s a nice restaurant with a romantic atmosphere. We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area!
We have been to this restaurant many times for special occasions, I must say that I preferred the previous format to the current one we just didn’t like the price fix menu options, the choices were alright but not great. The meal preparation was good not outstanding like it was in the past but better than most other places in the area. Would I recommend it yes but will I return probably not I think I can find something better somewhere else. Cheers
We didn’t expect to love this place as much as we did, incredible flavour combinations, shout out the chefs, mans a visionary, they really know how to create unique and diverse dishes with eccentric flavour profiles that compliment each other beautifully. Definitely bang for your buck, 60$ for your choice of app main and dessert, highly recommend the duck and the lamb dishes, they were absolutely incredible. Taste the food for yourself and you will know that the man in the back knows what he’s f’n doing. 10/10 all day every day. I actually almost started crying when I tried the duck leg, it was beautiful, it actually made me emotional, I didn’t even wanna swallow. Service 10/10 never had to look back or wave a finger, they explain your dish to you and all staff was really knowledgeable about the menu! Also portions were perfect size, I eat a lot and i was full by the end of it, not overly full but just enough to feel completely satisfied! Chef if you read this then all I have to say is hats off to you, open a restaurant in Toronto pls!!!
Amazing food for a reasonable price. The appetizer I got was the Ag kale salad and the whole dish was vigorously thought out every combination of ingredients brought a new experience to the dish. The main course was the duck which had great flavours and the garnishes complimented the duck perfectly. Even the cherry which had a sweet initial burst but then the full flavour of the duck sunk into your mouth. The creme brûlée has a perfect custard and if there was no hint of rosemary you wouldn’t even feel it in your mouth. Even something as simple as the cookie beside it shocks you from the taste and texture. Even the service was as good as the meal, the courses are well planned out. Immediately after a course was finished the next one was on its way to us. The waiter explained what everything was on the dish. Fantastic restaurant.
Always amazing. Will be back soon. Loved the ambience and the great food and service.
Food terrific but wine list lacking. Need to add some French and Italian choices. I get farm to table but no champagne? Good thing the cognac was not domesticated.
Very disappointing food quality with
Food was good but rediculosly overpriced. The portions were minuscule. Ie the salad had barely a handful of leaves the lamb had a contradiction of flavors that overpowered the meat. The tenderloin was good, again the flavors were too much. The soup spicy but cannot taste the carrots. More work is needed to balance all this and price needs to be evaluated
The food was amazing. Great tasting and the portions are large. Our server Kelli was very knowledge about the cuisine and local wine. Excellent service. We will return based on her service alone. The staff go "above and beyond" at this restaurant.
Ambience is great. Food was very good but a bit salty for my taste; not quite as good as it has been on the other occasions I've eaten there. However, I will definitely go back for another try the next time in town as AG has been consistently one of the best kept foodie secrets of Niagara Falls, ON and is still one of my favorite restaurants, anywhere.
Food was wonderful but the drinks from the bar were terrible. They were watered down and who puts ice cubes in a cosmo??
Great service and wait staff.
Top quality ingredients prepared perfectly.
Fair pricing in Niagara and a step away from the tourist traps.
As usual, AG Did not disappoint. We were celebrating a 75th birthday and they started our evening off with complimentary sparkling wine. Next was the amuse Bouche which is always a treat from the chef. Our drinks, bread, appetizers, dinner and dessert were all excellent! The service was fabulous. A Must dine if you are in Niagara Falls!
reserved for a family weekend dinner. loved the food, ambiance and freshness of thr food. the entrance could be made better but for a couple I am sure it is piece of cake.
The Best dining experience we have ever had when travelling in North America. The service was fantastic and the food was extraordinary. The restaurant is really nice with dimmed light and it is great for romantic occasions.
Difficult to find but worth it. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his beef tenderloin. My gluten free option were limited, mains and desserts. I had the steak fritz. Too much salt on the fritz overwhelmed my dish. I did not finish it. I would recommend if you are not eating gluten free.
Excellent food! Ok service.
One person was our host, server, and bartender. While he initially appeared to do his best, he was unable to give us the attention needed as our server.
My wife and I had an exceptional experience at AG for our 29th anniversary. The food, service and ambiance were great. I would HIGHLY recommend the restaurant.
It was our anniversary and they knew it but they never recognized it. They sat us in a corner table above the stairs. Staff were all men....which is okay but they were a bit weird.
This place is awesome! The food is fantastic as well as the presentation. I always have dinner here when I’m in Niagara.
The food was incredible, we decided to eat here because the reviews were so good and this place did not disappoint at all. I highly recommend eating here when in the area.
