Afternoon Tea, a decades-long tradition at The Brown Palace, is set amid the historic grandeur of the Atrium Lobby serenaded by a melodic piano. Guests enjoy a pot of properly brewed English tea accompanied by scones served with Devonshire cream and preserves, savory tea sandwiches, and a delightful array of classic tea pastries.

Atrium Cocktails are on Friday & Saturday evenings, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. Sip on classic cocktails, wine, or a refreshing pint with charcuterie and other inventive dishes. Live music by The John Kite Jazz Quartet will complete an unforgettable and lively experience.

Witches Tea is October 31, 202. Halloween themed items will be served, while our servers add a bit of wicked.

Holiday Tea is November 14, 2022 through January 22, 2023. Please call 303.297.3111 x3223 for reservations. A credit card will be required for this iconic experience.

Sadly, our afternoon tea was not up to expectations this time. The food was terrible, the scones were not freshly made. One of our servers had a terrible attitude and was not service oriented. We have enjoyed the Brown Palace soo many times, but not this yr. Something is off right now and I would not recommend it. Management never visited our table to see if we were happy w our service and that should always happen at a venue of this stature.

It was simply a lovely afternoon. The service was excellent and the food was delicious with so much attention to detail. I am a scone snob so they were a bit crumbly for me. The live piano music added to the delightful time. My peach blossom tea brought tasty warmth to the occasion.

Love the Brown Palace and the Tea. I felt pushed off to the side for this tea. We were at a table behind the piano player right next to the staircase. The center area full of tables had available tables that weren’t occupied during our tea time. I didn’t say anything when we were seated thinking the other tables would be full from other reservations.

We took our 3 grandchildren, 6, 10, 11 years old. It was a Friday afternoon and very busy. They tried to seat us at a table that had been set up outside of the dining room, literally in the walkway. I was horrified because we were celebrating a special occasion and unless they were going to discount our ticket, it was unacceptable. They did end up seating us in the actual dining room after I made a fuss. But let’s be honest…at around $80 a head for high tea, who wants to sit in the hall?? Our waitperson was absolutely fantastic. And we had a lovely afternoon.

Nobody explained anything to us about pricing or if we could all get our own tea selection. Or if we had been there before. There is also no consideration for patrons to dress appropriately. It should be stated no shorts and jeans. It’s nice to keep the ambiance of the place and tea if little things are adhered to.

Excellent food and ambience! What is not to love about The Brown Palace? It exudes quality, history, and style in most every way. The high tea service was excellent, a little slow perhaps, but you don’t want to be in a hurry with all of the lovely treats that come with your amazing tea selection. There was a wonderful assortment of finger sandwiches and sweet bites including some of the best scones I’ve had in Denver. The lemon curd and clotted cream were scrumptious as well. My friends and I truly enjoyed the live piano playing—the perfect backdrop to an elegant birthday celebration. If I could improve anything, it would be the cleanliness and overall repair of the restrooms. Other than that, I highly recommend this special occasion venue.

I have been to afternoon tea multiple times. I went again more recently this weekend. The hostess was making some snide comments when she thought people could not hear but everyone else was very pleasant and everything else was as expected.

We felt like our table was an addition out of the way of the main services, and we felt a little ignored. The price is too high for the amount of food that you get. We’ve been to teas at other locations with soup, salad, sandwiches, scones, etc. So frankly we were a little disappointed.

I took my 11 year old granddaughter for the Signature Tea at The Brown Palace and it was a special event that we will remember forever. The hotel is gorgeous and the live harp music added to the ambiance. The scones with lemon curd are perfection. Our favorite items were the tea sandwiches, especially the cucumber ones. The sweets were ok with the exception of the key lime and guava tarts which were the most amazing treats we have ever eaten. The best part was the tea - my granddaughter loved the peach lemongrass and I enjoyed the orange blossom green tea. It is a pricey meal but they replenished our tea sandwiches when they saw we were gobbling them up. We left very full! It was a lovely and relaxing adventure.

Tea at the Brown is an experience to have at least once. Choice of interesting teas (Blue Jasmine is BLUE!), delightful tea sandwiches and pastries, and they accommodate food allergies very well. There is live harp or piano music, and the surroundings are lovely. Interestingly, the price ($50) was $5 higher than listed on Open Table. I suggest they update the notice on the site that they use for reservations. With validation, valet parking is $14. This is NOT an inexpensive experience, but a lovely way to enjoy lunch with family or friends.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea experience, the only thing I would like to see changed is that they clear the table by scraping leftovers from one plate to another right in front of you. It does take away from the otherwise very professional service given.

We came for my daughters birthday for the first time today. Once we were sat, we waited for 30 minutes to be attended to…my husband got up to ask the manager if we can please have a server sent to our table and she was very dismissive of him. She hardly replied. Once we ordered it took a VERY long time to get the tea and food to our table. The coffee we ordered took 45 min. The fire alarm went off a few times and was not turned off for nearly 15-20 min. This was not what we were hoping to experience for my daughters bday at such a high end establishment.
