Afternoon Tea at the Brown Palace
We always have the best time when we have tea at the Brown Palace. This time was no exception.
It is a very beautiful setting with great customer service. The food is delicious and the selection of teas is impressive.
I have to apologize now as we are horrible with names. Our host through wait staff and valet were amazing. Our server was female, H name, foreigner, dark hair. Just amazing!!! What a sweetheart & very kind, professional & all the above. Michael, dont ever let either one of them go, he is the same. We enjoyed our time so so much. Thank you. I mean thank you more than you know. We are looking forward to our return trip.
Service is great! Fun way to celebrate a birthday!!
This was my second time there and it was just as good as the first. The service is excellent and I love the scones. The pianist even played Happy Birthday for our friend. I would recommend this for all.
We have made a tradition, my daughters and I, to go have tea every year before school starts. I was a little thrown off when we left that after spending almost $200 on tea and sandwiches (that are lovely) that I was asked to pay for parking on top of that. Any other time I’ve been it’s been validated, as it is at every other hotel/restaurant that you eat at. I assume this is new because I don’t remember that from years past. I’m just so shocked that an hour in your hotel spending that kind of money you would still charge for parking.
Good for an experience, but not really worth the money. Food was sparse, but lovely. Service was wonderful. Great selection of teas! Elegant place setting. Carpet was surprisingly dirty and there are people walking in and out as they are checking in and out of their rooms. But, overall a pleasant experience.
Tea at the Brown Palace was fantastic. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. They didn't rush us off even after we had finished and were talking. The tea was the star and fantastic, as was the food and dessert. Would definitely recommend.
I love it and each time I take a friend. The choice of teas is excellent.
Took mom-in-law for a surprise b-day. It officially drew a tear. By far the classiest tea spot in Denver. Hotel is beautiful.
This was a lovely experience, although it is pricy. It's a one-of-a-kind event in a lovely 127-yr-old 'palace' you can't find anywhere else. I took my grandaughter from Vermont for her birthday. Something to remember
So lovely. It was our daughters birthday and they went above and beyond.
I treated my friend to afternoon tea as a bridal shower gift. This was my second time at the Brown Palace and both times I had a great experience! The food was delicious, and plentiful. They brought us a second plate of sandwiches and a second glass of champagne. All around it was a perfect afternoon.
My daughter turned 18 so we flew to Denver for short celebration.
The afternoon tea was amazing, but to make the whole experience unforgettable, we did the history tour. So worth the extra time.
So much fun to watch darling sons and daughters dressed up with their parents and grandparents! Just precious. Birthday celebrations too.
Afternoon Tea at the Brown Palace Hotel was so much fun! My family and I had a great time sipping tea, eating finger sandwiches and listening to the great music. Will definitely be back for this experience next time family or friends are in town.
As always, the ambiance is lovely and the piano music is a nice touch. The scones were tasty and the tea was delicious. But the service, oh the service...it is always so lackluster. Firstly, we had two servers wait upon us but neither followed up on our requests. We had to flag a server down twice - once to order alcoholic beverages for a couple of members of our party, and once to put in our tea order. They never brought us extra clotted cream as requested. When it was time to check out we had to wait a while for our server to return. If they could just fix the service, this would be a 5-star experience.
My mother brought me here when I was a child and I still remember like it was yesterday. I brought my daughter and both granddaughters. We had su h an amazing time. Now it will be a wonderful memory for them that I hope it lasts a lifetime.
Wonderful experience for my family. A touch of class in a lovely setting. The tea and the food were wonderful!!
Love the service, the music was amazing and food was delicious and of course love the tea and the champagne!
The people were work there are so amazing as always!
They even had the band play happy birthday for my niece.
Always a pleasure to go to the brown palace for tea. The ambiance is lovely and the pianist is a real added attraction to a very special afternoon. We went at lunch time and certainly had plenty to eat!
We had a very nice Tea. The service was Top Notch. the food was elegant and tasty. The atmosphere is most impressive. My only complaint is that I called ahead and asked for a Gluten-free option for one of my guests. We had to re-communicate the request after our food was served.
The piano man was the best! The service was a bit slow.
We had an enjoyable experience. My only comment is that the scones were very dry and crumbled when trying to slice them.
After having afternoon tea here about 6 times over the last decade, I believe that the quality of service is becoming more perfunctory. This should be an experience to savor but it was not.
Best tea in Denver, absolutely recommend for any occasion!
A lovely sisters afternoon. Great food and service.
It was my wife’s birthday. We’ve always wanted to have tea at the brown palace. It was overall a great experience! They also brought out a cupcake with a candle and played a happy birthday melody on the piano. It was wonderful!
Sandwiches were very good. Scones only so-so, less than expected. Candies were good.
Wonderful experience and music was the best in Denver.
I took my daughter and her daughter to tea. Lily is six years old - her 4th time at BP tea. She lives in CA and requested tea for her CO visit.
Our waiter was a little to busy to provide very good service and the lady assisting him didn't seem to understand English very well.
A wonderful outing! I took my 10yo daughter and we were seated right beside the pianist. We had a fabulous time. Quick and friendly service. Delicious food. Perfectly brewed tea. Have gone several times and will return.
Beautiful place for a special occasion tea. Just lovely!
Our server was snarky and unhelpful. This experience is too expensive to not get top service.
Very enjoyable. We had a lovely afternoon . The sevice was great, the atmosphere was very nice.
What a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Beautiful space, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and an incredible selection of teas. If you are in Denver, this is a must do. It was expensive but truly worth it.
Everything was beautiful. It’s a little pricey but expected at The Brown Palace.
Tea was lovely. My husband and I just returned from the UK and were jonesing for a traditional afternoon tea. The scones are not what we had hoped, quite honestly, as the English scones are a bit different. But overall it was a lovely experience, and we will definitely do it again. It was well worth the price, which frankly, was quite affordable.
