   Lovely place for afternoon. Service was good and selection of sandwiches and pastries excellent. Our hostess was lovely too.

   Beautiful setting with all the Xmas decorations. Staff very pleasant, nothing too much trouble.

   Atmosphere was nice and service was good and very polite. Food was good but slightly overpriced. Was left feeling full and had some to take away but for what it was I think over £50 is alot. Latte was the best I have ever had. I would eat here again.

   Overall it was good. However sandwich selection was poor and mostly on white bread (which seemed liked cheap sliced bread from the supermarket). This let the afternoon tea down as it didn’t feel ‘special’ enough. That being said scones and cakes were delicious!

   Lovely friendly service, no rush. A real afternoon tea with tablecloths, loose tea, great selection of cakes. Can have more sandwiches and tea. Great options for gluten free

   We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary. On the Saturday I’d booked the afternoon tea which was quite overpriced at what we had at £28.99 each. When we arrived nobody came to us for 15 minutes. Once seated our waitress Elizabeth explained to us that the drinks, sandwiches and cakes were unlimited and if there was anything we didn’t like the taste of we could replace it. That wasn’t the case at all. We waited 20 minutes for our hot drinks to arrive and then we waited a further 15 minutes for the cakes and sandwiches to arrive. As our drinks went cold we just about holled a waiter and ordered fresh hot drinks whom forgot about us. I then asked him again 15 minutes later and he apologised and went and got them. By the time it was too late as we’d finished our afternoon tea. Overall it was our first ever afternoon tea experience and we have decided not to come back here for it again and go elsewhere for maya much better experience.

   We had to ask for items that should have been on the table hot water more milk and jam. Not many customers so the waitress was not around so had to wait for things. A better room would have been nice. We were asked if we wanted more sandwiches it was not explained would there be a extra charge.

    Had a brilliant afternoon tea with two friends. Would have been perfect apart from one member of staff who was quite rude when we first arrived, as we had arrived 30 minutes early and just told us to sit down. Didn’t even offer to take a drinks order or take our booking name. We had to wait for someone else to appear who looked after us and restored our initial disappointment. Overall a lovely afternoon and delicious food.
