Got together with friends and had a lovely leisurely afternoon tea. We had reserved and requested a high chair which had been all set and ready for us upon arrival. The service was outstanding. They helped us get downstairs with everything and were accommodating throughout the afternoon. This made us feel welcome and relaxed. The food was very tasty especially the pretzel sandwich. We never felt rushed and were reassured we could take our time. We all thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.

They had no record of our booking on open table despite me having all the confirmations . They were brusque, said they could find us a table once another party finished in around 30 minutes. No accommodation for our dietary requirements that we had sent in advance . We left and no one even noticed , that's how poor it was!!

Our afternoon tea experience was excellent. The tea selection was varied and the tea was well prepared and poured out of the pot tasting very good. The sandwiches and pastries were creative and delicious and a nice touch is quiche. The scones at the end made the order different and were warm and delicious. The crockery is very attractive.

Service was friendly and helpful. The decor is attractive and the ambience welcoming.

I met two friends for an afternoon tea. The service throughout was attentive but not intrusive. The food was very good, plenty of variety and tasty. We were offered a box to take home the left overs. I will go again very soon.

This was my second visit to BB Bakery for afternoon tea. The selection was abundant and delicious. They have a very nice variety of teas, as well as coffees. They offer a lunch menu that is equally appealing. The atmosphere was comfortable and I never felt rushed. Reservations are necessary, especially for afternoon tea. I definitely recommend.

I took my mum here for a afternoon tea for her birthday, I stated when I booked it was for a special occasion and it was for Champagne afternoon tea, when we arrived we waited for someone to greet us but then ended up having to go to the counter, I told her I made a reservation for 15:00, she was looking for ages then told me it was for 15:30 when I had the booking saying 15:00, she then brought a menu over asking what we would like I told her I booked afternoon tea, I didn't want my mum to see the prices on the menu as they are so expensive, she then told us afternoon tea would be £36 pp, my mum felt slighty embarrassed I was spending so much for it, she just didn't want to see the prices as I was paying. We sat next to a crying child the entire time, not sure it's the kind of place for a child but none said anything, none came to check on us, they brought us breakfast tea but no milk so we had to wait and ask, overall the food was great but I'm not sure I would pay £36 pound for it, way overpriced for what we got, the attitude from the staff was rude like they didnt want to speak to you or help, they aslo added a service charge I didn't want to pay as I wasn't happy with the service, wouldn't vist again.

Went here for afternoon tea during our stay in London. This place is a quiet modern ambience in amongst the bustle of Covent Garden. A little gem in a big city. Food was excellent service was brilliant and the location and decor perfect. We will be sure to return.

There really is no better place for afternoon tea in London, as far as I am concerned. I've been to all the big name places. Not one of them has food that is as good. Not one of them feels as cozy and fun as BB Bakery.

Reserved a table for 2 friends and myself for a Sunday catch-up and afternoon tea. Booking was easy and received confirmation for it straight away.
On the day, we were all running late by about 20 mins, and when I called BB Bakery to let them know, they were very nice and helpful and said that it was not an issue.
They had kept a very nice and cosy corner by the window. Upon arrival, you are being given a complimentary freshly squeezed orange juice, which is always nice.
When the waitress came to take our order, she was friendly and quick.
Then the fun started when the cake stand arrived. For afternoon tea, you are given bite-sized little gems, both savoury and sweet, and with a good balance between the different flavours and textures. We had all skipped lunch as we knew we would have food there, but trust me, there was more than enough to feed all of us; despite being nearly 8 months pregnant and having a very good appetite for all things nice, I could not finish my portions.
And when you are finished with the stand, you still have your own little cream tea to come. Though lovely, I had to leave half of mine!
So overall, the food was delicious, varied and plentiful, and the staff was watchful, but not annoyingly present.
We ended up staying for more than 3 hours there, as the atmosphere was nice and cosy on a grey Sunday afternoon, and we had a lovely time. My friends had even asked the staff to hide a massive cardboard box (a present to me)at the back so that I would not see it!
People came and went constantly, but it was never unpleasantly crowded or loud.
I would definitely go back there!

BB Bakery is my all time favourite location for a gluten free afternoon tea, so I wanted to share it with my fellow gluten free friends. Sadly when we arrived our reservation wasn't there even though I had an OpenTable email confirmation the day before. They couldn't accommodate us bc they didn't have any gluten free ingredients in stock. The woman was able to reschedule our reservation for the following day which which was a bit of a hassle but everyone's allowed to mix up. Her customer service was good and offered us complimentary glasses of prosecco and a gluten free cake for our troubles.

Fabulous service and wonderful food.even though there had been miscommunication regarding booking details. I had booked for 17.45 but the bakery had been given 17.00 by open table. The staff welcomed us in and told us not to worry regarding the booking mix up. They could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

I booked afternoon tea at @BB Bakery for a family tea for my son's 13th birthday, his request. We arrived a little early but they were happy for us to take a seat and order drinks. The food was delicious and a lovely selection of handmade quiches, sandwiches, and the pastries and cakes were divine. My son absolutely loves Macarons and they didn't disappoint. They also remembered his candle so he was over the moon. The ambience is delightful. Many people passing by looked into the Cafe with envy, you must book on a busy Saturday afternoon. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely book for another occasion. A lovely afternoon.

Superb from start to finish. When we arrived, we were greeted by a warm welcome. The decor and ambience of the bakery was wonderful with the beautiful china crockery. The food selection did not disappoint either, every morsel was absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and very good.

We left with a great sense of satisfaction after an amazing experience of afternoon tea at B Bakery.

We are planning our next visit soon.

Afternoon tea with visiting best friend, daughter & 6 month old grandson. Lovely welcome & service from staff and superb selection of both savoury & sweet food, all beautifully presented. I had forgotten to mention the baby in buggy when booking and this could have been a problem if the place was very busy, but it was dealt with brilliantly. We were not hurried in any way and the cups of tea were generous. I love this place and we all left happily full. In fact some of our cakes were boxed to take home. Wonderful......

A great location in Covent Garden that is quite and very suitable for an afternoon of snacks, sweets and chatter with the girls. The choice of food is not great and they do not ask about allergies or explain anything, but the decoration makes up for that. They also have private rooms downstairs that can be rented for special occasions.

I booked this as an afternoon treat for my sister and a friend. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon. The place itself is charming with a variety of different china cups, plates etc. Beforehand I'd booked one gluten free option and was told it was no problem at all. All the emails I received from the bakery were welcoming and helpful. My gluten free friend got a stand of cakes and savouries all to herself. Most of which looked similar to the non-gluten free option so that was nice. We started with a glass of fresh orange which was delicious - it was obviously fresh.

The sandwiches were lovely along with mini warmed quiches. All the cakes were lovely too including the macarons. The mini lemon meringue pie was a big hit with all of us. By this point we were stuffed but our friendly waiter gave us some takeaway boxes to take our remaining cakes home with us.

Then it was time for scones! Thankfully they were small and served warm with cream and jam.

Overall the food was delicious, nice portions so you could have a taste of everything. We each got our own teapot with our choice of tea and the service was great. Nothing was too much trouble. It was clearly very busy so I would recommend booking in advance.

Booked afternoon tea as part of a celebration of my husband's birthday. Had seen the BB buses around London which prompted me to look at the website. Very convenient from Covent Garden, we arrived a little early but were shown to our table and brought orange juice straight away. Service was prompt but relaxed and very friendly and we felt no pressure to leave. My daughter is vegetarian, I had explained this in advance and she was well catered for. The surroundings were very pretty, lovely China and flowers brightened a dull grey afternoon. I was glad we had a table upstairs as the downstairs area, though attractively decorated, looked a little cramped. The food was excellent, enjoyed the savouries and the little cakes were interesting and delicious. Nice touch to bring scones warm to the table after the cakes. Only slight annoyance was that when the bill came it was £3 a head more than expected, when I queried this was told the prices were £3 higher at weekends. To be fair this is on the website but not immediately obvious so worth noting if booking for a big party as makes quite a difference. Would certainly come here again

When I arrived I was shown to a table with a cracker and cup and saucer on it, then served the orange juice. The waitress was aware that I had specified no egg sandwich on the booking form which was nice. It was great to have alternative savouries to sandwiches, the winter savory cake was my favourite, really tasty. The little cakes were nice but I wasn't keen on the Christmas cake. I asked for Earl Grey tea with lemon but it arrived with milk which was soon changed. For afternoon tea with a glass of prosseco the charge was £37 which is good for Chritmas in London. Would recommend it.
