We love this brunch!!!! Our favorite place. The food is outstanding
The server, Jenny, was very friendly and fun; as was the manager/sommelier. The wines recommended were fantastic. The food was presented well and delicious. Half of our group lived in the area and the others were from out of town. All were impressed and would come back during daylight hours to really see the beautiful view.
The special occasion was our 30th anniversary celebration. We enjoyed that this celebration went together with your restaurant-week menu. Compliments to your chef(s) very refined preparation of the halibut and tune! The duck salad was superb! The wine served with each round of the menu was excellent! Extremely friendly server and we are definitely coming back with friends and relatives in the nearby future!
We were in Traverse City at the end of Restaurant Week. During this city-wide event, restaurants offer, instead of (or alongside) their regular menus, a $35, three-course meal. One of these meals the night we were at the Aerie was a bone-in New York Strip. I've had them before, and they have been pretty great. This one, however, was about approximately 40% inedible gristle. Although it was cooked perfectly to order and was delicious, I was unable to enjoy all of it: most of it stayed on the plate. It could easily be argued that a first-rate bone-in NYS would be somewhat hard to come by at a $35 price point and, therefore, I should not have been shocked; however, the manager made a point of telling us that cut would have been a $57 item if entre-priced alone. I'm not so sure about that in this case, but okey dokey. Another somewhat odd aspect was that we went to the Aerie bar first and bought a couple bottles of wine. When our table was ready and the wine was brought over, our waiter was visibly rankled that we had done this and as a result --- we assumed --- he wouldn't be receiving the tip on what was about $150 of wine. For the rest of the meal his attention was perfunctory, at best. We left 25% on our $70 dinner tab, so hopefully that brought him at least a little joy (assuming the several other tables on which he waited cooperated as well). All of this said, every other aspect of Aerie was 100%; it was just exceptional! Except for these minor issues, everything was perfect and we would go back there without hesitation, hence my overall 5 stars. It's a beautiful place.

This restaurant exceeded all expectations for us. The food was incredible, perfectly cooked and even got to try a new side dish made from steel cut oats that might have been one of the best tasting things I've ever had. Our server was Jenny, she did a fantastic job. The view was incredible and was a very well nice set up place, constantly filling our waters and making sure our wine was filled as well. I would highly recommend.
It was restaurant week in Traverse City so the menu was set for the 3 courses and the waiter should have known it well. Our reservation was for 9:00 PM and it was our anniversary which we noted on this app. The waiter, Mike, seemed very condescending. We both ordered a flight of white wine which consisted of 3 wines paired with our 3 courses. He immediately brought back the first round and said he would come back to take out order after he took care of splitting a check. We waited a very long time for him to come back and were finished with our first glass of wine before he even took our order. My wife made clear to Mike that she is lactose intolerant and asked him about the menu and what he would recommend. He directed her a good appetizer and entree. They were only offering two desserts. One was a mousse trio and the other an apple tart. Obviously she could not have the mousse but asked if the apple tart was made with dairy. If it just had ice cream, could it be served on the side. Mine said they baker makes the dessert and they have no idea what was in it but he would check. When the dessert came out, it was pretty obvious the apple tart was encapsulated in ice cream. My wife took a small bit to check if it might possibly be almond milk ice cream. It was not. There was nothing on the dish she could eat. When Mike finally came back, we asked him if the dessert was made with ice cream. He stated very defensively that he told us he did not know what was in it because it was made by their baker. It was even made on a “different floor” of the high rise as if that made a difference. He then asked if he could bring out something different for my wife but she was already so disgusted that she said, no. When he came back with the check, he brought back some sorbet and said that he was sure did not have dairy. He should done this to begin with. He acted as if we were a inconvenience. At these prices, we expect much better service.
Excellent portions and food for Restaurant week-best we had and that is the Boat House and Amical.

The service and food were good. View was exceptional that night. Steak was a little stringy but had great flavor.
First I must say that when dining at this restaurant 2 weeks ago, I would have given five stars on everything. Unfortunately this time it was not the same and was embarrassing because I had told the people I took how nice it was and it ended up being pretty bad. From where we were seated, to the server having to be tracked down for everything, the chefs at the omelette station were burning our orders and using the wrong requested ingredients, the buffet lacked in every section except for the salad area in comparison to the last time. It was a disappointing experience but I hope they just had an off day and future Sunday brunches will be better.
Nice atmosphere. Managers and staff very friendly and professional. The food was excellent. The reason I didn’t rate 5 stars is because several menu items weren’t available. Also, several drink items weren’t available.
It was absolutely freezing, when we said something to the waitress she said really I am running around so I am warm. When our food arrived 2 of us had the ahi tuna and the plates and portions where completely different you would have thought we ordered different entrees. The rice was a frozen hockey puck. My friends meal was terrible so they did offer her another which took forever so she ate by herself. They never offered anything to makeup for it. All around terrible experience!
This was my first time in Traverse City and my boyfriend and I came to this restaurant for a date night. We were very impressed by the overall experience of the night and would highly recommenced it to anyone thinking about coming here. The food is excellent as well as their drink options! Service was professional and timely, as well as inviting. I would love to come back and go during the day for a possible brunch so that we could experience the view since we had a late night reservation of 8:45. Thank you for such a great experience Aerie, we will be back!

The food, service, and ambiance were phenomenal! Large wine selection with experts to assist in the perfect pairing. The only downfall is the price. Expect to pay no less than $100 for 2 people.
All was very. My only complaint is that we don`t get out of church until noon and so can`t get there until 12:30. Only gave us 1 1/2 hours to eat before you close. Even an extra 1/2 hour would help.
Awesome experience. Best romantic spot in TC for dinner hands down. Also best filet steak dinner we ever had period. Compliments to the chef for sure.
Devin was our server during Sunday brunch...absolutely outstanding! He was very attentive yet never too invading. The food was good, nothing more than what you would expect from brunch at an upscale restaurant. The view was incredible! You can’t beat it. Devin informed us that it was the tallest building in Northern Michigan, which came as no shock to us as we could only see a beautiful landscape with no sore view in sight! Overall our experience was top-notch, and we will definitely be back!
Below average food. Tries too hard to make food better than it needs to be. Service was horrible. Had high expectations,; was a letdown.
Very disappointed with my entree. Over spiced (not indicated on the menu). And I could barely cut through the eggplant. Salad was very good and service was exceptional. Lounge was nice as always. Being a local, I wish I could say this was on my list of go-to restaurants. But the food is always mediocre. Wish I could give a better review :(
Overall experience was good, however, our waiter's customer service was not the best. I did complain to the manager whose explanation was, they were short staff due to whether and the staff was a bit overwhelmed. I personally feel that when it comes to customer service, that explanation was not sufficient but an excuse for poor service.
I've been here 3 times. It is a solid 3 star experience, limited by the ROI. Expensive for what you get.
We enjoyed our New Years dinner immensely and will return again! Our waiter was very pleasant & attentive to our needs, food was delicious and overall ambiance and view were top notch!
Our food was so good! Our service, not so much. Our waiter was short with his answers then while tending to our table he was quite rude to the table next to us. He was very nice in the end. It seemed as though he had a tiring day or was irritated with something else. Other than that, our food was so good, we absolutely loved it!
An absolutely wonderful Christmas dinner
All the food tasted from a box or a can for their christmas buffet. They had even fruit form a can.

Thanksgiving Day self serve buffet. Had to wait 20 minutes to be seated with our reservation. Food was fine; just not the excellent caliber we are used to at Aerie. We had the final reservation time of the night (6pm); some offerings were plentiful, others were all gone. Had to seek out wait staff for water many times. Wanted to order a bottle of wine, but took so long for server to return, we declined as most of our party was finished with their food. We REALLY wanted coffee with the desserts. No one around. Finally asked another waitress to bring coffee. Our waiter did deliver it, but a good 15 minutes after we asked. At this point, the majority of the patrons were gone, so we were perplexed as to the lack of attentive service. We were a party of eight, the bill was approximately $300. I left a 15% tip....very unusual, as our minimum is normally 20% or more. But as we pretty much took care of ourselves, it seemed sufficient .
Most of the food was cold.
Nice location and pleasant staff but the food emphasizes appearance and not taste. Need a new manager and chef.

Amazing from start to finish. The only thing that could have been better is a fabulous sunset..it was a cloudy evening but the views were still spectacular with the fall leaves and the misty clouds.
The neighboring table of ladies was having a hooting great party...they were having fun...we were looking for a quieter atmosphere but we had a lovely time, fabulous food, great wine, attentive service. I will definitely be returning :)
